Really 4.8 stars I've been here a couple times over the years but for the last couple of months I've been OBSESSED! if you love, authentic yet fresh take on Mexican food this is the place. I recommend tacos de pescado, taquitos de pollo (with extra creamy verde on the side ), papas fritas, and burrito ahogado - chicken. The atmosphere is always clean. The service is great. The ONLY room for improvement for me is that when you're picking up orders that you've already paid for: I wish they had it ready for you at the front instead of having to walk all the way into the restaurant and bother the busy bartender to get food you've already paid for. Plus when I order food to-go, it's usually because I don't want to be bothered with crowds/noises. So there's plenty of times I haven't ordered from them for that simple reason. Which I'm sure my wallet is thankful for. But for most people, this may not be a problem.

LOVED the queso! Definitely the highlight. Birria tacos were yummy, and our service was impeccable. We were in and out in 40 minutes!

Always good food for Mexican. The drinks are honestly why I come tho. The best margaritas in town. Service is always pleasant

I've eaten here a few times now and overall, I like it a lot. The food is great and the margaritas are great and the customer service has been great in our experience so far. The only issue I've had is that twice when we've eaten food from here, once when we had it delivered and once when we ate in the restaurant, our food was far too salty. The most recent time we ate here our whole table of four all had very overly salted food. I definitely appreciate when things are seasoned well, but too much salt can ruin it and unfortunately, that was our experience. We still had a good time and we will definitely be back, I'm just hoping this doesn't end up being a consistent issue with the salt because it's happened twice now.

All I have to say is that this place is absolutely amazing! They have some very interesting twists on certain dishes! The atmosphere when you walk in is very welcoming and bright! The ac was blasting so it was a bit chilly but after coming in from the hot sun it was refreshing. Food: I ordered the steak and chorizo torta. It had bottomed bread, lettuce, ham, steak and chorizo, cheese pickles, bell peppers and the top bun with an aïoli sauce! It as so freaking good!! I was ful after the first half! Took the rest Togo! Wait staff: Lilly was absolutely amazing she was super sweet and answered all questions that we had with a huge smile!! There was not a long wait time, we got there had water brought out to us. Chips and salsa, and Lilly came out to take our orders, we asked questions she answered and it was less an 10 minutes and we had our food! They also have paper straws and it's not like the cardboard ones that you think of they are sturdy and have 0 taste and best of all they are biodegradable!! I will absolutely 100% be coming here again!!

We've eaten here twice and had great experiences both times. Service and seating was quick and efficient. Lots of areas to sit both inside and out. Multiple patio areas. Clean airy feeling. Our service was really good. Both servers very knowledgeable about the menu and specifics of each food and drink option. Food was fresh and came out hot each time. The carne a la parilla was so good. The jalapeño mac and cheese was like homemade SO GOOD We've had the carne asada tacos both times- really good Our server Brian was wonderful. Thank you!

I had a ceviche appetizer and jalapeño margarita. Everything was really good. And my bartender/waitress was really fun to talk to. She suggested my dish so that I could try something new. Really enjoyed myself.

The food and service are fantastic. It's a little pricey for the amount you get in my opinion but I do encourage you to give it a try. I highly recommend the chips and salsa that you do have to order as an appetizer.

OMG!!! I came in wanting tacos and that's exactly what I got!!! The bartender suggested the Puerco al Pastor Tacos.... If you like hot and spicy this is for you! I love it!!! The setting and seating is casual and it's not too loud. These are the best tacos in Columbus!!! Will revisit this location every chance I get!!! I think I'm going back tonight.

This place was pretty good. It was really clean and has a cool interior. Social distancing dining was decent, I still felt a little close to another party but it was fine. I have a gluten allergy. The menu denotes gluten free options which is nice. I ordered the queso fundido and shrimp tacos and told my server I was gf - she made sure I'd get corn tortillas with the queso. The tacos came out with fried, breaded shrimp and flour tortillas thankfully I knew it was NOT gf and sent it back. By the time my fiancé had finished his burrito, my tacos came out and looked pretty sad. Each taco had only 3 tiny shrimp and a sprinkle of pico de Gallo and onions. Thankfully they took my tacos off our bill for the mistake. The corn tortillas were awful: super hard, rubbery and impossible to eat. They brought us chips instead (I've never eaten queso with a tortilla?) which were good and fried in a dedicated gf fryer. The queso fundido with chorizó was their saving grace - not like a normal goopy queso (which I also love) but a bunch of cheese browned in the broiler. We loved it. My fiancé liked his burrito but thought it was weird when he got a can when he ordered a soda. Maybe a covid thing? This place definitely needs some GF training but I'd go back for the queso.

Krystal was the best she gave my parents in town the best service. Thank you for being so kind to us and willing to assist us with our drinks, make recommendations and get us exactly what we wanted. The experience overall was excellent. Thanks again Krystal.

The entrance to this unassuming spot feels almost deliberately off-putting at first--plain facade,…read morea sign directing you to a side door that leads straight through an attached market. It's a clever (or perhaps just pragmatic) setup; that market itself is a gem, stocked with an impressive array of authentic Spanish and Mexican goods. We'll definitely return for provisions alone. Inside the dining room, the space is spotless if somewhat dated--simple, no-frills decor that prioritizes function over flair. Our server was cheerful and energetic, a bright presence, though service proved inconsistent; she largely vanished after taking our order, leaving us to wait an inexplicable 30-plus minutes for food despite only two other tables occupied. When plates finally arrived, the portions were strikingly generous, almost comically so for the price point. We began with the complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa carried decent freshness and a mild kick, but it wanted for seasoning--more salt, a bolder hit of garlic and cumin would have elevated it from passable to memorable. No refills appeared, which felt stingy given the "free" promise. The horchata, however, shone: creamy, deeply flavored with cinnamon and vanilla notes, refreshingly cool and well-balanced--one of the better versions I've encountered recently. The carnitas dinner plate delivered on volume: a mountain of moist, crisped pork that had all the textural appeal one hopes for--tender interior, satisfying crunch on the edges--yet it arrived curiously underseasoned, lacking the salty, savory depth that should define the dish. Homemade refried beans were a highlight: smooth, flavorful, clearly made in-house with real care. The Mexican rice held good seasoning too, though it verged on dry. Steak fajitas followed the same pattern--giant heaps tender strips of beef and soft, well-cooked vegetables in generous heaps, but again, flavor felt muted, as if the seasoning hand had been unusually light. It's puzzling: everything executed competently, meats tender, produce fresh, yet the palate kept searching for that missing punch of spice, acid, or salt. No where else in COLGA gives this much steak, so very grateful. The shrimp cocktail appetizer (small portion) justified its price through quality ingredients--clean, plump shrimp in a classic tomato-based sauce--but it was straightforward, nothing transcendent. The queso fundido with chorizo fared far better: authentic, house-made chorizo with real spice and depth, melded into creamy, stretchy queso that felt genuinely homemade and deeply satisfying. Desserts redeemed much of the meal. The tres leches cake was textbook--moist without being soggy, richly soaked in the three milks, properly sweet and authentic in texture. The chocoflan, though, was the standout: flawless layering, silky flan with just the right caramel note, dense chocolate cake beneath, executed with evident skill and genuine flavor. In the end, this place offers undeniable value through abundance and some authentic touches (those beans, the queso, the desserts), alongside a market worth the trip alone. But the persistent lack of seasoning across the savory dishes left the experience feeling curiously flat. It's hard to muster enthusiasm for a return meal when so much potential goes unseasoned. Still, another visit to explore different menu items isn't out of the question--perhaps the kitchen's bolder preparations will hit the mark. For now, it's a solid neighborhood option for quantity and certain homemade elements, but one that needs more confidence behind the seasoning to truly impress.
