Had a SERVPRO project manager come for a mold remediation inspection/consultation. The project…read moremanager then claimed that there was probably more mold throughout the whole house and suggested gutting the WHOLE ENTIRE apartment where this mold was located. He also claimed there was most likely trace levels of asbestos because of the horse hair/vermiculite walls in a late 1800s house...DUH!! And for that reason it would then become an incredibly expensive asbestos removal gig...are you serious?? They were going to charge thousands just to test the mold, and Im 100% sure they wanted to get the asbestos test done ASAP to lock us into doing all the unnecessary work they wanted to charge us for. The project manager talked about all of this highly sensitive information in front of tenants, and was horribly unprofessional...It seemed like he was doing it on purpose. They try to scare the homeowner into committing to a contract with incredibly predatory terms...so they can take advantage of you!! Safe to say I cut ties with this company and any predatory mold/asbestos testing company they work hand in hand with. I suggest speaking to your local municipality about their rules and regulations regarding mold don't listen to the mold remediation company especially not SERVPRO. Although this project was revisited twice due to an initial "mis-diagnosis" (with the previous Soil-away regime), Jack took ownership to rectify the basic floor foundation issue and ensure no more tiles would crack.! Jack's demolition team,under Brad, communicated clearly when they would arrive, describe their daily work, and respected our property. The work area was left so that we could resume a normal daily lifstyle. Jack was there onsite thruout the demolition cycle of the project as was the project manager, Tom. As Brad and team completed the demolition cycle, Jeff, who would be completing the base flooring, tiling and grouting was the consummate professional. He approached the project as if he were working in his on house.His attention to detail and skill to merge the new tile into the existing fabric of our existing flooring was impeccable. We experienced an attic insulation removal job due to animal waste and feces. The NE Decon crew…read morearrived as stated and got to work. We own a Post and Beam home that did not have ceiling joists for the crew to use. They remedied that problem easily and removed all the fiberglass insulation and feces. Then Hepa vacuumed the entire surface removing any objects and dust. This crew was extremely thorough. We were in good hands. Pam then fogged a disinfectant throughout the attic.
