A few days before my scheduled cleaning, while I was out of town, the owner contacted me and said she had concerns because previous customers had not paid for services. Although we had already agreed on the payment terms when the appointment was booked, she then requested my full name, phone number and a credit card to hold the appointment. I suggested that she send me a photo halfway through the cleaning and I would send payment at that time. She declined and canceled my scheduled appointment. I understand that businesses have the right to establish policies to protect themselves. However, those policies should be communicated before accepting a booking--not a month later, just days before the scheduled service. Changing the requirements at the last minute and canceling the appointment left me scrambling to find another cleaning service before returning home from vacation. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this business based on my experience and would advise finding another cleaning service for your needs.

I raised concerns multiple times and asked for specific notes to be added to our account so that the cleaners knew where to pay attention, but despite those efforts, the issues continued and in some cases worsened. It included simple things like the TV console and desks not even being dusted to fully missing cleaning entire rooms. At that point, it became clear the problems weren't being effectively addressed. On the positive side, Andrea, the coordinator, was always very kind and responsive, and the pricing was reasonable. However, consistent quality is key with a cleaning service, and that ultimately fell short. Because of this, I wouldn't recommend the company.

If you choose to work with her, do not let her refer you to Hummingbird HRD (Crystal and Brian Mansanares), as that is where everything unraveled. Jaime first helped me after a Christmas morning plumbing disaster, and at the outset, she was fantastic--quick to respond, knowledgeable, and actively engaged in creating thoughtful layouts. Because things seemed to be going well, we also hired her for additional design work in our kitchen and living room. But when she referred us to Hummingbird as the general contractor, she stepped away entirely, leaving us in the hands of an inexperienced team that led to an overpriced, incomplete, and poorly executed renovation. Where Things Went Wrong Jaime and Crystal turned out to be personal friends rather than longtime collaborators, and our home was essentially a "guinea pig project"--a fact Jaime admitted only after things had gone terribly wrong. The staggering lack of professionalism from Hummingbird resulted in months of stress, wasted money, and a home that remains unfinished to this day. After Crystal declared the project "done" (despite glaringly poor workmanship), I asked Jaime to see the state of things herself. She agreed with me that the quality was unacceptable and even apologized for how badly things had turned out. She admitted that Crystal lacked the necessary experience and recognized that we had been unintentionally used as a test project. To make matters worse, she also told me, "Wow, I didn't realize you were so detail-oriented--I would feel exactly the same." As if they thought they could get away with subpar work and I wouldn't notice--truly insulting. Jaime's Final Disappointing Choice To her credit, Jaime convinced Crystal and Brian to attempt to fix their mess, but she ultimately abandoned the project. Despite personally acknowledging all the flaws, she later sent me a completely contradictory statement: "I have every faith in Hummingbird completing the project as promised, and overall, I believe they have done an exceptional job." This project was supposed to take 4-6 weeks starting in March--it was still dragging on in November, at which point I cut ties entirely because it was no longer worth the emotional toll. To this day, our home remains unfinished and cheap-looking, a painful reminder of the stress and financial loss we endured. What We Actually Got for Jaime's Fees After paying her design fees for both the bathroom and kitchen/living room, all we truly received was: * Layout options * A recommendation for Hummingbird (which proved disastrous) * Help selecting a kitchen table and rug Had we gone with a different general contractor, I might be writing a glowing five-star review. Unfortunately, given how this played out, I cannot recommend Jaime Langer at all.

Some tenants of ours claimed to have used them repeatedly over the past several months and said how much they liked them. The tenants were moving out so I went by for an initial pre walk-through and thought, hmm this place does not appear to have been regularly cleaned by anyone let alone a cleaning service every other week. The unit had an overall not-very-clean kind of grungy feeling. The tenants insisted this cleaning team would be doing an extra special deep clean on move out. On that day they started at 11am and did not finish until almost 8. For that amount of time I was thinking the unit will definitely be in move-in condition. Not even close. I felt bad for these women so even though it was after 8 pm, dark and hard to see details, I said it looked fine but the truth is that it was not up to par and we had to have other cleaners come in a few days later to finish the job. Every area was left un-cleaned by Eco-Clean. The floor in the kitchen still had visible scuff marks all over, the kitchen sink had metal marks and stains in several places and when I asked why, they said it was the "best they could do with their natural products on an older sink". I was in disbelief so I brought over some Bon Ami powder (purchased from Vitamin Cottage) a soft scrubber sponge and in 5 minutes I had a pristine clean sink. Windowsills were dusty and dirty, some appeared to have been wiped haphazardly by a dirty rag, the list is long of what was not done for even a basic cleaning. For a "green" cleaning company it was odd that one of the team members had brought in her own container of "Comet with Bleach" which I did object to them using on the older tub, so I ended up cleaning it myself. I figured she must have known the "natural" cleaners they are told to use were not performing and was trying to sneak in the bleach cleaner. Oh the best part was the "cleaning" of the antique brass doorknobs/pull plates. They told us "we use Barkeepers Friend because it does the best job". Ok but when finished, the knobs were nothing short of sticky, dirty and stained looking. (Yes I have photos). I went and got some Brasso brass polish and they were all gleaming in minutes. (Brass polish is not a natural product by any means but we had to do something to clean them, they looked much worse after the Barkeepers Friend than they did before the cleaning) The realtor came by and said "when your cleaners arrive, ask them to be sure and do the light fixtures". She assumed the unit hadn't been cleaned at all, that's how overall un-impressive it was left by Eco Clean. Enough said.

Further disappointed after the owner's obnoxious response (although I was expecting it and her excuses). The interaction has just reinforced my already poor experience with them. Was planning on hiring them for a biweekly cleaning, but was super unimpressed with the business and their customer service. I found the people on the phone to be rather rude and he lady seemed annoyed and almost condescending when I called for clarification on their hidden fees in their cleaning. Their voicemail was full once when I called and when I did get the voicemail they said the fastest way to get ahold of them was via email. It took them three days to respond to email. Completely understand that small businesses, but they have the consumer absorb all of the business costs. They charge a fee for credit cards but refuse to take cash for the services. They also ask you to buy a whole bucket of natural cleaning supplies if you schedule more than 3 cleanings with them. I already have all natural cleaning products in my house. The experience wasn't horrible, but incredibly lackluster at best. Really wanted to like them, but just left with a bad feeling from them all around. The snobby lady on the phone made me not want to give them money at all. Also feel like their responses to poor reviews on yelp are somewhat unprofessional.

They left dirt and grime everywhere and I had to clean after they came. They advertise on Groupon, but don't actually accept Groupon. Not only that, despite their "100% Quality Guarantee" their website advertises, they won't actually fulfill it. Below is a screen shot of their website. Promising to "reclean, refund, repair, or rectify" a situation with an unhappy client. They refused to give me even a partial refund. This is undoubtedly the worst clean I have ever had and the most expensive one. Spare yourself, the money, frustration, and a dirty house by using another home cleaning service.
