*CASH ONLY ALERT* Yesterday was only my second time ever, at Purity Nail Boutique. A friend of mine treated me to a pedicure for my bday. I chose the Crystal Spa pedi. A young woman named Wendy worked on my feet. Let's begin with the cleanliness of Purity. The environment is spotless, bright and airy. The foot basins are throughly disinfected between customers (which I REALLY appreciate.) The staff is cheerful. A woman named Wendy, treated my feet and calves with care. I really liked the foam, jelly soak. I didn't come with my own polish as I normally would but the available colors were pretty vibrant. One day later, my hot pink toes still look great and my naturally tough feet still feel smooth. I do wish that I had been allowed to soak my feet a while longer. That seems to be a thing with many nail salons-rushing the soaking portion of the pedicure. Great outcome though. I haven't had any service besides a pedicure at Purity. Maybe I'll go for a manicure next. read more

Please do not go here! They are very very racist. They randomly charge you whatever price they come up with as they're working on your nails. I was charged 78 dollars for some cheap gel paint that peeled right off in a week. Mind you they charge extra for length.... if these are 78 for these short ass nails why do i pay the same price when i get Long Nails... Years ago when the owner (guy in the front) mother was working they were very polite and did very nice nails. They don't greet you at the door to ask what you need if you're not caucasian. After waiting for over an hour to be seated, my friend asked for someone else to cut and file her nails because Ling Ling couldn't get them even...the workers looked around and spoke to each other in Chinese like they always do. I actually really enjoy going to New Purity. The prices are very reasonable and the quality of service is good. They do a solid job with manicures, pedicures, and eyebrows, and I usually leave happy with the results. The only critique I have is that they seem to have new nail technicians almost every day. If you find someone you really like, it is not likely you will see them again. Personally, I do not love that model because not every nail tech provides the same level of consistency and service. A system like that only works if the service is consistent across the board. Overall, it is a nice spot with fair pricing, and I would recommend it, but I do wish there was more stability with the staff. read more

Passed by this morning with a friend around 10:15am and saw that they were open for business! My friend went in and she was able to get serviced immediately! She got a manicure, which ran her $15 (quite the steal! Salon across the street charges $19) My friend was very pleased with her manicure. The staff was friendly and was taking every precaution to ensure safety. We got our hands sanitized upon stepping in, and sanitized once more before beginning service. All employees had face masks and shields on, and they had a plexi guard separating us and them as a extra layer of protection. They also made sure we were masked as well, and to top it off they have air filters! Overall, great experience! The establishment was spacious as they thoroughly enforced crowd control to ensure enough space was had between customers to follow the 6 feet social distancing protocol. DO NOT GO HERE !! I got a new set of acrylic nails on Friday the 13th and the first day two nails broke off and I went back to get them fixed. Well I was visiting NY and now I'm back home in vegas and it's Wednesday and two more broke off. They use the cheapest products and have no idea what they are doing. Best 30 bucks no frill gel manicure I ever got! I happened to stumble across this clean, spacious and welcoming nail salon after dinner with my friends on a Tuesday night. The service was meticulous and everyone was super sweet. Ask for Selina! She works only Tuesdays and Saturdays but I got the best gel done with her. As a nurse, regular polish never stays long on my hand so I always get the gel manicure done. The color selection was great and they have different brands of gel colors. I had an appointment yesterday for a gel mani and regular pedi. Me along with one other person were the only ones in the salon. It was surprised that a salon during the afternoon was empty! There were also three technicians working, so the under-staffing matched with the small crowd. Also, the crowd level was surprising because there was a 20% holiday sale yesterday for the holidays (That can only be obtained by paying cash). This told me that even though I believe the salon had workers wearing masks, plastic boundaries between customers and workers, hand sanitizer, and temperature checks, the normal clientele was still worried about getting COV ID-19. I tried to match the colors of both my hands and toes, and I think I did a good job (Look at the pictures below). I asked my nail technician if they matched, and she agreed. She did me pretty: my nails are so neat and shiny. The only thing I found I problem with her is that she was not open to talking to me. She would give me one word quick answer in response to my questions. I personally like talking to my technicians during the service to ease time. I'm only give them a 4 star for consistent customer service. They honestly try their best to do a good job, fix any issues and service in reasonable time. As one regular stated in another review...the neighborhood has changed (gentrification) so the prices have gone up. The owner must keep up with the rent so they raise the prices and rush services-customers suffer. I just have to say I wasn't as satisfied as I could've been and have been after previous visits. read more

Like others have said, this place is a no-frills salon. I can't speak to their other services since I usually get manis/pedis. Overall they do a pretty good job and they are pretty cheap. The place is pretty clean and take walk-ins. They do have a nice selection of polish including the Essie Gel collection and you can also bring in your own and they don't give you a hassle or extra charge. Please for your own good and nail health do not go to this place. I went here yesterday for an acrylic fill. The technician was lazy and really rough with my hands and didn't change her ways after I told her she was hurting me. She didn't finish taking off the polish I had on before so it's bleeding through got the current manicure. All my nails are jaggedy, misshapen and thicker than a quarter. After paying $25 for the fill, I am going to have to pay some other salon $60 to fix the mess they made of my nails. Even the polish job is a hack with hair and air bubbles all over. read more

I would have given 4 stars because there is 1 lady who does a good job with my pedi and gel mani. However, the last 2 women I had were not so great. Both just slapped on the first coat which didn't cover my whole nail. The second woman wasn't even going to file my toes; I had to ask her to do so. She also did a sloppy job with the polish - it's uneven at the edge of some of my nails. Her massages were weak too. Just seemed very rushed and half-assed. I called at maybe 6pm on a Sunday to see if they would be able to accommodate 2 walk ins at that time and they seem cool as a cucumber with it so me and my coworker locked up the salon and jumped right over.(its literally across the street from our salon) We were seated right away and they were all ready to work. I saw tony and he did my full set with gel color. I liked that there was a straight price for tips no matter what shape i wanted. Gel was an extra $20. I sat down and told him I wanted "pointy but not too pointy" and he did a technique I never seen before. I've been getting my nails done for a long long time and this is the first time I've been 100% satisfied with my shape. He put the acrylic on the nail first and then once it was dry a bit he cut the sides and then shaped the rest with a nail file. I could tell he was getting tired because he paused a few times for a rest but I'm all good with that! The shape came out PERFECT. Nothing was crooked or weird looking. They are all the same length and shape. Also I want to mention, while me and my coworker were in our chairs they all started cleaning the place. I mean CLEANING. There was no room for games lol they were all with a mop and broom in hand! The place smelled like clean laundry that you pick up after dropping it off at the laundry mat ! I came in got a UV full gel set and I wasn't really impressed about how they came out. Tony was my manicurist and the only one that knows how to work with UV gel?! I requested coffin shaped nails and they came out looking kind of funky. I had to ask him to clean up my cuticles, I thought that service came with a full set. The shop was slow at first, but the they had a rush of customers come in. So at this point I notice he started to move faster and the work just got sloppier. Second time because it's convenient but never again. I went in to get a mani/pedi with a broken toenail. The nail technician did a terrible job filing. After repeatedly asking her to file my nails for symmetry, she polished my toes and pretended to not understand my request. When speaking with the manager, he proceeds to tell me that it's to late to fix the problem because she had began polishing. I didn't even have the energy to put up a fight. This sucks to say because initially I really liked this place. But every time I do my nails I am unsatisfied. This is the best nail salon in the neighborhood so that says a lot! When I get a fill in the technician does what he wants and can never finish the entire experience. I enjoy sitting with one person not two or three. More specifically the Brooklyn famous Chinese restaurant KUM KAU. SO.... I picked up my food from Kum kau. And realized that their dining area was closed. Probably due to covid. Came here today for a mani & pedi. Other than the nail tech using the same buffer and nail file on me and another patron, the outcome was pretty good! Okay so I must give credit when it is due although I wasn't happy with the treatment I received from Tony the last time I attempted to get my nails done. He does a pretty good job at full sets and Selena is amazing at gel manicures and pedicures. The only downside is for those who wear full sets... there is normally only one nail tech available who does them so be prepared for a wait. Went here for a pedicure and was completely satisfied. Place was clean. Utensils was fresh out the pack and the customer service was great. My only complaint would be that the pedicurist kept asking me time and time again to get a ten minute massage for $10 and a spa pedicure. It didn't bother me too much but I know know what I want when I walk into most nail places and I don't like be nagged or forced into doing or making decisions that I clearly wasn't interested in.
