We walked up and down the aisles browsing their inventory. We didn't buy anything, but our friends got some cardamom tea, and a few spices, plus a couple curries to try. I love exploring another culture's stores like this, as you get an idea of what they would buy. And it gave me a few ideas of some future meals to cook at home. We entered because I wanted to take a look at the loose tea selection. Specifically, I was looking for a loose tea to add to my evening regimen. We were greeted and assisted by the owner, Joanne. She was both lovely and extremely knowledgeable. One of the options contains calm in the title is a blend of citrus leaves. The other is a blend of chamomile and flowers. I don't particularly gravitate toward floral teas, but it smelled the best of the two so I decided to give it a whirl. I purchased a 3 oz bag for $14 and she informed me the tea is highly rebrewable. In fact, she stated I could probably get 3 cups out of each serving. Love this for me! The shop is lovely with a wide assortment of both gifts and teas. Additionally, they offer tea classes the middle of each month. The next Tea 101 is on Friday, 2/21/25 @ 7PM. One must register and prepay in advance. The fee is $12 and it includes a six tea assortment tea tasting with education. Time to to brew my first cup!

I know a few people who buy it often and rave about it, so this was surprising. I definitely will try it again at some point. Looking forward to trying the eggplant parmesan next time.

I had the pleasure of visiting Swank farms for an event to appreciate the process of farm to table…read moreeating with Slow Foods organization and let me tell you how pleasantly surprised I was by the whole evening. The venue was so pretty, it surpassed any of my expectations when I signed up for a farm to table dinner. The barn was beautifully decorated and organized, hosting 250 guests yet never felt packed. The stage area sits high so any seat is a good seat with a view of performers or speakers. Upon arrival we were greeted by the event organizer and by Swank's farm owner who told us a bit about the farm and their message about locally grown and sourced food. He also informed us about how they offer monthly produce bags, "Swank Sacks" delivered to Whole Foods Market who they partnered up with, where you can pick up your produce bag with items all grown at Swank farm, providing you a taste of some of the seasons flesh's and organic produce. The evening flew by while listening to the delightful sounds of live jazz and enjoying our carefully and deliciously prepared 5 course meal by all the amazing guest chefs that night. It was a fantastic experience and a pleasant way of learning to enjoy slow food as opposed to fast food.

Went to the farmers market at Swank for the first time today. When you pull in it's a true authentic working farm. Down a hay covered path you are greeted to the vendors under the barn covering. Everyone so welcoming and friendly and took the time to explain what products they had from plants, soaps, bread, produce to homemade pet treats. They also had samples available at most booths. Walking around you can see some farm life. The vibe was very chill and very friendly. Love supporting local, if you do too check this place out
