I struggled with mild cystic acne on my cheeks and initially went to a dermatologist to fix the issue, but the doctor just pushed topical creams and even suggested accutance. My very first appointment with Petie we not only tackled my acne head on, but she also addressed things I may have been doing at home that affected my acne (diet, detergents, fragrance, certain makeup brands). UNCOURTEOUS AND IRRESPONSIBLE STAFF Received a groupon for a 90 minute massage as a birthday gift. Called the number to make an appointment 2 weeks out and notified I'd be using a groupon. Went to the appointment and was told by an older woman that she didn't have me for an appointment, and that the other girls don't work for her and she didn't know. She ignored me after that and helped another client without any other thought or solution for me. read more

Had my facial with Petie a couple days ago and I'm dreaming of when I can get back! She really gives you the works... It's more of a facial experience. There was cleansing, massaging, dermabrasion, exfoliating, pore clearing, enzyme application, steam, mask, etc. All the while she is evaluating your problem areas and offering useful tips and advice. I have been following Petie since she was in a back room at Barbara's Beauty Supply. I freaked out when I hadn't been there in a few months, showed up and she was gone!! Thankfully, I was able to find her at Penache (sp?), and now, at her beautiful place on Village Rd. She is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE ESTHETICIAN, and in my honest opinion, anyone not going to her is truly missing out. I would recommend her to anyone and if I could, I'd be there EVERY day. I usually leave the decision on what to do with my skin up to her. I have NEVER been disappointed. Her prices are out of this world and I don't mean that as in astronomical, I mean it as in beyond reasonable. I am a hardcore fan of skin care, so for years, family and friends would always get me gift certificates for birthdays, Christmas, Mother's Day, ect. The " Day Spas" I would get the certificates for were definitely upscale places and there were several. Not one of them could hold a candle to the treatments I got from Petie, and so much for the amount of money I paid. If only I had known her back then when I used to get all those certificates, I would have told my loved ones to get them from Pure skin logic instead. I have been a devoted client of Petie's for years and will remain just that. Anyone reading these reviews, sitting on the fence about making an appointment at Pure Skin Logic, I say DO IT! I was injured under the care of Petie Anderson during a service at Pure Skin Logic in Lakewood, CA. As she positioned a magnifying lamp over my face, the lid fell & hit my face/lip area. At first she was kind & concerned but then lied to the lamp manufacturer that the swelling had gone down before I left. She stated this after I emailed her about the painful swelling, the subsequent bruise and headache that I suffered, plus I had difficulty eating & drinking due to the raspberry sore on the inside of my mouth caused by this injury. I do not recommend this person to work on you, or to stand behind you after she insists on initiating a complaint on my behalf to the lamp company. I still haven't received a refund from her. read more

Petie is the best! I was referred to her by a friend and I have never looked back. On my first visit I was in the middle of a bad hormonal breakout on my jaw line. This was in April of 2013. I went for facials every 2 weeks for about a month and half and my break out cleared up and never came back. Since then I've been getting a facial every month and I haven't even had one blemish since then! Seriously. Everywhere I go people tell my my skin looks beautiful and it's not like I wear a lot of makeup. Her prices are the best around and my monthly facial includes dermabrasion (every time) and usually a light peel followed by a mask of some sort. She evaluates your skin to see what you need each time. It's not a cookie cutter salon where you pay for a certain facial and that's what you get. She customizes it to your needs each and every time. She sells product there as well but never pushes it on you. The first time I went she gave me a few cleanser and moisturizer samples. I was ready to just buy the product right then and there but she told me to try it to see if I liked it first. Well, I did and it's what I've been using for over a year now. The prices of the products are EXTREMELY reasonable (less than anything I've ever bought before). Petie is a very nice and sweet person. She is very personable and always takes her time with my facials. I live in Huntington Beach and it takes me about 25-30 minutes to get there but it is so worth it. Best facials I've ever had (and I've had a lot) I highly, highly recommend Petie for your skincare!!!!! read more
