Being a carnivore, I have been procrastinating trying this restaurant out. Looking at the menu made me cringed, the name of the dish is just not what they are..... cauliflower wings are obviously not wings.... I was even skeptical of ordering a glass of wine (pinot gris). Would it be just a glass of grape juice and with ZERO alcohol in it? To my surprise, I enjoyed my meal. We ordered 2 appetizers: cauliflower wings (with Korean BBQ, and Spicy Gochujang sauce) were tasty, they had enough crispiness to them. We also had poutine, with real" potato and gravy (the real deal!!!). I also ordered bibimbap, not my favorite, but not bad, i had enough cauliflower in one night, so I switched out cauliflower rice with brown rice. It was favorful, I managed to finish the whole thing. Don't get me wrong, the food was good. Just not my cup of tea. Great customer service! And the price is decent as well ($40 per person). Worth trying it out!

Cute place, creative food, friendly staff! We had been at the MEC doing way too much shopping and we thought, let's check this out. We shared a bean/chip dip that was pretty good. Not too spicy, but it definitely had some kick to it in spots. I had a burger that was soooo good. I had a side salad that was perfect too. THe food is delicious. And I can appreciate that the burger was made with nuts and mushrooms and not some imposter meat. I love when a kitchen can be more creative than the alternatives. My husband had a burrito? It was okay. But not my speed normally. The dinning area was small and cozy. So be prepared to be sitting close to others. It was bright, well lit, clean bathroom, can't complain. It was a great visit!

I have friends who love this place but I just can't get into it. The price is high for what it is - vegetables, and juices. Specifically, vegetarian dishes and smoothies that you can ultimately make at home. Their famous cauliflower wings is good, but I managed to make similar dupe with air fryer and teriyaki sauce. The bibimbap was okay, but again, I'm sure I can whip up something that taste almost the same at home for fraction of the price. I really don't know what the hype of this place is about. Service was okay and the food was honestly just okay. I respect that it's a mainstream restaurant for people who eat out to try to eat healthier. I also respect it's helping cut the carbon footprint by providing widely received vegetarian meals. But the vibe of the place feels it cater to the fru fru hipsters, gen z with complicated dietary restrictions from too much googling, and vegans who needs everyone to know they're vegans. As a meat-eater-gluten-lover who only gets their fruit doses through bubble teas, I'm just not their demographic.

Delicious vegetarian and vegan restaurant. Even my skeptical meat-loving family members enjoyed their meal here. By the looks of it, the restaurant is also a local favorite - even at around 4:00pm on a Saturday the restaurant was packed! If there's one thing you need to try here, try the Radical Cauliflower Wings appetizer. These tasty, crispy bites of cauliflower are smothered in your choice of sweet Korean bbq sauce or classic Buffalo hot sauce and served up with a side of dressing. Great starter to the meal. For my entree I ordered the Royale with Cheese burger and upgraded the regular side salad to a side of Transformed salad. I liked the burger, which had an earthy but slightly sweet mushroom walnut patty in it. The Transformed salad was decent, but it didn't taste very memorable overall. Food is on the pricier side here, but it feels acceptable for what it is. Next time I'm in the area I'd be happy to come back to try more menu options.

Cauliflower Wings - half and half sauce

It was fairly quiet when we went. It was at 7pm on a Friday. Tables are separate by plexiglass which was awesome and they require you to check in on an app. So make sure you bring your phone. The menu is also through your phone. We ordered the cauliflower wings which were amazing. We decided on half and half for the sauce. The sweet sauce was great but the spicy sauce was quite spicy. Next I order the royale burger and a side of belle poutine which were surprisingly really good! My husband ordered the falafel wrap with a side of soup of the day (dal). Disclaimer very filling so don't over order. We ended up only eating half of the burger and the wrap. Brought the rest home. Awesome service. Would go back again.

Great spot for vegan options, lots of lunch/dinner options along with fresh juices, smoothies and more. Their rooftop patio has a great view of Westboro!

Having finished my pilgrimage to MEC across the street, the sun was setting on a very cold night and I was too lazy to search for a restaurant. My laziness paid off -- it often does -- and Pure Kitchen called me into its brightly lighted interior. I was a vegan for almost ten years and, if I was smarter, I would resume the lifestyle because my health was superb during that time. The menu looked good and the crowded dining area suggested that I wouldn't be disappointed. I ordered a Funky Monkey smoothie and Royale Burger. I'm not a smoothie fan but the secret ingredients in this one are addicting. The split pea soup that accompanied the Royale Burger was a satisfying bowl of comfort as the temperatures dipped even further outside. The final surprise was the burger: it was the best I've ever had. When I told the young waitress, she probably thought I was just being polite. Nope, honestly, this was really good. If the rest of the menu is as amazing as these three items, I look forward to being overwhelmed when I make a point of visiting here on my next visit.

Wanted to grab a healthy bite to eat, so we decided to try Pure Kitchen out for the first time. Although it's a little more on the pricey side, the portions were perfect. The host sat us on the street bar top, which was a great atmosphere. Food was great, service was awesome! Definitely give it a try!

Food was great, got the liberty Buffalo cauliflower wrap and it was delicious. It was a big portion and I got it with the half fries and half kale Caesar salad. The salad and fries were good too, I could've gotten just the sides and been satisfied! Gave four stars because the wait was pretty long.

Everyone knows how much I love meat. But, the food served here is so delicious and flavorful that if I had to go vegan, I'd have no regrets. And, the service is friendly and fast! Today's meal consisted of roasted red pepper soup, followed by a peanut butter cup, and a cup of coffee. Seems like a small amount of food but It was very satisfying and didn't leave me wanting more.

Pure kitchen is my kryptonite! My partner would say, that's an understatement. Everything about this place is perfect. A great place for vegans, vegetarians, pescatarians! Both Elgin and Richmond locations are perfect. Thank you.

This vegetarian place can give meat places a run for their money. You can find great vegan options on the menu as well. Quality is excellent and I recommend making a reservation since the place is always busy. The menu is very creative, the food is of great quality and the presentation excellent as well. Highly recommend dining here if you are in the area.

Just gotta say....I've come a looooooong way from being the girl who thought mushrooms and pineapple only came in cans and cherries were only found in Dole Fruit Cups. :) This was my first, definitely not my last, visit to Pure Kitchen - DELICIOUS!!!! We started with the cauliflower "wings", and then I had the Victorious Bowl. My friend order a burger, which looked fantastic....I'll probably try that the next time I go. As a non-vegetable-lover, I was beyond happy with my meal, and can't wait to go back. :)

Drunken Monkey with spinach: - I ordered the Drunken Monkey with vegan protein powder and spinach. I found my drink lacked a bit of flavour (they scoop the fruit into the cup before blending and a big chunk of fruit created a big air hole, which I think is the reason my drink lacked flavour) but I was really happy with the whole ingredients used and the added protein powder. The service was a little slow but the employee was really nice and I enjoyed looking at the artwork on the walls. Would We Return? They also have smoothies, crepes and other desserts in addition to juice. The Long Version: When the big Bridgehead coffee shop at the corner of Richmond Rd and Golden Ave closed down, the space was vacant for a while, and I was very curious as to what would go in. Well, in the autumn of 2025 Aseer Time opened up. Aseer Time is a Kuwaiti company founded in 2011 and is known for their juices, smoothies and desserts. This is the first (and as of the writing of this review, only) location in Ottawa. The first Canadian location was in Mississauga and there are only a handful of locations in Canada so far, all in Ontario. I love trying new places, so I was excited to check it out, but they are too popular, and everytime I walked by they were crowded with lineups and I don't do crowds or line ups, lol. I lucked out in early November on our first snowfall of the season, the place only had a few customers and there was no lineup. So I ducked in from the snow to get an ice cream (!) lol. I got The Havana ($6.99) which is a soft serve swirl of mango sorbet and berry ice cream. The berry ice cream is blue and reminded me a bit of the Smurf ice cream I'd get at Canada's Wonderland when I was a kid. The berry flavour was subtle, but it complimented the mango sorbet which had a more potent flavour. I liked the creaminess of the ice cream contrasting the more fruit puree texture of the mango sorbet. I enjoyed the swirl. The space is large with lots of seating. They have lots of tables so great for groups. People were spaced out everywhere so I couldn't get any good pictures without people in it. Service was courteous and efficient. Street parking only. Looking forward to trying their other items. Review #219 (2025)

TL;DR/The Short Version: Tasty and aesthetically pleasing…read moresmoothies, but a bit pricey. The Long Version: This location in Orleans is the fourth location for Juice Dudez. Their first was in Westboro and I checked them out there when they first opened back in 2020. I had a Pina Colada bubble tea there and wasn't overly impressed. But they must be doing something right if they opened a second location on Bank St, a third location in the Byward Market and now a fourth location in Orleans. Their specialty appears to be fruit smoothies and dessert crepes/waffles. So I decided to try their smoothies. I got the Fancy Dude $13 which is avocado smoothie layered with mango smoothie and strawberry smoothie on top. There's sliced fruits (kiwi, star fruit, strawberries and blueberries) on top as well as crushed nuts (I think pistachios). I added Astha (Lebanese cream) for an additional $1.50. There was also honey drizzled on top. The drink was super pretty and fairly tasty, but I found the price a bit high. The amount of Ashta I received was small, just a little scoop. The smoothie was definitely tastier than the bubble tea I had at their OG location when they first opened. The smoothies here are similar to the smoothies at La Bocca Juice down on Bank St, or Cocktail Antabli and Cocktail Hawaii (both in Montreal). Service was pleasant. Decor is nice. Free parking available in the plaza parking lot. It's where Menchie's used to be. Review #49 (2025)

Anyway, I love the CoCo chain in general because their milk teas are generally strong and creamy. My mom had never been to a CoCo before, and she loves taro, so I brought her there to try out their taro drinks. She got a large fresh taro milk ($5.70) and added tapioca ($0.50), regular sweetness and regular ice. I got a medium 3 Guys Milk Tea ($5.50), 30% sweetness and regular ice. For some reason my drink came in an opaque cup, while my mom's drink came in a clear cup, so hers was much more photogenic than mine. The 3 Guys Milk Tea is milk tea with tapioca, Mesona jelly (aka grass jelly or herbal jelly), and pudding (which is a bit like a cross between flan and pudding). I love lots of toppings in my drinks, so I really enjoyed my drink, but I do feel that this drink is not for everyone. Some people may find the texture of the pudding and jelly to be odd in a drink (it's like really soft jello), and the herbal taste of the grass jelly is less mainstream than toppings like tapioca or coconut jelly. I would probably not recommend this drink for a bubble tea novice, but if you've had lots of bubble tea before, or are familiar with grass jelly and like it, then I would definitely recommend it ;) The tapioca were soft and chewy. The tea didn't taste as strong as I've had at other locations, but it was still very good. 30% sweetness was perfect for me, as I don't like overly sweet drinks. My mom loved her drink. She really liked the real taro layer. A lot of the time, taro drinks are made with artificial taro powder, so she loved the fresh taro. Service was good and the wait time was short.
