First off being welcomed into any establishment is a blessing in itself. Everyone was accommodating and friendly. Took hubby there for practice with his new purchase. He found out a few things about said purchase and enjoyed his day. I was patiently waiting my turn and then I got impatient and went to rent my own handgun to practice. Baby the service was exceptional. The price of everything was amazing . I was expecting to spend more but definitely worth the trip. Now if you know me you know I have fired a handgun but not since 2015. Apparently I was holding the weapon wrong and maybe could've sliced a thumb. Thank goodness the employee was watching and made sure I was aware and for that I am extremely grateful and will recommend this place to anyone that mentions going to a read more

Fantastic gun safety course. Don was our instructor. We covered everything from gun handling, misfires/jamming, laws, aiming, stance and loading the gun to actual shooting. The course was well priced ($97) for 4 hours. We had a great time and left with a much greater knowledge of gun use and safety. read more

Nice retail store with great service. Found a great consignment piece to buy and my friend found the exact firearm she'd been looking for that is difficult to find. Definitely would return, entire process was easy and fun. 10/10! read more

Great place to put in the work and get better. Being comfortable, confident and able to hit the target is what it's all about.

Nothing comes close! "The Vault" is the best gun range I've been to in years. When you arrive, there's plenty of parking. When got there early, and they were nice enough to let us in. The place is immaculate, everything in its place. The business is family owned and operated. They are so nice and pleasant. They get you signed in and ready in minutes. After you head to the back to rent the guns. These guns are beautiful. They also allowed us to take multiple guns into the range. This was such a great experience. After we returned the guns and they thanked us and did come again. How many establishments are that courteous? I'm so glad I came. Any gun enthusiast in Atlanta, should definitely give this place a try. You'll be happy you did. read more

This is one of the better run ranges around here. It is well maintained and staffed with competent employees, and has cool dogs.

I'm not one for leaving reviews, but I saw a few of the shitty reviews and thought...I've been shooting here for a hand full of months on different days of the week and at different times. My experience has always been solid. I'm never waiting, never been dismissed or treated unfairly or unprofessionally, and receive attentive customer service whenever I have a question or inquiry. I bought a personal session with Claudia and it was worth the low cost and because I hadn't shot in a while, it was necessary to feel comfortable enough to return and shoot by myself. This place seems to run a professionally and safe so if you're looking to get reckless just don't go and go somewhere else. I eventually bought a membership, and as a veteran, I feel the price and perks that come with it are a nice packaged-deal. I've talked with other veterans and first responders who shoot here and the feelings seem to be mutual. If you're looking for a little spot to shoot, this is a good spot. I mean...you can't please everyone, but I for sure have been to similar establishments that sucked in comparison....for sure. read more

Very helpful and very knowledgeable Staff. Great customer service ,Very New shooter friendly

Love the place. My go to for ffl transfers. Great and knowledgeable staff. Love the atmosphere. Never a bad experience at the range.

I've really enjoyed coming to this shooting range for years. The only issue is the big goofy rude guy who works there. Not sure why he's there at all? Maybe family/friend but wow what a downer. Such a shame. I would have made a big purchase if it wasn't for that arrogant rude employee. Other than that the place is great. Tact and humility go a long way. read more

I took a gun safety class with Claudia and she was very thorough. This type of class is a must-have if you are going to own or be near firearms. There were logical steps from safety, to the laser gun to the range for learning proper handling. I appreciated her attention in swapping out a pistol that was a better fit midway through. read more

As a Black woman, vibes matter and I appreciated the kind, clean and welcoming vibes of the Vault. I booked a private lesson with Sebastian and I am feeling grateful. He's kind, calm and collected. He made this novice feel really safe and didn't give me too much extraneous information to process. I brought my new pistol and he focused on safety, my understanding of all the components of the pistol, building confidence and establishing body memory. Sebastian is a kind and smart dude. I'm excited for my next lesson at the Vault. read more

What a great place! Was here for a Braves game and decided to check out The Vault and am so glad I did! Great customer service and knowledgeable staff. We spoke with the owner and she was very helpful and nice. Neo the canine employee was an added bonus! I'm thrilled with my purchase and will come back to the range the next time I am in town. Highly recommend - friendly helpful staff who didn't patronize a female with questions. They also recommended Pasta Bella for lunch and it was awesome, too! Thank you "The Vault"! read more

I took a gun training course here yesterday with Chief Mason, and it was simply awesome! He put us all at ease. He was personable and patient with us, and I was enthralled to know we would have a chance to shoot actual guns at the range. He spent two hours teaching us the basics of how to aim and shoot. He taught us tactics for protection from a threat or robbery. The class also included a cursory review from some Georgia gun laws. I really enjoyed going into the range and engaging in target practice. The Vault is awesome. They have high-quality merchandise and the range is awesome. They ensure ultimate safety as well. It's a delight to have a spot so close by where I can go and practice shooting with my own guns. You will not be disappointed. Sign up for a class or for one of their range memberships. They are awesome. read more

Wild West Traders, which looks to be double branded as The Vault/Vault Guns, is located on Austell Road not far from the Windy Hill intersection. The building itself is pretty unassuming and is nothing fancy from the road. The building itself is a plan brick building with a red metal roof and stained red awnings over a few of the windows. They have one sign on the road and one insignia on a front window, so you really have to be paying attention when you are looking for the place. There are two entrances, one set for the gun range and the other for the store, however they are connected, so you can get to either side through either door. If you enter through the front doors, you have entered the store, which as you would guess, sells guns and gun accessories! The front counters showcase the hand guns, tasers and clips and they even have the rifles hung on the walls behind the counter. On the floor you have a few racks of accessories from holsters to bags, grips and even gun lock boxes. As you venture to the gun range part of the place, you are greeted with another counter holding guns, these are the ones for rent in the event you didn't bring your own to shoot. This area is no frills, the counter has the guns and the ammo and targets, along with ear and eye coverings are held behind the counter. They do have a few old chairs in a corner in the event you want to relax for a few before or after tearing up some targets! The range itself is also pretty straight to it, nothing fancy. You walk in the padded vestibule, where you MUST put your gear on prior to entering the actual range, and then you walk into the range where they have 6 lanes on each side. Currently they are trying to keep patrons at least a lane apart, but when they get busy its not possible, so make sure you have fog resistant goggles if you are keeping your mask on! Pricing is competitive with range rate plus gun rental (if you need), target(s) and ammo. Normal range rate is around $15, targets are $1 and ammo is always at the market rate, we paid $37.99 per bag. There were two of us, we went through 2 bags of ammo, rented one gun and got 2 targets...paid around $130 total. One thing I did enjoy about Wild West was that you did not have to be a member to use the range, unlike a few of the nearby large scale sporting good/gun shops in Smyrna. On the flip side, the one thing I did not enjoy was the service. We arrived at the range looking to shoot for the first time in years, maybe 20 years, as I am in the market to purchase and wanted to get some experience with a particular model before purchase. We asked the gentleman working the desk what his recommendation for a "first timer" would be, and he legit shrugged his shoulders and said "I mean, which ever you want to shoot". I had someone with me who knew a fair amount of guns, so we went with the Glock 19. You would think after just stating we were beginning, some semblance of direction would be provided, however the gent simply got us to sign the waiver, gave us the gun and directed us to the range. Again, lucky for me I had someone to assist me with the basics. After we finished in the range, we went in the store to see what they had and to price the Glock 19 for potential purchase. We asked the gentleman working if they had any in stock, as we just shot it at the range and really liked the feel. He said they didn't have any and then walked off. No additional questions, no additional effort to help us talk about other guns, no follow up of stock...legit just up and walked off. Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves at the range once we got in and for the price, it is not bad at all. I was troubled by the poor service received on both sides, especially as a true novice to the gun world. From other reviews, it doesn't sound like that is the norm here. Based off of my experience, I will recommend WWT as a solid range for folks who know what they are doing and are not looking for the experts help. read more

Great family friendley range and show room. They have some great guns to rent if you are not sure what you want. The people are very helpful and knowledgeable. A great group of shooters are there for IDPA matches one night a week. Some very talented shooters. Men and women. The owner is very qualified and trained at the Glock school here in Atlanta. He and his wife will make a custom holster for you while you wait--cool service. They have great ammo and all the gun accessories you will need. They have many safety classes available and they come highly recommend. Try the Vault they will treat you like family. read more

The Vault - Gun/Rifle Ranges Near Me - Marietta, Georgia

Very disappointed in this small business. Please take your hard earned money and valuable time to a shop that truly deserves it. A few good alternatives... Adventure Outdoors, GA firing line, Gov Gun Club, Western Arms. In an industry that should be rooted in upholding safety, inclusion and empowerment, the environment created by Vault mgmt clearly indicates that they value none of these key principles. As a customer please expect terrible, if any, customer service, the possibility of being spoken down to often in demeaning ways, toxicity and inadequate assistance from staff with unprofessional, unethical and rude demeanors. The stores retail selection leaves much to be desired. You will commonly find outdated models, low inventory on items, and overpriced offerings (including used firearms). Trade-ins are often appraised under value. On numerous occasions myself and others have witnessed unethical and unprofessional business practices conducted by the owners that directly misaligns with nationally recognized firearms industry standards. Kim (co owner) frequently directly and indirectly disrespects customers by not only calling individuals out of their name, but most commonly belittling them for not having evolving knowledge of firearms. While Bryant (co owner) seems eager to increase his firearms knowledge base as a businessman, Kim often displays a disposition of narcissism and the inability to incorporate useful feedback to increase her limited firearms experience. Emotional intelligence plus IQ are a must have when handling firearms. The Vault has an unsafe and inadequate shooting range for customers that value their safety and life. No range rules are present within the shooting range, they often run out of clean range materials (rented eye and ear protection), safety incidents are handled in a very reactive not proactive/ diligent manner and there are limited emergency equipment options available to attend to disastrous situations (AED, CPR, first aid). Furthermore, the Vault has very limited training resources currently available to maintain pace with a rapidly demanding firearms environment and customer community base. The lack of attention to detail and internal communication at this business allows for a lot of gaps left open for error often times at the customers expense. In this industry that can cost someone their life. It is clear that the Vault's lack of basic professional judgment, integrity, concern for others welfare and inappropriate actions will and has affected the lives of others. The Vault in its entirety is a complete joke to the firearms industry and based on their lack of values and terrible business practices I'm sure they'll be out of business soon. read more

Response to my reviewed post. I never knew you were suppose to down grade people with "you're immature" "couldn't tell you were 18" as well as "I'll band you you'll never shoot here again" especially considering we told the staff 4 out of our 6 participants were first time participants. I guess this is the new way of teaching and enforcing safety at the vault ? Thanks. read more

A few friends and I decided to spend some time at the range. Admittedly I have not shot a gun in several years, despite the fact that I own one. As such, I had it checked to see if it needed to be cleaned. They were honest and said that it looked good and there would be no need for me to pay them to clean it. The front staff was very knowledgable. And it was clear that safely is the number one priority. The gentleman walked us through the different caliber guns. He did scold me a little for fanning a gun when I was checking it out. Oops. He also shared suggestions about my personal gun. Price: FANTASTIC. Honestly the best I have ever seen, and I have not been to a range in years. Most ranges charge by the hour. Not these guys. It's $12.00 for the entire day. The targets are $2.00 each, rental of ear and eye protection is $2.00. The cost of ammo varies by the type of gun you are using. The staff asked us if we felt safe shooting alone since none of us had shot in a while. We advised that we did. He noted that if we ran into any problems we should come and get a staff member for assistance. We did have to seek assistance when a bullet got stuck in my gun. The staff member advised that the cartridge just did not load correctly. He said it happens sometimes. He took a test shot. We did not have any problems after that. Overall, this is a great range to practice at. I am going to sign up for the intro class and plan to take some lessons. One last note. According to the website, Wednesday is ladies night. This means that the $12.00 range fee is waived with the purchase of targets and ammo. Essentially you can shoot for about $20.00! I think it would make a cool ladies night out. read more

Went shooting here yesterday. Decent range rules and wasn't very busy. Price for range of $18 is on average for Atlanta. When you walk in there is one sheet of paperwork to complete that has the range rules on it. Gentleman behind the bar helped me right away and I was able to get on the range with no fuss. In my opinion, this range was the easiest I've been to yet in terms of minimizing fuss to just get on the range and shoot. The only issue I have, is the ventilation. The second I fired a single round, all the smoke and lead immediately went into my face. They do have ventilation, but its set up in a way that everything gets pulled towards the shooter which is problematic. In all honesty, if they fix the ventilation then I would gladly change this to a five star review for just that one adjustment. Other than the ventilation, this seems to be a great place to shoot. read more

Good looking, seems to be quality materials and construction, and works very well. Lots of room inside for meats to be smoked. Thermometer seems to be pretty accurate. I did put a hi temp strip around the door to seal it better as a lot of smoke was coming out. I like it so far and have made some incredible pulled pork using it. Would but it again. One photo shows it with the optional cover which I would recommend. read more

Great selection of guns and accessories. There's also an indoor range but I didn't feel like shooting today. (What? I must be ill.) I did look though the goodies on display. I was tempted to buy the shotgun ($250??) and there was also a Smith & Wesson .380 Bodyguard without the laser that was surprisingly well priced. Lots of other handware that was calling my name. I ended up buying a small lockable box so that I can bring my firearm with me when I fly. The guys working the counter didn't seem to mind that I didn't stock up on stuff. read more

I was new to Georgia, and decided to give this place a good ol fashioned try. The moment I walked in I was welcomed. This place was great BEFORE they got an updated range range, now it's even better. Everyone I meet is always eager and happy to converse. The staff is knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I'd spend my money here anytime. And my dad, as old and crotchety as he is, also loves this place. I Would recommend this place any day of the week. -Pew Pew read more

I've always had an exceptional experience at the Vault. The owners Kim and Bryant take gun ownership seriously and have always made the Vault feel like a safe haven for people new to gun ownership. I bought three guns Three years ago from this trader. I have been to this range to this range three times it is very neat and will set up they give free range time away all the time. The best shooting range I've been to thus far in the Atlanta area. Amazing service, many open lanes, and cheap cheap! Renting a gun was cheap and the ammo that comes with the rental was just $14. Usually shooting ranges hike up the prices for ammunition when renting a gun and usually lower it to like 25 rounds but this place was on point! Also the range has a ton of cool options when it comes to the target. It can spin, light up, and you can create various scenarios to run through. Will for sure be back and highly looking forward to shooting here again! 5/5 stars for me read more

Food was great, staff was friendly, drinks were good, no wait time due to reservation requirements.

Took a gun safety class here with my 12yr old son, as I'm in the market for home protection. The instructor Tim is amazing; not only is he knowledgeable, he's personable, patient and has a great sense of humor. He went over different gun types, bullets; what they do to targets, the importance of hand placement, cleaning your firearm and a few other key points. He kept my son engaged, allowing him to ask any questions he had. This class also allowed us to go into the range. Tim was extremely patient; It felt as though you had your own personal trainer. He took his time and made sure you were comfortable. This class is a must I learned so much. All the staff here is friendly and inviting. Definitely will return; top tier facility. read more

I would like to start off by saying the store and range itself looks pretty good. The place is very clean for sure. The reason why I'm giving this business a 2 Star is because the overpricing of ammo. Of course they only allow frangible ammo to be used in there range, but it is way too much money. It cost me over $100 for 2 people to shoot there. THAT'S RIDICULOUS!! I don't really live in Atlanta, but I paid way less to shoot in Riverdale, and Kennessaw. I wish I would've known about Adventure Outdoors because from what I was told, I most likely could've used my own ammo. I'll tell you what though, if you would like to spend less on ammo, purchase online from East Alabama Gun Club, and go to the Adventure Outdoors Gun Range. If you don't mind the drive, you can go to the outdoor range in Waverly, GA called Strongpoint. It cost $20 to shoot there, you can get a box of .223 for around $10-$12 a box. Now if you don't mind spending the money, by all means, go to The Vault. In my opinion, it's not really worth it. Again, the facility is nice, and very organized. It's just too overpriced. read more
