The morning…read moreof my free class someone called to say "oh, you've been here before...and you never joined" basically why are you trying again? Very passive aggressive. Why offer a free class to people who you don't want coming to your studio? Sorry I didn't join the last time, I was still deciding what I wanted to do. Now I know what I want to do...not join this studio!

I had encouragement early on in my journey from the staff directly via text and got tips on the best way to schedule. All classes start and end on time. I have taken classes from 5 different instructors and they are all very well trained and give a consistent workout. Because the classes are small (12 people) it may be hard to get in, so i suggest the unlimited class membership. You can easily book out classes for a few weeks and you can also waitlist for classes. I know there are some reviews about issues with getting into classes on a month to month basis. I think it's worth the upgrade to unlimited. I have had ZERO issues booking classes. The staff is available for any questions. I highly recommend Club Pilates South Charlotte.

Unfortunately, there is one recurring issue that's making me consider canceling my membership. A couple of mornings each week, very early in the day, a group of members brings their own music and plays it so loudly that it can be heard throughout multiple saunas, even with their sauna door closed. I genuinely admire their commitment to their workouts, and I have no issue with them listening to their own music. The problem is simply the volume. The loud music competes with the relaxing music the gym is already playing, creating an overwhelming mix of sounds. On top of that, their yelling and excitement during their workout make it nearly impossible to hear the instructor in my own session or experience the peaceful atmosphere the gym is designed to provide. This has turned what should be a calming, restorative experience into a stressful and distracting one. It's especially disappointing because I truly love everything else about this place. If this issue could be addressed--whether by enforcing reasonable volume levels or ensuring music stays within the sauna it's being played in--I would happily continue my membership. I hope management considers this feedback because I believe the peaceful environment is the heart of what makes this gym special.

When you become a meme we you have 24 hour access and you can take a class any time of day or night. Classes are held in a room that holds up to 3 people. The rooms are reminiscent of a sauna and for good reason. They have wooden floors, ceilings and walls and shall I mention that rooms are heated from 125 to 128 degree infrared heat. Classes are 15 to 30 minutes long. There is a large variety of classes. You can take yoga, barre, cycle, Pilates, ISO and more. I really enjoy that the rooms are small and only allows a few people. The members all seem to be very friendly. I especially love that the members are diverse in gender, age, weight, strength and shape. I don't feel pressured to win but only to do my best and enjoy my workout. I love the heat. The infrared heat is great for detox, pain in the body, increase sleep, decrease stress, help with post recovery, burn more calories faster and more. Try out a class. I feel great afterwards and look forward to going back. They even have an app the connects to your Apple Watch, Fitbit or you can record your calories burned separately. I look forward to many more workouts

As you read this...Keep the fact that this facility is the most expensive gym membership…read moreanywhere...and especially Charlotte. Also this is meant to provide constructive feedback in hopes that management/area director and leadership at Lifetime read this- finally these are constant grievances of mine, others on this feed and I have been a member for more than 3 years. Additionally, I've experienced the brand new top shelf Lifetime in Cary NC...world of difference in service, equipment (of course new) , AND true spa like feel in the men's locker room...down to lockers have 'bumpers' on them so when they are shut they are quiet. 1. NOISE! Men's spa area is so loud I have to wear airbuds to escape the constant yammering of others in the steam and sauna. 2. Tired Equipment and in consistent amenities- I joined for the quality of equipment and mainly access to steam and dry sauna- Equipment is worn out...bikes, cable machines, benches, accessories for gym equipment in general need replacement. Machines sit dormant waiting for repair often...and Steam room is constantly inconsistent and temperatures in dry sauna are below recommended temps. Did I also mention how LOUD it is in the 'Quiet Area.' 3. Towel service is 1 STAR....and unacceptable. Last night and many days/nights the shelves in the locker area are bare with NO TOWELS....I literally had to walk the locker room to find a clean towel to dry off with. 4. Family Friendly. YES! It should be...but now that school/college is on summer break the gym experience is fraught with kids being kids.. from locker room to gym floors...absolute chaos... 5. Showers- The entire shower area is a mess a lot of the time, but especially last night....walk into a shower and someone left towels inside stall....No attendants cleaning up or restocking towels...counters full of water, etc. NOT A PREMIUM EXPERIENCE! I truly enjoy investing in my health and consider Lifetime a splurge in my budget....BUT I continually leave shaking my head at the level of service...quality...and inconsistency....even the 'simple things' from a staff person, like Have a good night...hope you had a nice workout. It would be nice to have persons on the floor assisting 'newbies' with workout tips or offering assistance in using the equipment.

The new guest policy is ridiculous as well. Not being able to bring the same person back for 60 days makes the guest passes practically USELESS. I simply wanted to bring the same friend occasionally so we could play tennis together. Between the overcrowding, declining cleanliness, and worsening guest policy, the membership is no longer worth the price.

I joined this Pilates studio because I genuinely enjoy Pilates and was excited about the quality of…read morethe instructors, who are very good. Unfortunately, the membership experience has been incredibly disappointing. The studio actively recruited new clients into a $189-per-month membership program for 8 classes with the expectation that we would be able to regularly attend classes. In reality, getting into a class has been extraordinarily difficult. I would estimate that 90% of the time, the classes are already full, leaving me on a waitlist. I've heard several other members expressing their frustration around the same issue. The waitlist system creates another problem. Openings can occur at the last minute, and if you don't see the notification in time and are automatically added to the class, you can then be charged a no-show fee. So you're paying a significant monthly membership fee for classes you struggle to access, while potentially being penalized when a last-minute opening doesn't work with your schedule. What is most frustrating is that when I joined, I was specifically told there was plenty of class availability. That simply has not been my experience. If a studio is going to aggressively recruit new members, it needs to have the class capacity to accommodate them. Continuing to sell memberships without sufficient availability feels misleading and, frankly, like a bait-and-switch. Several of us have work schedules that require early mornings, which means late-afternoon or evening classes are really our only practical option. When we shared this concern with the owner, her suggestion was that we attend the 6:00 a.m. class and simply get ready for work in the studio bathroom. To be clear, this is a single, standard bathroom, not a locker room or changing facility with showers or other amenities. The suggestion that multiple clients should work out at 6:00 a.m. and then somehow get ready for their professional workday in the studio's one bathroom, without even the ability to shower, felt completely impractical. It also raises the obvious question of how one person could occupy the studio's only bathroom for 20 to 30 minutes getting ready without inconveniencing everyone else. Rather than acknowledging the legitimate concern that working members need reasonable access to evening classes, the response seemed dismissive of our schedules and the capacity issue we were trying to address. I found the suggestion lacking in both thoughtful judgment and respect for the very real scheduling constraints of members paying $189 a month for access to classes they are struggling to attend. The instructors deserve credit because the classes themselves are very good. Unfortunately, that doesn't matter much when members can't get into them. Between the lack of class availability, the waitlist and no-show structure, and what appears to be poor management of membership capacity, I have been left feeling duped and taken advantage of. At $189+ per month, members should have reasonable access to the service they are paying for. Until this studio addresses its capacity issues, I cannot recommend joining. You may find yourself spending far more time managing waitlists than actually taking Pilates classes, which is an unfortunate waste of both money and time.

The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and attentive, always offering modifications and making sure everyone is moving in a way that supports their body. I never feel pressured to push beyond what feels right, yet I still leave every class feeling stronger and more confident. What I love most is that it truly works your entire body while being gentle on the joints and spine. For someone who has had major back issues, that's huge. The studio environment is welcoming, clean, and encouraging, and the classes have quickly become something I look forward to every week. If you're recovering from injuries, easing back into exercise, or just want a workout that strengthens without beating up your body, I can't recommend Club Pilates enough.
