They took my money and then ignored me. I have had many orders in the past and they were delivered fast. This time it was difficult placing the order and checking on it's delivery date. The first time l checked on where it was their website said it was in Cincinnati. The next time l checked it said NV. I called and got the excuse that the post office was to blame. Even talked to a supervisor Lee and she said they couldn't do anything about it. They made me feel like l was being scammed. I checked and Amazon has the same price of what l have ordered from them in the past. At least Amazon let's me know approximate date. Pure took almost 2 weeks of not knowing for 2 bottles. They offer free shipping on orders over $20 where most sites (even those that charge a subscription) offer free shipping on orders over $49. The shipping is fast and well packaged. This company did not provide good customer service to me. I ordered a Vitamin C powder. When I opened it up, the container was half full. I talked to a company rep and was told that this is the way it comes. what a rip off! Would anyone in their right mind spend $35.00 for a half full product? I don't think so. I purchased 2 bottles of Nutri-West Core Level Health Reserve 120'S last week - from PURE FORMULAS  my wife immediately opened them and took 3 with her lunch as usual - she fairly quickly got indigestion - so I looked and smelled the vitamins: they had a rancid odor and were a dark brown rather than the usual green color. My wife got progressively sicker - to the point of vomiting. I wrote PURE FORMULAS customer service to warn them about this problem, sent them pictures comparing the color they normally are vs the dark brown of this batch & to request a refund - only to receive this unsatisfactory response: "Unfortunately we cannot accept opened items. Please contact Nutri-west for questions about the change of color and smell in there products, being as they do change from batch to batch..." My only recourse was to open a dispute with my AMEX card. There is absolutely no way to know a vitamin product is contaminated or defective without opening the package. Amazon sells these same vitamins - they would instantly refund if you wanted to return a defective product - even if opened. Don't buy these from PURE FORMULAS - I believe they are selling THIRD PARTY GOODS!!! Their their laughably titled  "CUSTOMER HAPPINESS TEAM" are incredibly unhelpful. Has anyone else had problems with PURE FORMULAS Nutri-West Core Level Health Reserve 120'S? Please let me know. I am concerned that they don't seem to care. I contacted them again and the supervisor (Christopher) was rude! He hung up on me several times, told me I was wrong, and lied to me. My chiropractor retired. I have been buying supplements made by Pure Formulas from her. I searched online and found this site and ordered a couple of the supplements I had been using. The third one I couldn't find, so I emailed them, asking about it and am awaiting a response. The order arrived today, much sooner than anticipated, so I'm pleased. Shipping was free. They charged California sales tax, which is not unexpected, and there was a $5 charge that wasn't labeled, so I'm not sure what it was for. I've placed and order with PayPal and I was expecting it to be shipped within 2 business days as it stated,however, just a few days later I've received a phone call from one of their representative asking me to contact her in regards of my order. Contacting her directly was impossible as she was always unavailable to get the phone. After several attempts and two days later I've left a message explaining that we can't get in touch and if she can't proceed with the order then I want a refund. Don't even bother "referring a friend" for your $10 (and their $5). I referred someone with my link but the company offers them a better discount of 15% which is obviously better than them receiving my $5 referral discount because they have to spend at least $50. Since they won't combine coupons, a person will never use your $5 off when they can get 15% off their order. Spoke to customer service rep Ariel who would not agree to give me my $10. TERRIBLE customer service. Neither of us will use them again. UPDATE: I just changed from review from 1 to 4 stars because I finally received my $10. The website for checkout was very clumsy but most importantly I was sent a promotional card and took the time to order. Only when checking out, the card did not work. I called customer service who was completely unhelpful and then determined the card was expired. Why send cards with expiration dates just to annoy potential customers. Beware International Buyers Package is sent with USPS without insurance - my package was sent 03/10/2022, since then it says arrived at Customs Facility in Germany on 08/10/2022. Customs in Germany and German DHL Post confirmed after a month that package can't be found and is not insured so they can't do anything. I've paid 16 Dollars for shipping and over 60 Dollars for the order. PureFormulas Customer Service said they can't do anything here, they can't refund nor send another replacement package - they just said that their policy states that the buyer takes all risk when ordering international. Meaning international buyers don't order here anything, if package is lost by post, your money is gone. I've lost 80 EUR like this. There was no insured delivery option to choose from (I've would have picked that one), it was not clear when ordering that I'm picking a delivery without insurance (tracking was provided, but useless). Also payment with PayPal didn't work (website error, maybe on purpose?). Now I'll report this to my bank and see what they can do here further. No help from PureFormulas, nor USPS, nor German Post. read more

Contacted them again and they never responded. The way they do business is disgusting and unethical. Order from iherb instead. This company has one of the worst customer service departments it has ever been my displeasure to encounter. I will never buy from them again. My order wasn't delivered. I emailed them and did not receive a reply. I called 3 times and was on hold for 5-10 minutes each time. I finally got to talk to someone and he hung up on me because, apparently, he didn't like what I was saying. I emailed a second time and threatened to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. They answered that email almost immediately. For the first few months with PureFormulas I felt they were a great alternative to Amazon for both price and delivery time. Then I had a problem (that's when you really find out what somebody is like). My shopping experience had been, that basic problems with products were easy to handle, not so here (I see multiple reviewers had problems too). I called PureFormula because a bottle of Carlson fish oil tabs (I have used Carlson for 10+ years) smelled like bad fish (the odor was familiar as I was in the wholesale seafood business) and the agent told me to call Carlson's directly (when was the last time you had a problem and the store told you to call the manufacturer?) which I did and the Carlson agent told me their agreements with distributors/resellers is that the distributor/reseller handles those issues and then they settle up with Carlson. I then had to recall PureFormula and tell them the Carlson story. After a song and dance with PureFormula I decided it was easier to just say good-bye and shop elsewhere. I would suggest to anyone contemplating using PureFormula, to think again. As I mentioned earlier, the best time to learn about the character of a person or company, is when there is a problem. This company lost me as a customer forever and thats too bad taking it I order hundreds of dollars worth of supplements every 2-3 weeks. They scam people with their promotions. I took advantage of their refer a friend promo and purchased over $50, refered a friend and he also completed an order. I was sent an email with stating that I earned $10 but no info or link as to how to apply it. I logged into my account and it stated I have earned $10 with again, no way to apply it. I called customer service who gives you the runaround about how you should have received an email with a link. I wrote email with no reply. I left messages on their contact us form..no replies. They finally after about 4 emails replied with another robotic response trying to find a loophole to not extend the $10. At that time, their customer service was far from good with very little to no lack of care. They did not only lose me as a customer, but all my friends and family as well. read more

I'm sorry for having to lower my rating for PureFormulas, but I must. Here's why: In the past, I've found PureFormulas to be an excellent company to do business with. Online ordering is simple and straightforward, shipments are confirmed, and deliveries were always prompt. When I placed my last order, though, I never received confirmation that the items had been shipped. In fact, my online account indicated the order status as: awaiting pickup by the shipper. I didn't receive the items after a couple of weeks, so I finally contacted customer service. Your representative, C.D.S., stated that PureFormulas' website had experienced some problems uploading and updating my order status. He apologized, gave me the tracking number (a few weeks too late), and said the company had shipped the items "correctly" (his word). He also informed me he updated the order status to "Delivered" (a few weeks too late). It's still unclear what happened to the delivery. However, one thing is clear: PureFormulas messed up by not updating my online account regarding the status of my order. Had I known the date that the items had been shipped, I would have had an idea when to expect the delivery. But because of PureFormulas' error, I waited and waited and waited, hoping that the items would arrive some day. But they never did. I replied to customer service that if the items had been delivered, they might have been stolen by a porch pirate, but I really don't know. I thought customer service would have at least gotten back to me with an expression of concern. But such was not the case. If I were the business owner (and the customer was in good standing), I would first reach out to him/her and express my concern. I would also, very possibly, issue a gift certificate or discount for a future purchase -- as a goodwill gesture, even if my company had done everything correctly, per standard operating practice -- in hopes of cultivating customer loyalty. I've now found a means to circumvent porch pirates (if that was indeed the reason I hadn't received my last order). But I've decided to use a different online vendor from whom to purchase supplements. The new vendor might or might not meet my expectations for customer satisfaction, but it's worth a shot. read more

I love this company's use of high quality materials and like their formulations but they are completely, totally, utterly unreliable and not trustworthy. They are constantly running out of their most popular formulations without notice, trying to force substitutions that do not accomplish the same goals for patients or providers. I've used Pure Formulas for a little over 3 years. For the first 18 months I received my products at a good price and had no problem with the automated delivery. After the initial period, however, the automated delivery just stopped. It showed up on my account, but the products never shipped. I called to inquire and was assured the products were shipping the next day. But they ever did. My card on file was also not charged. Last week (about a year and a half after auto delivery vanished) I logged back into the account and cancelled the auto ship. The account still read my next shipment was scheduled for over a year ago. When I cancelled the autoship, I made a new purchase (just a one-time purchase). Today after 7 days and the order not being shipped (it was an estimated delivery of 5-7 days) I called to inquire. After a long wait for a person at customer service I was told that they could not order an expedited replacement until a total of 7 business days had passed. Since I ordered on a Friday and inquired on a Friday, they could not take action until the following Wednesday (11 days after ordering). If I did not receive the unshipped order by Wednesday I was welcome to call back for a replacement. And no, there was no way to automate shipping the order, but the customer service rep offered to put a sticky note on her computer to check the account and if I had not received the unshipped order in 2 additional business days (from Friday today to Wednesday next week) she would call me. So no, I won't be placing any more orders with Pure Formulas. Too many problems with their supply chain/shipping and order process. Much easier to order elsewhere. read more

I had not ordered from Pure Formulas in years due to bad customer service experience and slow shipping. However, Vitacost was out of my protein powder, so I placed an order with PF. After two weeks, my order showed as not even having shipped yet. I sent an email asking about the order status and when it would ship. They offered to cancel the order - which I should have done. However, I asked again - when will it ship? Afterall, I wanted the product. No response to that second email. A week later, still hadn't shipped so I ordered elsewhere. Then I went to cancel the order and it said "delivered" which clearly it hadn't been delivered. I clicked on "problem with order" and put in my cell phone number for a call. Five days later - no call. I saw that I had been charged for the order. I found an 800 number and called it. I tried to explain the situation, but the operator kept interrupting me. She then put me on hold for five minutes! Finally she said they would refund my money and cancel my order. She still couldn't tell me whether or not it ever shipped. I hope I get the refund. I was totally bummed that after years of loyalty and excellent ratings from us, that I had a serious problem with and order from pure formulas. They simply ignored my calls and refused to read my emails when I tried to rectify the situation, and get the correct order. When I finally got ahold of the manager, he completely refused to listen and just offered to send me a return label. Now I not only need to go through the hassle of the return, but I now need to find another source for the 8 months of vitamins that I would have gotten from them during their sale. I wish that I had read these other reviews before I ordered from them. I have ordered supplements for many, many years and I have never written a negative review til today. I ordered 3 different items, but on the third item I asked the cust. rep. if they had a liquid in it and she said there was one. Never mentioned that it was a homeopathic instead of an actual extract. I took a few drops when it arrived and something made me use a magnifying glass and look at the back of the bottle and saw it was a homeopathic. I called and asked if I could exchange for the non-homeopathic and I would pay the difference. Manager said no it had been opened. I mentioned that I was a 1st time customer and would order again or even refer a few friends but they would not compromise. So for $22 they just lost a customer(s). read more
