I switched to KNOW Heating after using a big name company that I did service with for almost 10…read moreyears. The big name company with fancy commercials on TV And took monthly service amounts to "make it easier" for me. 2 years ago they said that I needed to replace my ENTIRE air conditioning unit that they had been servicing for almost 10 years. The unit was only 11 years old at that point. They tried to sell me a new one for $9k !!!! I decided to get a second opinion and had 3 different companies come to check the unit. THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG. They said someone had loosen up a valve and all the antifreeze was gone. Needless to say I was almost the victim of fraudulent business practices. I dropped my contract and have been with KNOW ever since - you WILL NOT find a better HVAC company with amazing customer service and integrity. Ask for Scott! That said, also apparently not terribly skilled at…read morediagnosing an issue correctly because it took three trips -- all at my expense -- before their other tech found what he called "a very obvious issue"...so obvious it was somehow missed twice before by his co-worker. On top of that, he also said we needed a new TXV, except it turned out that was also incorrect. The TXV was, and still is, fine. It was later discovered by a different company that on the original visit the co-worker had badly overcharged our unit to the point where the excess refrigerant had to be bled off and recaptured before it caused bigger issues, like mimicking a bad TXV. We used the different company for that, they didn't charge us for it, and I won't bother calling Air Supply ever again. I used Air Supply based on recommendations here on Yelp and from several neighbors. Not sure why we got so lucky but we ended up spending a LOT of unnecessary money chasing down "a very obvious issue" and having someone else fix it.

UPDATE: Based on Mackenzie's response to my initial review, I chose to give Custom a second…read morechance. Chris came out, very personable and knowledgeable, and provided me with a couple quotes. I wanted a Mitsubishi system--and what do you know, he revealed to me that my other Mitsubishi quote from another dealer was full of bunk. Go figure. So, I took him up on his offer. I asked for quotes on both the low and high end system; I chose the low end system. Here's where it gets interesting: they brought the high end system instead, due to some paperwork mixup. They spent about an hour figuring things out for themselves, and in the end came to me with the offer: "we'll just let you keep this and get it installed today for the low end system price, it's just easier". I took them up on it. The installers were great, thorough, and efficient. Here it is 5 months later and 22 degrees outside, and all is well. Thanks for reaching out, Mackenzie. It worked out well.
