I took the online "Boundaries 101" class and WOW! It exceeded my expectations for finding value and peace in my life. I took the class because it advertised to help "highly sensitive people" and since childhood I've been admonished for that. Well Ana helped me turn it into a superpower. What a different perspective! This week's weekly assignment with Ana was to practice self-love and boost self-worth. It took us to 5 Love languages, one was to Offer Acts of Service - Write a glowing recommendation for someone who deserves it. She deserves it!! Ana was put in my life over a year ago after my breast cancer diagnosis. It was caught early and removed, but I needed to learn how to heal myself and how to take care of my heart, body, and mind for the future. Fast forward a year I have achieved my personal goals and beyond. She is beyond a Physical Therapist, Coach, and Healer. I consider her a friend and one of the main tools in my toolbox. She changed my life, and my relationships with my family, friends, and strangers have changed because I have. Everything has so much more meaning and joy each day. She will teach you how to listen to your heart (intuition, gut instinct, etc.) and to trust it. I have learned how to embrace my female energy (I was raised to use mainly my male side) and to accept that life is a rollercoaster of feelings and how to deal with the ups and downs head-on. To feel is to live, good and bad. To know the bad times are just moments and they can pass like a cloud was invaluable. I could write for hours and not repeat myself on the benefits of seeing Ana. Today's session was incredible. Ana asked all the right questions to get to the root of my problem pretty quickly. She is very thorough and has strong yet soothing hands. She combines western and eastern philosophy and channels a very calm and soothing energy. She is specific about the diagnosis and tells you what her plan is to bring you back to health. I am so far sailing through my hip replacement surgery recovery - all because of Ana. Not only did Ana help me create muscle strength and tone before surgery which I am using now to get around so much faster than I ever would've expected - but because she took the time and has the skills and an almost superhuman ability to communicate on such a deep body level - how each muscle needs to work and how I can sense it working and how I can invite each muscle to work correctly - I am able to be efficient in all my movements and completely without pain meds.This has just made such an amazing huge difference. I don't go to doctors.... Ana is sooooo good, I mean I came to her after visiting a ucla doctor for hip and knee pain, he recommended me to visit a physical therapist since he could not help me. Ana has helped me with my pain and body awareness, how I sit and walk. She has given me exercises. She is a healer, knowledgeable, great techniques with her hands. She is very intuitive and feels , point and heal the pain. I have an inside joke with her , I call her a witch lol! Meaning she does magic with her healing hands. Ana has been my family's therapist for almost two years. I had the Crystal Light treatment for my insomnia. It was a very relaxing experience. After only 1 treatment, It seems as though I am sleeping better. I met Ana through a mutual friend and I signed up for her stretch class. I am leaning how to use tennis balls and foam rollers to release tight muscles so my body can function with more easeful movements. Prior to the classes I asked Ana for suggestions to help ease pain and increase movement in my left shoulder. She suggested that I see her for physical therapy. In just four weeks I have been able to increase my range of movement and reduce the pain. Ana has explained the anatomy of the shoulder joint, as well as provided me with specific exercises to strengthen and stretch the arm and scapula.
