Ok I have NOT been to this location or at this business in like six years. They use to be over in the wedge on South. This place from what I can ascertain its appointment only. You do everything online including cancellation and etc. Don't both dm'ing them on social media to cancel it's ONLINE ONLY. You go online pick a date and see what dates are available and of course what services you want. You will put in your credit/debit card and they will take a deposit and the rest is paid after the service. When they check you out the remainder will be paid. They don't do cash payments. You are welcome to tip in cash but make sure you have exact change. I came here as the person I normally see I double booked myself and she had no appointments available anytime this month (June 2024) so I decided to try this place again. If you want a place to roll into I can recommend a place but most spots now want an appointment. They are on the first floor as I think other businesses are here as well. The inside is light and bright, light woods and comfortable seating. I was greeted and asked to wash my hands.. ok I did not get that as I was here for a pedicure.. so... Also I was offered a drink, water, coffee, wine a nice touch. Now the set up for the pedicure was nice but I wished I could have moved back the chair, I had a pillow behind me but I got rid of it but I was comfortable but it was just wonky. I'm tall and usually they will adjust how you sit. This is minor but if you're tall ask if the chair can be adjusted. My nail tech Maddy Elizabeth was lovely, friendly and efficient. I picked out a color they have a bunch and if you want a gel type it's an additional cost. I got a more souped up pedicure with warm stones and a mask. The execution of the pedicure was great but the additional stuff did not seem too luxurious. The clay mask she almost forgot about than she put on warm towels and use also used warm stones. This was a nice touch but maybe I expected a bit more for $75.00. Oh well that's just me... When you are done you go into the back room and you dry your feet/hands for a bit. My feet I had a fan to dry my feet, not a big deal but it was odd... I think most are use to a light source or someone uses a quick dry. I think since they are all about 7 to 11 free nail items. While I was waiting I was offered a glass of rose if I wanted. The check out was easy and they did ask if I wanted another appointment. I said no but thank you. I'll keep them in mind when I can't get in with my regular person. From what I understand they are opening another location in Monroe in Brighton. This location from what I was told will get a refresh. All in all it was a lovely experience and a great pedicure. They share a parking lot and they ha e specific spaces for the business a plus. 4.5 out of 5 read more

Not only bad, but as bad as it gets. These photos are not weeks (or even days) after the appointment, they're from less than an hour later. Cracks, peeling, bubbles, chips, blood. When I asked for a refund (on the same day as service) my requests were ignored until several days later, and then denied. "We need to pay our employees a living wage." By screwing your customers? Not to mention the damage done to my cuticles, which were left peeling and bleeding. Apparently, this was somehow my fault, per the response I received from the salon. I don't know if every manicurist there is terrible or not (this was my first and last visit), but to call what I received a 'professional manicure' is an insult to actual professional manicurists. Every experience I've had at pure sole nails has been SO positive and such a great time. Super relaxing, really kind employees.

Pure Sole is everything that any girl would really need in a nail salon. It is clean. The gel manicures are everything wonderful and the owner, Jess, is the best. My sister and I ventured here for an all out amazing girls day and got gel manicures and gel pedicures. We were so excited and really enjoyed our time. We had our nails done by both Jess and Chelsea. I had no idea nail polish wasn't vegan, but I definitely knew it was toxic. I just kind of ignored that fact. I was SO excited when a friend brought me here for a manicure - not only is the polish eco friendly and free of the most common toxins, it's also not tested on animals. (Why do they still need to test polish on animals anyway? Hasn't it been around long enough for us to know what's hazardous? But I digress.) You definitely pay a bit more for the polish quality, but it's lasted me four days perfectly on my left hand. I chipped the right scrubbing my shower. This place is simply adorable! I love the succulents and succulent wall art. I love amenities and there are amenities everywhere! Candles, pillows, plush chairs, blankets, slippers with donuts on them, wine, hot cocoa, and more! There's a coat rack and a place to leave your winter boots. I got the signature mani/pedi before leaving for a vacation to Florida. Note that Jessica, the lovely owner, only carries eco-friendly nail polishes so you will not find any OPI, if that is a dealbreaker for you. It wasn't for me! I chose a light pink color for my manicure and Essie's Angora Cardi (a longtime personal favorite of mine) for my pedicure. After I picked out my colors, I was offered a choice between coffee, tea, hot cocoa, champagne, and wine! I opted for bubbly and she brought it back in a wine glass with a cute straw. You will immediately feel at home here and not want to leave. I got my pedicure first so that those could dry while she worked on my hands. I was offered a choice between coffee and eucalyptus scrubs. I chose coffee for my feet and eucalyptus for my hands, and I love them both! The basin for my feet had rose petals in it, and the chair was not a massage chair but a regular comfy (and super cute) accent chair. Before we began the manicure she helped me put on my winter gear so there was no chance of ruining the manicure before I left. Jessica offered $10 off because I waited a little bit while she was with the customer before me, but I had been drinking champagne during this time and wasn't in a hurry at all so it was not a major inconvenience by any means! Overall this was a wonderful self-care experience and I will definitely be returning. read more

This place is wonderful! Went today for the second time.. The first time was a couple of weeks ago. I went with my 8 year old daughter for mani pedis. I did a gel manicure. They made us feel so welcomed and we were both thrilled with our nails. Aerielle was very meticulous and Chelsea did a great job with my daughter. The manicure and pedicure there is a significant step above your average nail place. Yet the pricing is very reasonable. Oh, and my nails have held up for a full 2 weeks, feet still look great. Today I went alone as a pre-birthday treat. Again, delightful experience. Aerielle again did not disappoint! Come check this place out!! read more

It pains me to write this because I really love this salon, and I think they do great nails, but I think they need to revisit some of their customer service policies. A couple weeks ago I made an appointment but accidentally wrote the time down wrong in my calendar. I had the appointment written down for noon, but it was actually for 11. Of course they sent a confirmation email, but that went to the wrong gmail folder, so I didn't see it. Therefore I missed my appointment, and I didn't realize until they called at 11:20ish. I apologized profusely and explained that it was simple human error. I also immediately tried to rectify the situation by offering to book another appointment that very day, since the person I was scheduled with had other availability. Instead I was told they had to charge me the full amount for my missed appointment, but I could schedule a new appointment within a week, and they would offer me 1/2 off the same service. The woman literally had no interest in hearing my explanation or working with me, then informed me that she would have the owner call later. When I did speak to the owner (manager?) he told me there was no way they could make an exception to their policy because they need to "pay their employees a living wage." Look I completely understand (and respect!) that - I also own a business - but I was offering to make another appointment THAT VERY DAY with the same employee. Then he attempted to badger me into making a second appointment with the 50% reduction. Like this was doing me a favor. Um, what?! This actually sounds like a scam to make extra money! I've never experienced anything like this, and they are behaving as if their services are so in demand people are waiting months for an appointment. Please. I'm by no means a regular, and I'm not expecting 'special treatment,' but I've booked several times in one year and have recommended numerous others, plus I tip generously each time, so I feel they could at least extend a little empathy for an accidental scheduling mishap. Am I in the wrong? I also understand they need to protect their business, and that this was my mistake, but after their hardline approach they've lost me as a customer. I also had a pedicure scheduled for my husband this week, but I cancelled that as well. Super disappointed as no other salon in Rochester offers non-toxic nails. Updating my review after going here last week during the pandemic. This place couldn't have done it better. I specifically chose them for a manicure and pedicure over other salons knowing they wouldn't skimp on cleanliness and safety. I felt extremely comfortable and safe here for my services. They're taking temps, wearing masks and shields, (masks only for customers), and have Plexiglass up between stations. Only two techs working as well so very small amounts of individuals in at a time. And cleaning between each visit. Highly recommend. And tip well!! read more

I went for a gel mani and regular pedi before leaving for vacation to Puerto Rico. The total experience took about 2 hours and I enjoyed every bit of it. The shop is so lovely and unique in several ways. First, it's run and operated by Jessica who is currently the only employee so you have the shop to yourself during your appointment. It was nice and relaxing without being distracted by the hustle and bustle of a busy shop. The shop is beautifully decorated and so cozy. You walk in and are welcomed by slippers and a coat rack to remove jackets. Next, you can get cozy in the pedicure chair and place your feet into a warm basin. Time for a beverage- tea, coffee, wine, oh my! Now time for the pedi- not an automatic jet tub but rather a basin filled with warm water and soap. I was surprised by the pedi basin but didn't notice a difference in the quality of my pedi. Jessica used a variety of scrubs to exfoliate and prepare my skin for the pedicure. She had a wide variety of colors and feedback to help you narrow down options. Next was the gel mani-again, a ton of colors to choose from and she was so helpful in stream lining my ideas for colors and designs. She was meticulous in cleaning my cuticles which is my favorite part and shaping my tiny nails. Typically gel doesn't stay on my nails and will peel off 3-5 days in. We're on day 9 and they're still holding on which makes me super excited! Need I mention I've spent the last week on beaches and snorkeling so the quality of the manicure is fantastic. Do not give your real credit card number when booking. I have been to the salon many times and referred many people. My mother in law had a massive medical emergency and I could not find the booking confirmation anywhere so I sent a text to cancel and re-book the service. Despite my appointment being the following day, and the fact I had re-booked, I was still charged $21.50. I asked for a credit against my re-booking and was told no. They say only no-shows and same day bookings will be charged a fee and despite being a good customer who has referred at least 3 new clients, they would rather lose me as customer than work with me. I guess the $20 is worth more than a customer who refers people and goes in frequently? read more

Don't arrive a couple minutes earlier than your appointment if it's the first appointment for the day as they weren't open. Called 2 minutes after appointment time no answer. I was about to pull away and decided to get out of car and check door one more time. Yay they were open! Unfortunately their Yorkie wouldn't behave himself and I had to leave . Owner could have done more to accommodate a new client and I'm not a high maintenance type of person except when an animal is acting up or getting too close and jumping on me. The shop looked cluttered and a bit unkept as well so it was a blessing of sorts that Georgie was jumping but he nipped at my calf upon leaving as well. What can one do? Oh well... read more

What a great little place in the South Wedge. Now I'm a Winton/Browncroft gal... so I ventured across the city to check this place out. Jessica, the owner, was a delight. She was kind, friendly, and had a puppy running around. Who doesn't love a puppy greeting you at the door???!!! The salon is small, warm and cozy. And the vibe is trendy, relaxing, and friendly. Not a typical nail place that's high volume and just seems so rushed and busy. I got a wonderful gel mani. For polishes that are cruelty free and non toxic, there was quite a selection. Pink was the route I went. And the scrub at the end was wonderful. I can't wait to get back for a pedi. read more

I am absolutely BLOWN AWAY by the work Ariel (I apologize if I spelled it incorrectly!) did last night with my nails. I promise you, I did not find anything of this caliber anywhere on Pinterest! And I spent way too much time searching for design ideas. Every nail has different, unique, realistic, and perfectly rendered mixed floral designs on it. It is BEYOND beautiful. Breathtaking. I got engaged yesterday (!!!), so asked for a shade of yellow in the floral design to highlight the yellow diamonds. The best gel mani ever. I tear through gel as an anxious habit so they usually last me a week, sometimes less. This gel application is so smooth and tight that it lasted me almost 3 weeks. Granted I haven't been doing too much abrasive work yet but I definitely can see this staying on for just as long when I go back. For the first I went to Chelsea and the second I went to Jessica. I would highly recommend everyone to check out this place! The owner, Jessica just opened up this nail spa/salon this past week. Immediately when you walk in, you feel so relaxed and calm. I apologize but no pics, hopefully she will put some up since the place is beautiful. This place uses non toxic ingredients so no harsh chemicals and also vegan free! Jessica has many years of experience working in the nail business and my pedicure was amazing. We started with a tangerine foot soak and she even did some aromatherapy on the palms of my hands to get the whole body experience. I throughly enjoyed the spa-like atmosphere from when she served me tea/fruit and chocolate, felt like I was in a good girlfriend's home getting pampered! Jessica was very thorough on my feet and gentle. She took the time to massage and buff my nails. Since its getting colder, I opted for the no-polish/buff pedicure. Everything she used was natural from the pumpkin foot scrub she makes herself to the almond oil she used to moisturize my legs. Pure Sole is a really homey and unique place for a relaxing mani/pedi - great for some day-off indulgence. I had some questions before my appointment and they were quick to get back by texting - very easy. The place is cute and well decorated with floral wallpaper and plants. You'll be greeted with a choice of drink. I got a peppermint tea. I'm not too well versed in the significance but they have both 5-free and 7-free polishes to choose from. I got a pedicure yesterday and would def recommend the experience. My toes look amazing! The place has a really homey feel that makes you want to stay and hang out/play with her little dog. I wouldn't recommend this for a quick walk-in mani/pedi. In fact, they're pretty busy so I wouldn't count on a walk-in at all. read more

Absolutely loved this little boutique salon tucked away in the south wedge! I got a regular mani pedi from Juniper and she did an excellent job. The hot stones that they use during the pedi to massage your calves were absolutely divine! Since everything is organic, there's no nasty fumes to knock you out as soon as you step inside. Also, I ended up smushing one of my nails right after getting home and Juniper fit me in the next day and fixed it free of charge! I will definitely be back! read more
