My project was delayed so I didn't make the purchase until August 5. Bobbie was terrific. Great ideas, patient, fun to work with. Great selection at many price points. As much as I prefer to 'shop local', I'm this case it just couldn't work out. I recommend Floor & Decor. Also, when just browsing the salespeople are not breathing down your neck. Now the pickup... As for the pickup process, I'm quite dissatisfied at the moment. I am holding off on an individual review for the pickup until I cool down. At the moment it's 0 stars. I am currently in the parking lot. I understand being short-staffed. However, common courtesy is lacking here in a big way. In my opinion this is a combination of passive customer service from the employee and downright rudeness by another customer. I walked into the pickup area and there was no one there to help. I waited a several minutes and then went to the cashier. They said it might be a bit but they would try to find someone. Not a big deal, I can wait. When someone came to help me he looked at my receipt and ID and told me to pull into one of the pickup bays. There was another customer (male) behind me waiting. Note: I was there first. The other customer and someone else with him were already pulled into the pickup bays. Common courtesy might have been to volunteer to move a vehicle and wait their turn. At the very least the employee should have asked them to move one vehicle. He did not even ask. It was not my responsibility or my place to ask them to move. Management implied this happens frequently and most of the time the customers already in the bay will not move. They loaded the other customer first which took an estimated 15-20 min. It was long enough for me to go to the sales floor and speak with the designer I worked with to tell them what was happening and write most of this review. Tiles were loaded in my car. My suggestion is to maybe place cones or something in front of the bays until the customer is instructed to pull in. I know it's a hassle but I'm pretty miffed that this pickup took almost as long as picking out the tile simply because a customer wouldn't wait their turn and the employee didn't even ask them to move!

Once the floor was ready to go in, Rob the flooring manager came out to go over how things would work and to make sure that the product got delivered. On the day of installation I met Brian, who was the installer. After removing the carpet Brian realized that there were some issues with the wood floor underneath. Rob came out again and the two of them came up with a plan. Once Rob left, Brian was on it! He was not only incredibly nice, he was professional, efficient, and fast. He cared so much about making sure the job was not only done right, but was done in a way that would make me happy. In this day and age, good help is hard to find and keep, but it looks like they have found a way to do it. A couple of years ago I brought them in because a client in St. Charles had newer factory finished floors with scratches from the tenant's dog. After Champion was finished, the floors looked like they were job finished floors (stained after installation rather than at a factory). They worked with me to get the exact stain color I wanted and they looked gorgeous. So it's not surprising at all that when I bought my current house a couple of years ago and needed to refinish the floors, I would call Champion. I couldn't decide on the color, and the lead installer was so patient as I kept trying new colors. When I eventually decided on no stain...he didn't bat an eye. And the floors turned out wonderful! I would use them again in a heartbeat. After all of this, I later discovered that it's a family owned business. Bonus!
