Carlos was very efficient and checked in repeatedly to ensure everything was drying out, also removing baseboards to allow the walls to dry out. I joined a group of neighbors to have our ducts cleaned by Paramount and unfortunately this was not…read morea great experience for us. While I think they did a pretty good job with the actual duct work (although no before/after pics so who knows?) they left a mess behind and after 2 weeks of correspondence with their owner she couldn't admit they did anything wrong and offered no real solution. First the good: Easy to set appointment up, guys showed up on time and completed the work in the time they said it would take. The bad: the guys came in the house with no foot booties on, covered in green spray paint (from painting dumpsters?), and left green marks in several spots on ceilings, walls, and vents, tracked the hose in several spots on my carpet, and left metal shavings near the unit where the hole was cut for service. After we called to voice our concern they did send the crew out the next day to address those, and to their credit the guys were apologetic and did make an effort to clean . However the carpet still has marks and there are several ceiling spots that will need to be touched up with paint. The major complaint was with the vent removal, where they pulled several lines of paint along with those vents from not cutting them first. In some spots the drywall came up with that paint. After we sent pictures to the owner she assured us it was caulk and not their problem. She never recommends caulk to customers however that was the solution to fix our problem, rather than offering a small discount off the $500+ we spent on the job. Luckily for my neighbors we went first and complained immediately as none of them had the same issues of careless vent removal or sloppy work in general. We are in a new build neighborhood where all of these houses were finished about the same time by the same foreman, and 2 of the other houses had used the same painter we did. If that wasn't the case I may have bought in to the owner claiming it was my builders fault, or the painter, but I don't think we have the special house here. While not a huge deal it is frustrating that I will now have to spend my free time patching drywall and repainting several walls/colors and hope I can match with the 2 yr old paint.

He recommended three testing companies. We got the testing done and Wes reviewed the report and indicated that the mold levels didn't merit remediation. He explained thoroughly the process and expected value, and helped us decide that the potential gain probably wasn't worth the cost. I actually had him do a site visit (very reasonable trip cost), just to be sure, and it confirmed our decision. Net it out, integrity and ethics. Would be my first call for any job in his category.

And I would also say that when I contacted you that I informed you about possible urine smells and stains either on my carpet or my mattress from my dog. It wasn't until you all returned that you then decided to use the UV light which you should have done the first time y'all came out to pin point the areas. So besides the stairs and the mattress you had to redo my room still smells and stains still remain on my carpet. And you also commented that my carpet is old as if I asked and didn't know that myself. So yeah you came back and "cleaned" the mattress but besides that nothing else was done correctly.

They handled everything from remediation and plumbing repair to demolition and full restoration, and the basement looks better than before. After that experience, I hired them again for unrelated work and found their rates to be extremely competitive. They are a husband-wife team. Ronney does the handyman work and Angela handles the admin side of things. I contacted them in early 10/2023 to move a light fixture, hang a barn door, and build two hatch doors to our basement crawl space. Initially Angela was very responsive, professional, and detail-oriented. The estimate she provided was fair. She asked for deposit of about half up front to purchase materials and we agreed that we would pay for the work in increments as it was completed. Angela said her husband could start work on the light within the next day, which he did. My mistake was in not confirming when the remaining items would be done. After this first visit, I received an email on a Friday morning with an invoice for a portion of the work that had just been completed. I noticed it while I was busy out driving my kids around and flagged it to pay over the weekend. By 5p that evening, I was receiving texts demanding that I "please advise" about an unpaid invoice. Though I found this pushiness odd and off putting, we had no problem paying for work that had been completed, and so I stopped what I was doing on Friday night and paid online. After this, I did not hear back for several weeks. I messaged to check in and let Angela know my availability. She responded with a strange, abrasive wall of text about how backed up they were, how she was facing serious health problems, how she had been clear with me that they were 6-8 weeks out (she had not), and how there were no refunds (I had not asked for one at this point). I let her know that it would have been helpful to know the timeline upfront, but as the repairs were not emergency items, we agreed her husband would come out 11/20 or 11/21 to finish (about 6 weeks after paid deposit). Communication after this went as follows: Multiple times, Angela scheduled for Ronney to come and he did not show. She gave excuses for this, citing medical issues ranging from neurosurgery to mold toxicity to blocked arteries. I received bizarre texts and emails from her demanding immediate responses at unprofessional hours - midnight, or waking me up at 7a on a Saturday morning. Throughout, the only apologies about missed appointments we received were passive aggressive comments insinuating that we were being impatient and uncompassionate when we asked when the items would be completed, for example, "I'm sorry my deathly health situation has caused you problems." When we asked if it was best for us to find someone else to complete the repairs due to their health issues, Angela was adamant that they do not give refunds. In general, we felt stuck using a business that created way more drama and chaos than we signed on for. We understand that unforeseen circumstances sometimes interfere with a business's ability to deliver what they promise. However, those circumstances become suspect when they repeatedly interfere with promised appointments. This is exacerbated when accompanied by unprofessional communication. The icing on top was when Ronney finally showed up to complete the work. It was sloppy, unfinished, and unprofessional (see attached pictures). We are now in the position of having to hire someone to clean up the mess in our basement. We would not use this business again and cannot recommend them to others.
