Purple Haze is a Headshop. And if you're too young or daft to know Jimi Hendrix, you might want to google him. It's a headshop stuffed with with rows and rows of beautiful glass pipes, bongs, and...that's the extent of my knowledge. But there are many, many colorful, pretty, and...useful(?) smoking-related items here. The guy who greeted me was in his 20's and strolled out from the back, ready to help me, though he certainly wasn't pushy. If I was to buy a present for someone, I'd feel alright asking him; I didn't get the vibe that he'd laugh at me or make fun of me once I left. read more

I've been to....every head shop in Colorado (probably). This place REEEEKED of pot. I came here to grab a Detox for my exit UA....the dude trailed off confusingly on some story about his friends using the drink and some lady that comes in twice a month to take the drink "just in case"...his mouth had that smacking sound of cotton mouth stonedness...(dude, wait till you get off work.) The extra strength Detox was $37 and the ingredients were literally a thousand times stronger than the drink I have sitting on my dresser. He said they've carried the drink for 8 years, and from what I've heard it WORKS (it's a masking agent, not a cleanser). My test is tomorrow...so hopefully a win is in order. Didn't have time to check out the glass/prices, but it looked pretty nice. Note to Purple Haze staff: Don't smoke pot IN the store. read more

Purple Haze is about as average as you can get. I came in here a few days back (Easter) looking for a cheap, good quality pipe, and left disappointed. * The store worker (owner?) was sort of attentive, he didn't give me any attitude or rudeness, but all his answers were short and unclear. * The glass selection was pretty good, but I found the prices to be unreasonably high, particularly for entry level pipes (I was just sick of rolling at this point and needed something for that night). $30 for a small, thin imported pipe is NOT a good deal. * The prices on other products like papers were average, as was the selection. In short, I held out and ended up rolling a J and I am happy I waited as I found a better shop down the road a few days later. I wouldn't recommend this shop, but I have seen worse, there is just really no incentive to come here, unless I break my other pipe and need one asap! read more

Great service . Came in today looking for a bong I saw a few weeks ago. Accidentally walked in before store opening and was very kindly told to wait. Once opened, grabbed new a bong and bowl I had had my eyes on for a few weeks. After starting some conversation with the store worker she had given me a discount on the bong saying "she loves when customers come back and it was meant to be that the bong was still there for me." ... wish I got her name. They feature China made glass! Thin, frail...imaginably like the children who probably made it in a sweat shop. Maybe that's harsh but the quality is honestly the lowest I've seen in a long time. They didn't have the piece we needed. The employees seemed very nice, the store was decorated and clean, and overall well put together. This place isn't for Coloradans, 100% marketed towards naive tourists. I wouldn't recommend it unless you're in dire late-night need. read more

TERRIBLE store. Bought a $50 scale that was suppose to be calibrated. Went home, found out it didnt weigh anything properly. Went back the next day, the employee recalibrated it for me. I went home again, tried using it, and it had the EXACT same problem. Went back in a third time, and guess what? The new scale they gave me didn't work. They would not give me a refund even though the product I bought was not working as intended. Neither of the two employees seemed to give a single fuck about any of this. FUCK THIS PLACE. They don't care about their customers at all. Also, when I politely asked if I could get some sort of compensation for having issues with every scale all the way up to the FOURTH one we tried, the reply I got was "Well you can spend more money and get a better scale if you want one that works." Seriously? The first FOUR scales I had the pleasure of watching mess up should have been a clear sign that SOMETHING was wrong with your products, and then instead of offering even a slight discount or any sort of compensation, I get told to spend even more money on another scale!!! LEARN SOME BASIC DECENCY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE ETIQUETTE. Truly upsetting experience at this store. I wouldn't even recommend this store to somebody I hate. read more

My boyfriend and I were driving across the country and decided to stop in Denver to look at the different glass shops. I must say that this store was the best store I have ever been in. I was super impressed by the selection of glass and the prices. Brent who helped us out was beyond helpful and a ton of fun to chat with about their products. The only downside is a lot of Denver headshops seem to buy glass from a lot of the same sellers and this store is no exception. Good selection, fair prices but when you take into account their multitude of available discounts (Veterans, Police, Firefighters/Paramedics, Seniors, Red Cards, the list goes on) you definitely start noticing some serious deals. Sometimes they can be slow to acquire new stock of a particular style, and they can't seem to keep the industry favorite Vector Nitro Torches on the shelf, but nearly every time I visit I leave happy. Most of the time motivations for smoking purchases are short term in nature, but if you're willing to wait the staff is more than happy to find what you're looking for and arrange for its transfer or order, so this makes it less of a problem when you can't find what you're looking for on the shelf. read more
