When it was my turn to get ready for my vow renewal, I wouldn't have trusted anyone but her. She understood very well that I am not someone that normally wears makeup and she listened carefully to my request to make me look as natural as possible. I was glowing, she enhanced my natural features without making me look like a different person, which I was admittedly very nervous about. She gave me the best haircut my unruly hair has had in years. I'm Alaskan Native with thick hair that is hard to style. I had to get used to the amount of time it took. She takes her time. She also blowdries and styles it to make sure it looks just right. I had to leave abruptly because my scheduled bus ride was there. She made an appointment so I could come back and check it. She improved an already great cut. I'm happy with the way she takes her time and checks her work. There are other regulars and they seem to have known each other a long time. One customer brought food in from nearby Dudley's and the two chatted like old friends while the stylist started coloring her hair. I finally found my new hairstylist.

My first experience…read morewas wonderful, they were able to squeeze me in before an appointment, which I was extremely grateful for, they gave me exactly what I asked for and that set the tone for me, finally I found a salon I will love! Or so I thought.. I came back a second time after being assured over the phone they could take us in, great! We're on our way! Mind you we live 35 min away. I come in with my daughter, only one of the ladies was available as soon as we walked in, fine I'll wait, no big deal. After sitting and waiting for the other person to be free (which wasn't long after we arrived) she proceeded to ignore me sitting there, walking past me MULTIPLE times, being reassured by the lady cutting my daughter's hair that they'd be right with me, and then after an hr I am told that they'd had an appointment and didn't have time for me, I understand an appointment take precedence over a walk in, but then why make me wait just to be told no?! STILL, I came back again! Trying to give it yet ANOTHER chance, this time being considerate of THEIR time and making an appointment. I show up for my appointment 10min early, she is still with her current client, no big deal, I'm early. Waiting, waiting, waiting and yes WAITING, I was barely acknowledged when I walked in, and then proceeded to be ignored while the stylist went well past MY scheduled appointment, not once offering any reassurance that she would be right with me, talking and taking her time and completely being inconsiderate of MY time. 20min PAST my scheduled appointment and STILL she talked and laughed even inviting another employee into the conversation further prolonging the other person's appointment and completely ignoring me and my time. Unless they know you personally and have built a relationship with you, don't bother coming here, you'll be completely ignored and made to feel completely irrelevant. I don't make it a habit of writing reviews, even when I've left feeling less than satisfied, however when I try so hard to give a business the opportunity to keep me coming back and they continue to give me reasons not to come back, I have to voice my experience. And no, I wasn't a Karen or rude, I simply walked out.
