Had a good time for sure. The puzzles were quite challenging and involved, and felt rewarding when completed. Hints were given as we were 'beginners', but they did let us solve the problems on our own as much as possible. The only real concern I have is them taking a driver's license and recording the information in their computer system... not sure what that's about... seems a little excessive personally, especially since there are plenty of businesses that use Point of Sale Credit card systems that don't require you to input Driver's License information... read more

A group of 3 of us did the Grim Stacks room. My husband and I have done a couple other rooms before with friends, but this was my Mom's first time. We picked this room because other Yelp reviews made it sound like it was one of the easier ones. The place was very clean and professional. I REALLY liked that they give you a tutorial of the different locks that will be in the room and we were able to keep our personal items with us in the room in a large basket. They provide clues when it seems like you're stuck, and I'm glad they did or we wouldn't have made it through! The room itself was very interesting and the theme was fun. We will definitely come back here again to try some of the others rooms! read more

Entertainment factor - 4/5 Ease of Game - 3/5 In only my second ever escape room, I was really impressed with the quality of the room. Lots of props, multiple types of locks, and clues literally from floor to ceiling. As we also discovered, our particular challenge (to rescue a girl strapped to a bomb) involved two rooms (although we used pretty much all our time just getting into the second room). They also transmit clues throughout the game, although most of the clues told us things we already knew. The staff were very friendly and said only nice things about our performance and efforts. They also took pictures of us at the end. Although we left smiling (and I was there with my half siblings, aged 14 and 16, so it is fun for all ages), I had to give four stars for two reasons. First, I honestly think the room was impossible. The code to get in to the second room is really long and frankly, the clue to get the code didn't really work (I can't go into more detail without spoilers). And even the staff member seemed confused as to how some of the locks in the second room were to be removed. Second, I wish we were afforded more time. The other escape room I did gave us more time as nobody else was waiting. I believe that was the case here, and it certainly builds customer loyalty to give a few extra minutes if they are available. Wow! Pretty awesome Escape Room. We did the Rescue Room, which has a 10% escape success rate and we managed to free ourselves with about one minute left. I think it is amazing how much work goes in to putting together an escape room experience. Then, as in this company's room environments, one escape room is not enough, two or more have to be constructed so that escapees can bring friends and either share ways to win or compete again in a different room. Then there is the enthusiasm of the room manager who has to set the scene. Here, we were given enough information to get us pumped and ready for action. We had a team of seven so we had a distinct advantage over a team of two or three. I don't think I'd attempt this escape room without at least four people in the group. It does help to follow directions carefully and a little bit of luck can also help in this endeavor. Good luck! read more

I called to get information on booking an escape room and was quoted $16/person on Sundays. I was told to call back "anytime" to book. I called back twice the next week and no one answered or returned my calls. I sent an email the following week asking for a call. They did call, and told me that the Sunday discount no longer existed and the price had nearly doubled. I followed up with an email explaining that I was quoted a certain price, that I had a group counting on me, that if someone had called me back sooner the discount might still have been in effect, but no one responded to that either. I had to change plans for my group of kids at the last minute which was really inconvenient and disappointing. read more

Well, we failed. We attempted Farewell and couldn't find the heirloom. This was my first time in an escape room so I have no idea how this compares to other escape room. We had a group of 7 (Four adults, two teens, one child). There were a number of puzzles to solve. We unlocked all except the last two. I would guess we would have needed another 20 minutes to solve them. All of them a solvable for sure, but only with the clues. Without the clues given on the screen in the room, we would have been there for days. The staff was friendly. The place is easy to find. If you are into escape rooms, I think this one is worth a try. read more

Had a great time here tonight!!! Did the RESCUE room w four of us; we hadn't done it before so weren't sure what to expect. It was sooo fun!!! We got into the room and got some initial clues and were then set free...as needed, we got some extra hints. It was interactive and fun, but safe to do for all folks (I'm very pregnant so definitely safe to do!) We solved the mystery, rescued our victim and had about 7 minutes left to spare!! The staff was super friendly, there were fun props for pics at the end. My husband and I are owners of an escape room out of town and we visited this place since we were in the area and we LOVED IT! Truly this is everything you could hope for in an escape room. We have done over 50 rooms (maybe more, we forgot to count) and these rooms were delightful! EVERYTHING about these rooms were high quality. We look at escape rooms with a different lens than most, and I have to say, I was more impressed with their rooms than almost any other. They have thought through it ALL! Quality in every. single. area. The rooms are not over done, but have original puzzles and styles. We played both the Pipe Room which was delightful and not too difficult and we HAD to play another of their games because Pipe Works was so good so we chose The Curse and it was a tad harder but just as great. We wish we could have played their other games but we ran out of time. Please, do yourself the favor and play this game. Any of them. You won't be disappointed! Good time with good Friends! They had some very clever puzzles (figuratively and literally)! With a group of 8 we could not finish in the hour! Without giving out any important info, you HAVE to think out of the box to figure many of them out. We had a great mix of friends with different strengths and everyone contributed, but we still did not finish in the hour, but had a great time trying!! Crimson Heart: completed in about 35 minutes! :) I've done several Escape Rooms and I feel comfortable saying that Crimson Heart is a great room for beginners. I feel part of the puzzle could use improvement but it's not a big deal. With that said there was also another puzzle I've never seen in any other room I've done and I thought it was very clever. As for the set/theme I thought it was nicely done and super fun. The only thing I was kinda sad about is that the host didn't do a walk through which I think helps the entire team get an idea how the room was completed. read more

They never gave us a hint until we were really struggling and the hints were creative enough to just help us along. We did the one that has to do with books and unlocking the magical creature. we have done several rooms around Phoenix and this was by far the worst experience we have ever had. I am not normally a complainer, but this was just too much. From the moment we stepped into the room, everything went wrong. Our clock never started to count down, we started anyways. We had told the puzzle master that we only wanted clues if we asked for them but were also told that if we were going in the right direction, we wouldn't receive a clue.So when we screamed and yelled for 15 minutes for them to fix the clock and asking for clues, we thought maybe we were on the right path. They fixed our clock at 46 minutes left and then asked us if we wanted a clue. 5-10 minutes later we finally got said clue and it was something we had already figured out. Every clue we finally got, except for 1 were things we already figured out. We did not make it out of the room. When a different girl came in to let us out, she asked if we wanted to see how the rest of the room plays out. we said yes. She showed us and then told us we were about 7 minutes away from solving it. 7 minutes. We wasted that much time asking for clues in the first place. she then asked us if we liked the room, and we told her what happened. She told us she was told that we didn't want clues at all. We left the room and went outside and talked. We were all pretty upset and the experience and it left a bad taste in our mouths. I am fine at admitting I failed, but we didn't fail this one. It was the lack of attention from the staff that caused us to fail. I went inside to complain and talked to a woman who said she was the manager. I explained what happened, and she tried to blame everyone but her and her staff. She tried to say we didn't want clues, when we said we only wanted them if we asked. I asked for my money back and was told that they couldn't do that because we went through the room, but she can refund us the money and put it on 4 gift cards. I told her I would take the hit to my card, because we are never coming back. Like I said earlier, I am perfectly fine admitting when I failed, but it was the staff that failed, not us. If you want to have a good experience with an escape room DO NOT come here. You will be sadly disappointed. read more

We did the pipes room tonight and did 4 vs 4 with our family. The rooms are supposedly identical. Except our family in the red room had a box with 3 keys and our blue room had the same box with only two keys. Pretty much without that 3rd key we could not move on in the room. We kept mentioning over and over how we were missing a key. Finally when the game was over they basically told us our key was in the wrong spot. Then she asked why we never said anything about missing a key and we were like uh we did the whole time and she told us then we should have came out of the room and said something. Kind of defeats the purpose of an escape room lol. After spending over $300 they gave us a coupon for two people to come back even though there was 4 of us that pretty much sat there wondering why we were missing a key. All the girl could tell us is it wasn't her fault because she didn't reset the room. Understandable, but if you lock a key in a box we have zero access to then you basically set us up for failure. You could have at least offered 4 tickets to come back for the 4 people who were accidentally sabotaged. read more

Our group is slightly obsessed with escape rooms and this new location did not disappoint. The online booking is straight forward, but I do wish the level of difficulty is listed next to the rooms on the website. I called and asked for the levels and continued with the booking for The Curse on the Emerald Seas (the hardest room they have at the moment). The room has great props and the clue master was excellent at realizing when we were struggling with a clue. He even gave us encouraging remarks when we were on the right track but started doubting ourselves. The puzzle is pretty linear so a group of 4 was perfect - otherwise there may be some people who can't actively participate since a lot of the puzzles required us to huddle around a table that would be too small for 6. There were a couple steps that I honestly don't know if we would have gotten without the clues, but we successfully escaped and still felt a great deal of accomplishment. Currently they have a deal for 20% off if you book your next room on the same day (fantastic!) and if you book online you can use the code WEEKDAY for $3 off if you book Mon-Thurs.
