Awful! I would rather buy off Amazon. Don't purchase here! Customer service is horrible.

Don't even bother "referring a friend" for your $10 (and their $5). I referred someone with my link but the company offers them a better discount of 15% which is obviously better than them receiving my $5 referral discount because they have to spend at least $50. Since they won't combine coupons, a person will never use your $5 off when they can get 15% off their order. Spoke to customer service rep Ariel who would not agree to give me my $10. TERRIBLE customer service. Neither of us will use them again. UPDATE: I just changed from review from 1 to 4 stars because I finally received my $10. I like the company, except dealing with customer service rep Ariel. The vitamins arrived quickly and their prices are good. read more

Pure formulas never disappoints especially when I wait until the last second to order. Always quick delivery!!

Pure formulas is very worst company. They are rude very unprofessional when you complain about the vitamins they became upset and hang up the phone. Please becareful. I never recommended my friends or family. read more

The website for checkout was very clumsy but most importantly I was sent a promotional card and took the time to order. Only when checking out, the card did not work. I called customer service who was completely unhelpful and then determined the card was expired. Why send cards with expiration dates just to annoy potential customers. I promptly took my order to Vitamin Shoppe and got a better deal. read more

didn't get my complete order had to pay for shipping to get items not included. they make it harder than it should be to place a order.

This company has one of the worst customer service departments it has ever been my displeasure to encounter. I will never buy from them again. My order wasn't delivered. I emailed them and did not receive a reply. I called 3 times and was on hold for 5-10 minutes each time. I finally got to talk to someone and he hung up on me because, apparently, he didn't like what I was saying. I emailed a second time and threatened to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. They answered that email almost immediately. Why does a customer have to threaten to complain to the BBB before receiving a reply? I'm still waiting for my order. read more

Placed an order and my bank statement showed I was charged twice. I contacted them and they said that they didn't even though they clearly did as bank statements don't lie. Contacted them again and they never responded. The way they do business is disgusting and unethical. Order from iherb instead. They have lots of great supplements and I've never had any issues ordering from them. read more

***Note the number of 1 Star ratings**** I switched to PureFormulas from Amazon because I had philosophical differences with their leadership (products and service were great). For the first few months with PureFormulas I felt they were a great alternative to Amazon for both price and delivery time. Then I had a problem (that's when you really find out what somebody is like). My shopping experience had been, that basic problems with products were easy to handle, not so here (I see multiple reviewers had problems too). I called PureFormula because a bottle of Carlson fish oil tabs (I have used Carlson for 10+ years) smelled like bad fish (the odor was familiar as I was in the wholesale seafood business) and the agent told me to call Carlson's directly (when was the last time you had a problem and the store told you to call the manufacturer?) which I did and the Carlson agent told me their agreements with distributors/resellers is that the distributor/reseller handles those issues and then they settle up with Carlson. I then had to recall PureFormula and tell them the Carlson story. After a song and dance with PureFormula I decided it was easier to just say good-bye and shop elsewhere. I would suggest to anyone contemplating using PureFormula, to think again. As I mentioned earlier, the best time to learn about the character of a person or company, is when there is a problem. Leaders rise, the rest don't. read more

Beware International Buyers Package is sent with USPS without insurance - my package was sent 03/10/2022, since then it says arrived at Customs Facility in Germany on 08/10/2022. Customs in Germany and German DHL Post confirmed after a month that package can't be found and is not insured so they can't do anything. I've paid 16 Dollars for shipping and over 60 Dollars for the order. PureFormulas Customer Service said they can't do anything here, they can't refund nor send another replacement package - they just said that their policy states that the buyer takes all risk when ordering international. Meaning international buyers don't order here anything, if package is lost by post, your money is gone. I've lost 80 EUR like this. There was no insured delivery option to choose from (I've would have picked that one), it was not clear when ordering that I'm picking a delivery without insurance (tracking was provided, but useless). Also payment with PayPal didn't work (website error, maybe on purpose?). Now I'll report this to my bank and see what they can do here further. No help from PureFormulas, nor USPS, nor German Post. read more

This company lost me as a customer forever and thats too bad taking it I order hundreds of dollars worth of supplements every 2-3 weeks. They scam people with their promotions. I took advantage of their refer a friend promo and purchased over $50, refered a friend and he also completed an order. I was sent an email with stating that I earned $10 but no info or link as to how to apply it. I logged into my account and it stated I have earned $10 with again, no way to apply it. I called customer service who gives you the runaround about how you should have received an email with a link. I wrote email with no reply. I left messages on their contact us form..no replies. They finally after about 4 emails replied with another robotic response trying to find a loophole to not extend the $10. At that time, their customer service was far from good with very little to no lack of care. They did not only lose me as a customer, but all my friends and family as well. read more

I'm sorry for having to lower my rating for PureFormulas, but I must. Here's why: In the past, I've found PureFormulas to be an excellent company to do business with. Online ordering is simple and straightforward, shipments are confirmed, and deliveries were always prompt. When I placed my last order, though, I never received confirmation that the items had been shipped. In fact, my online account indicated the order status as: awaiting pickup by the shipper. I didn't receive the items after a couple of weeks, so I finally contacted customer service. Your representative, C.D.S., stated that PureFormulas' website had experienced some problems uploading and updating my order status. He apologized, gave me the tracking number (a few weeks too late), and said the company had shipped the items "correctly" (his word). He also informed me he updated the order status to "Delivered" (a few weeks too late). It's still unclear what happened to the delivery. However, one thing is clear: PureFormulas messed up by not updating my online account regarding the status of my order. Had I known the date that the items had been shipped, I would have had an idea when to expect the delivery. But because of PureFormulas' error, I waited and waited and waited, hoping that the items would arrive some day. But they never did. I replied to customer service that if the items had been delivered, they might have been stolen by a porch pirate, but I really don't know. I thought customer service would have at least gotten back to me with an expression of concern. But such was not the case. If I were the business owner (and the customer was in good standing), I would first reach out to him/her and express my concern. I would also, very possibly, issue a gift certificate or discount for a future purchase -- as a goodwill gesture, even if my company had done everything correctly, per standard operating practice -- in hopes of cultivating customer loyalty. I've now found a means to circumvent porch pirates (if that was indeed the reason I hadn't received my last order). But I've decided to use a different online vendor from whom to purchase supplements. The new vendor might or might not meet my expectations for customer satisfaction, but it's worth a shot. read more

Do not order from this company! I ordered 2 items. When I received them they were both wrong. I had to call 3X for a return shipping label. 2 weeks after my shipment was confirmed delivered, I had not heard from them. I again had to call numerous times before finally receiving a CC refund. read more

I love this company's use of high quality materials and like their formulations but they are completely, totally, utterly unreliable and not trustworthy. They are constantly running out of their most popular formulations without notice, trying to force substitutions that do not accomplish the same goals for patients or providers. Very, very unreliable and will make you look bad to your patients if you are a practitioner and will have you over and undermethylating as a patient or direct use. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING A MORE RELIABLE PROVIDER. THEIR REPUTATION IS TERRIBLE FOR RELIABILITY, DEPENDABILITY OR CONSISTENCY. read more

I've used Pure Formulas for a little over 3 years. For the first 18 months I received my products at a good price and had no problem with the automated delivery. After the initial period, however, the automated delivery just stopped. It showed up on my account, but the products never shipped. I called to inquire and was assured the products were shipping the next day. But they ever did. My card on file was also not charged. Last week (about a year and a half after auto delivery vanished) I logged back into the account and cancelled the auto ship. The account still read my next shipment was scheduled for over a year ago. When I cancelled the autoship, I made a new purchase (just a one-time purchase). Today after 7 days and the order not being shipped (it was an estimated delivery of 5-7 days) I called to inquire. After a long wait for a person at customer service I was told that they could not order an expedited replacement until a total of 7 business days had passed. Since I ordered on a Friday and inquired on a Friday, they could not take action until the following Wednesday (11 days after ordering). If I did not receive the unshipped order by Wednesday I was welcome to call back for a replacement. And no, there was no way to automate shipping the order, but the customer service rep offered to put a sticky note on her computer to check the account and if I had not received the unshipped order in 2 additional business days (from Friday today to Wednesday next week) she would call me. So no, I won't be placing any more orders with Pure Formulas. Too many problems with their supply chain/shipping and order process. Much easier to order elsewhere. read more

I like Pure Formulas OK and buy some stuff from them. There are a couple items I wish they would carry but they don't. I had not ordered from Pure Formulas in years due to bad customer service experience and slow shipping. However, Vitacost was out of my protein powder, so I placed an order with PF. After two weeks, my order showed as not even having shipped yet. I sent an email asking about the order status and when it would ship. They offered to cancel the order - which I should have done. However, I asked again - when will it ship? Afterall, I wanted the product. No response to that second email. A week later, still hadn't shipped so I ordered elsewhere. Then I went to cancel the order and it said "delivered" which clearly it hadn't been delivered. I clicked on "problem with order" and put in my cell phone number for a call. Five days later - no call. I saw that I had been charged for the order. I found an 800 number and called it. I tried to explain the situation, but the operator kept interrupting me. She then put me on hold for five minutes! Finally she said they would refund my money and cancel my order. She still couldn't tell me whether or not it ever shipped. I hope I get the refund. I will never order from them again. read more

BEWARE OF SHOPPING HERE!! PURE FORMULAS IS A GREAT PLACE TO SHOP AS LONG AS YOU DONT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH YOUR ORDER!! I was totally bummed that after years of loyalty and excellent ratings from us, that I had a serious problem with and order from pure formulas. They simply ignored my calls and refused to read my emails when I tried to rectify the situation, and get the correct order. When I finally got ahold of the manager, he completely refused to listen and just offered to send me a return label. Now I not only need to go through the hassle of the return, but I now need to find another source for the 8 months of vitamins that I would have gotten from them during their sale. I will be sharing this information in detail with anyone who will listen. Tami Bundrock read more

After hundred of dollars in purchases- They just lost me as a customer. Thorne Research (a company that makes high quality supplements) and their own representatives told me their nutritionist could help me with questions about supplements. I sent an email to the address they gave me- it was ignored. I called and Angelique said the nutritionists had gone for the day. So I sent another one- 15 min later the "nutritionist"- or someone- opened the email I sent- but they were supposedly not there. Today I got an email from Angelique that the nutritionist told her to tell me I should contact my doctor. Wow really? What kind of "nutritionist" can't answer basic questions? Other sites have nutritionists that actually help (Needs.com for one) And their wait time when I call is ridiculous- not less than 15 min- every time. read more

I wish that I had read these other reviews before I ordered from them. I have ordered supplements for many, many years and I have never written a negative review til today. I ordered 3 different items, but on the third item I asked the cust. rep. if they had a liquid in it and she said there was one. Never mentioned that it was a homeopathic instead of an actual extract. I took a few drops when it arrived and something made me use a magnifying glass and look at the back of the bottle and saw it was a homeopathic. I called and asked if I could exchange for the non-homeopathic and I would pay the difference. Manager said no it had been opened. I mentioned that I was a 1st time customer and would order again or even refer a few friends but they would not compromise. So for $22 they just lost a customer(s). read more

Liars. First time ordering from this company. Ordered 9 days ago, never received tracking for shipping, have spent over three hours on hold (not exaggerating), have sent 2 emails inquiring of the status of my order. When I finally got a hold of somebody on day 9 they said the package shipped and got sent back because my address was confusing to USPS. I get packages every day so that's not the case. That is a lie! And she didn't have any answers for me as to why I had received no tracking update information at all. I believe they did not have the product in stock as it is sold out everywhere due to the coronavirus postponing like other to ship on April 6th when the manufacturer of the product I ordered will be able to restock their suppliers. (Had to call the manufacturer for accurate details.) Hate to write a bad review when the world is suffering, but that was a terrible experience that indicates not one slip-up but fundamental errors within the company. Buyer beware! read more

My order arrived incomplete (over $300 of product incomplete,) but they emailed me the "your order has been delivered" email, which did not say anything about the missing items. I was charged for the full order. Their web site "talk to a representative" service isn't working. I was on hold for 40 minutes to speak with a customer service person on the phone, who was weirdly un-customer service like- as if I was bothering him or being rude with my explanation about what happened. He said the product was sold out, with no explanation as to why I was charged for the full order or why the company didn't notify me, or why the company sent me an email saying the order was complete and delivered.... He said the refund would appear in an hour and a half. Five hours later, no refund so I went to PayPal (how I paid for the order) and used the process there to report the missing products. The refund did come. I dont appreciate how this company handled something as normal as an out of stock item. It happens, but it needs to be handled appropriately, fairly, professional, etc. Never again. read more

I used to do a lot of business with Pure Formulas. Not anymore. I recently made a purchase in which the company sent me an extra bottle of a supplement I ordered. According to the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) I am under no legal obligation to return the item or let the company know I received an extra, but I did anyway so they could update their stock. I was expecting to be told, 'thank you for letting us know and please keep the item!' I guess I'm used to Amazon and Nordstrom customer care. But that was not the case. I was told I needed to return the item to them or be charged for it minus 10%... excuse me?! You cannot legally charge my credit card without my permission and I'm under no obligation to send the item back to you! I returned the item anyway which took several days to do and was a pain. I called customer service a week or so later and explained again the situation and that I was unhappy with their 'customer care.' The only thing they offered me was 300 rewards points which was equivalent to $3.00. No thanks. I will not be doing business with them anymore. Hands down the worst customer service I have experience in a long time. read more

Do not buy from this company. They will not send you the correct item, then argue with you instead of taking care of the problem.

HSA and FSA cards are not accepted at all. Should've certainly paid more attention to the order I placed. I specifically unchecked the $25.99 shipping fee for frankly its absurd that fee for a $39.99 product, anyways my order came through with the fee. I was a first time customer at which time I ordered three products totaling just over $72. A couple of days later I then received an email saying a partial shipment was on its way. The partial order did arrive promptly total just over $19 of my entire charge of $72 to my Amex. After a couple of weeks I hadn't received the majority of my order and attempted to call their "friendly" customer service and waited for over 20 minutes and no one picked so I hung up and frankly forgot to follow-up again. Then last week I received my Amex bill and noticed the entire charge, I logged into the sellers website noticed they cancelled the remaining order at the beginning of October yet there was no corresponding credit. It wasn't until I contested the charge and Amex reached out to the seller that I then was issued my $52 refund. Please buyer beware check you credit cards when it comes to this company god only knows how many people this happens to without the buyer even knowing it. Although I use the yelp website to find vendors with great success I signed up for an account just to write this review. Should yelp have issues with the accuracy of this review I will be more than happy to scan all my correspondence with Amex validating this unfortunate review and rating. read more

Pure Formulas is awesome and they are definitely my go-to site for all of my thyroid supplements and vitamin purchases. I order online and in less than 48 hours I already receive my purchase delivered to my mailbos. I mistakenly ordered the wrong pills in one order (my fault) and I let them know and they emailed me a shipping label to send the item back at no cost to me, no hassle and immediately reimbursed me my credit once they received the returned product.
