They're either unwilling to attempt delivering a package or cannot figure out how to use a 4 digit key pad like everyone else. Either get out of the shipping business or learn to deliver a package. I'm not going to spend an hour of my time to go down to your pick up location to pick up a package that should have been delivered to my address. Horrible service. Never had a good experience with them. Drivers lie about delivering or rather attempting at delivery. They were supposed to deliver today but around 5 I received a message that my delivery was delayed because of lack of an entry code to my building. Problem was, I already updated the code two days ago. I contacted support and they confirmed that they saw the code but the driver said he tried the code and it was invalid! But the code is a buzzer code linked to my cell and all other services including Amazon uses it. And then they say the machine might be broken. And why might I ask, it is broken for you but not for Amazon delivery?It's absolutely ridiculous. Absolutely terrible service. They asked me to schedule a pick up at on time. I scheduled it between 9 AM to 12 PM. They showed up at 4:30 PM. I told them on the call that I am not home, and the pick person got angry with me and hung up the call. When I called to reschedule the pickup again, the person on the call told me that schedule pick up option doesn't really matter. I'm extremely disappointed with Purolator's service. I ordered a pricey item that arrived at their Grapevine, TX facility on November 19, 2024, and as of January 3, 2025, it hasn't moved. When I contacted customer service in December, they said they'd trace the package. I provided all the requested details, hoping for a resolution. After two weeks with no response, I reached out again and was told they couldn't find any record of the package in Canada--which I already knew, as it was last seen in Texas. Order Christmas presents on Dec 4. Original delivery date was Dec 9, this changed to Dec 13, it's now Christmas And my kid's presents have not shown up. Puralator's online assistant can only give me an estimated delivery date of Dec 20 which obbioisly didn't happen. Purolator is very frustrating to deal with. They have circular automated customer service by phone or online that never actually get you to assistance. They have been dishonest sighting bad weather as the reason for delayed shipments however that message was 2 weeks ago and has not been updated since. The real reason for their delay is due to high volumes because of the Canada Post strike. If they were just honest about it I would understand but since there has not been bad weather across Canada that would cause any delay for the past 2 weeks they are simply just lying to their customers. Just received notice that numerous attempts were made to deliver a package (which is odd as someone has been home this whole time, and two other packages have been delivered by other companies with no problems) and I need to pick up the package at a pick up location an hour away from my home. The last experience we had with Purolator, the delivery driver must have signed for the package him/herself as the signature was no one from my family, and it said that it was delivered to my door (it was not). While I was on a 45 minute wait to speak to someone from Purolator, my husband found the package at the top of our driveway. I purchase a lot of things online, but will not be purchasing from places that use Purolator to ship. read more

There's a lot of one star yelp reviews only talking about Purolator's courier truck deliveries thus skewing the reviews of this specific shipping center location which might have made the rating lower than it should be. This review is solely based on the actual in-person services of their shipping center location in downtown Vancouver. I had an item I wanted to return to Amazon. I was told by Amazon's customer service that I needed to take my packaged item in person to Purolator and show the clerk a QR code given by Amazon on my phone. (Return shipping didn't require payment on my part.) When I arrived at the Purolator shipping center location, I was told by the staff I had to use the self-service kiosk and scan my phone there. Call me old-fashioned but I very much prefer full-service checkouts with a real human (just like in the 90's!) over self-serve kiosks. I try to avoid self service kiosks as much as possible these days. I insisted they scan the package for me at the counter but there wasn't an option to do so. To their credit, they immediately offered to go over it with me at the self-serve kiosk and walk me through it. It's actually easier than I thought! After a quick scan of the QR code on my phone at the self-serve kiosk, I placed the printout receipt along with my returned item on the front counter and that was it. I was in and out within 3 minutes since the line up to the counter was short. They were nice about it as they walked me through it. I explained it was my first time returning an item using this method and I dislike self-serve kiosks. No judgment or disdain from having to help me at all. All in all, they were fast and friendly. I now know how easy it is to return items to Amazon when I have to go to Purolator. It would definitely take me less than a minute to scan it and drop it off at the counter myself next time at the kiosk. I read in other online reviews that this is the only Purolator in the greater Vancouver area that accepts Amazon QR codes for returned items. If that's so, I think Purolator really should allow more shipping centers that allow Amazon returns because it was kind of a hassle to go downtown. Pretty painless process overall, 4 out of 5 stars based on this visit. And yes, my returned item was safely and timely delivered by Purolator to Amazon's warehouse a few days later. I do not like to write negative reviews but in this case I feel it's necessary. VISA is replacing my credit card and a rush was placed on the order Friday Nov. 1 2024 I was advised in the tracking app that it had arrived at a sorting facility and that the anticipated delivery date was November 5 consistent with a rush order of 2-3 days. On November 7 tracking shoed the card was still at the sorting facility so I called Purolator to get a status update. The agent I spoke to refused to advise me of the status even though Purolator sent me the tracking number. As of Nov 7 and 8 (today) the card was still at the sorting facility even though it had arrived there on November 5. I called VISA for an update and it was told by Purolator the card would not be delivered by November 12 or 13 more than double the time the rush order had indicated for delivery. This shabby performance has caused concern because I have automatic payments now going unpaid which risks my credit rating that currently sits at the top of the scale. I found Purolator to be insensitive and inept at least as far as this important order is concerned. I have advised VISA not to use their service in future for the sake of its clients and customers. I doubt I will hear from Purolator and it gave an excuse to VISA that it would be even later due to the November 11 Remembrance Day holiday that should not have been a factor for delivery in the first place. This "delivery" company is atrocious - from delivery to customer service. We had a package attempted to be delivered today at 10:30am. We were home and buzzed the delivery driver in. Instead of bringing the package to our door or leaving it in the mail area, they left a notice card which means we now have to take the time to drive to a pickup location to get our package. I contacted customer service through their live agent asking why they wouldn't leave the package if we were home and Julie H was very rude and not helpful. It also appears Purolator gave us the wrong tracking number according to Julie and she was not even remotely helpful in solving this problem and ended the chat before I could ask anything else. Not even sure where to begin with this. Ordered a package from Best Buy, used the tracking # to follow the package. All seemed fine until it came time for delivery. Showed the package was out for delivery so I stayed home waiting for it. At 5:30 pm the tracking updated to say that it was "unable to deliver: recipient unavailable" definitely not the truth. I called customer service to get some answers on this, no help at all, told me to watch the tracking again the next day for delivery again. Item was returned to the sort facility as per the tracking with no updated delivery time or date. Have since received a text message stating it was on it's way, however, the tracking app does not match up. Still waiting............. Update: Still no package at 5 pm, but the tracking app did update and say package was delivered. Called customer support again and after a bit was told they would get their tracking specialists on it. Was given a case ID and told I would get a call by end of day or the next day. The tracking number shows it's in the Richmond warehouse. No one sure how accurate it is though. I asked them to make a phone call to check if they have. But they kept telling me I need to call their customer service which is ran by Eastern time. They don't answer my call of course. So I went to back to counter again to get Richmond warehouse info. Finally they gave me street address. What a great customer service! Not only delivery guy, counter guy is also useless. They simply refused to deliver it due to "incomplete or incorrect address". Took me 20 minutes to speak to a representative, who told me there was no "buzzer number" in the address. Facts that the buzzer number matches the unit number, that we have an electronic directory at the entrance and that we have never ever had any issues with any other courier including Canada Post, Fedex, UPS, Amazon and a variety of small exotic ones did not matter, I was being lectured about the the buzzer number being part of the address. I had a delivery that was coming in today, So I took the day off to ensure I get the package. I called Purolator in the morning to tell them all the buzz codes and phone numbers just in case. They assured me the driver would call when they got here. I was at home all day. There was no call - I left my phone on full ring. There are no missed calls. Suddenly a notification came from my package tracking app - that they could not deliver because I "was not available" I was available. They didn't bother trying to complete the delivery. I called the depot and instead of understanding all our complaints, they attempted to justify their behavior and invalidate our complaints by saying that even if the driver has a phone number, he will not call unless instructed to. If the driver can not stop even if the street parking is just full, he will just move on and mark it as an inaccessible delivery. The agent also said "This delivery was sent out today and the delivery attempt was also today, so I'd say that's pretty good". It's not pretty good as sending date is irrelevant when delivery was not attempted. This means that even if you expect the package on a specific day, its up to the whim of the driver to decide whether he feels like finding parking or not. This isn't new - if you read the other reviews, many of them have the same issue. They haven't fixed it since I last lived in Vancouver 6 years ago. This company consistently has never learned from their mistakes and does not care about their customers. Even pickup points are scarce as an option. They have had in their possession for 86 hours to date and still not even an expected delivery date. I have lost an important customer because of this. I was expecting a delivery yesterday. It didn't come. I was subscribed to Purolator's tracking notifications and received updates yesterday that the package was in their system and sorted and scheduled for delivery today. It didn't come, of course. No phone call, no update from Purolator. I called their customer service but couldn't reach any live body to ask for accurate information. Too many calls apparently. So I tried their chat tool. What a horrific waste of time that was. I answered the same questions at least five times in five separate attempts only to have their chat tool crash over and over. I asked to speak to a live chat agent and that crashed too after I explained the situation. Finally got a live chat agent who told me the shipment would NOT arrive today (no valid reason given) and I'd have to wait three more days. Today is Friday and so they won't even attempt to deliver until at least Monday now. No apology given. No concern at all that they failed to meet their own promised delivery date and scoffed at any suggestion that they should refund shipping fees. Horrible customer service.
