We bought our house only 9 months ago (Jim did the inspections) and now, due to our job, we're moving again. We just had a potential buyer come through to look at the house and their inspector found extensive dry rot in our basement - including important support structures. How did OUR inspector FAIL to give us that information? That's not a small issue. It's not a difference in inspectors either because I had a private contractor come out afterwards to give a second opinion. He saw the same thing. On top of that, he MENTIONED knob and tube wiring but he did not go into detail about HOW MUCH active knob and tube was in the house! Again, we found out just how much by a potential buyer's inspector. And I had it verified by an electrician. Anyway, because of what the buyer's found (that Jim neglected to tell us) they backed out of the sale! We were first time home buyers. We trusted Jim to help us find issues to consider when buying this propery! These are expensive fixes! I think it's not too far fetched to belive that he only has his welfare in mind when doing his work. So, if you're considering hiring him - be careful.

The job was done quickly; however due to the dryer vent having been put in incorrectly by the builder and because of that having come out during the cleaning process (this issue was addressed by Richard at no extra charge, and we ended up with a more secure vent because of what was done,) the whole job took a bit longer than anticipated. Richard also explained exactly what the builder did for the venting instead of what should have been done and how the builder had not constructed the dryer venting to code. We now feel more secure about there being no lint build-up in our dryer vent, which could have caused a fire. We will use Sunshine for all future cleanings and when we finally decide to replace the entire dryer vent set-up, which was done on the cheap by the builder.

I didn't know if it could be moved. John got his backhoe through some tight spots around the house and grabbed the cab and pulled it out. He maneuvered back around the house and got the cab in the dump truck. He then picked up a heavy old engine and 25 tires. They also went back and picked up scraps of metal and the bumper/scraps and raked up all the glass. John and his helper were so friendly and professional and had a can-do attitude. They were so nice and had a great sense of humor and were great to deal with. They did everything for a very reasonable price and very quickly. I would recommend this company 1000 times over.
