A more experienced guy came out later in the day with a different machine and went over two rooms that had left spots after spraying. He did hallway upstairs and I told him to forget the other two rooms because at this point half of my day was gone. I was satisfied with the way the carpet looked. We were still charged the $78 with no compensation for my time wasted for one morning and one half of a day with two inexperienced employees. Also, they parked their trucks in my driveway and on street in front of house and left several oil stains. Who's gonna get that out?!?The next day I called the office bc the spots from the pretreat were visible again and bc no one bothered to contact me about this inconvenience. We paid the down payment and were approved for financing, which was a hard hit to our credit, but we believed this job was worth it. When Justin and Ed showed up for the job 2 weeks later, we were immediately told that our total was going to be OVER DOUBLE what we were quoted because Tony made mistakes in his inspection. When I told them that was unacceptable, they called Tony and said they could take $1,500 off of that extra charge. Still making our total much higher than the quote we signed and agreed to. The quote did have that specific part of the service on there, but Tony did not estimate the cost of that part correctly and was short FIVE THOUSAND dollars. I called Tony to see what could be done and he apologized and said he took "full responsibility" for the mistake. But I guess not because the original quote we signed was never honored by the company. I get that everyone makes mistakes. But an honest company would honor their quote and not make the customer pay double for their mistake. Or at least try to stay CLOSE to the original quote. I get maybe needing to add on 100-200 dollars, but five thousand?! When we said we would need to cancel the service, he said he would issue a refund of our down payment. We are devastated, as getting our crawl space encapsulated was a necessary job to keep our home safe for our family. Now we will need to contact more companies and get on a wait list and wait probably 4-6 more weeks as other companies have longer wait times. I see why now.
