I never been to this location and the GPS guided me to the complete opposite side of the place. I called twice for help finding it and received the voicemail. When I finally arrived at 6:35am While standing at the door I received stares but still no help! I will never come back here again. 0/10 would not recommend.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This place is a joke--and Rob, the OWNER, is the punchline. I…read moresigned up for a membership after a class, thinking I was joining a supportive, professional studio. What I got instead was a shady cancellation policy, poor communication, and one of the most condescending emails I've ever received in my life--all courtesy of Rob. When I submitted a doctor's note and asked to cancel, I expected a basic level of professionalism. Instead, Rob decided to send me a passive-aggressive email lecturing me on his company's policies, defending the employee who signed me up (who clearly didn't explain the terms properly), and implying that I was somehow unfair for calling the cancellation policy "ridiculous." Spoiler alert: it is. Rob's email was less about resolving the issue and more about making sure I knew how right he thinks he is. Imagine needing medical care, asking to cancel, and getting a long-winded reply about how his employees deserve their commissions. Like, seriously? Rob, I didn't ask for a finance breakdown or a guilt trip--I asked to cancel a service. Also, don't talk to paying customers like they're dumb. That "if you were an employee here, I'd hope you'd want to be paid" line? Completely unnecessary and dripping with arrogance. You could have just said "thank you for the documentation, your cancellation is processed"--but no, you had to be petty and self-righteous. The tone, the attitude, the complete lack of empathy--Rob is a textbook example of how not to lead customer relations. I'm so glad to be done with this place. I would never recommend this studio to anyone, unless they enjoy being patronized by smug management who clearly think customers are beneath them. Take your money elsewhere. There are plenty of studios that actually care about people--not just policies and commissions.

I did learn that sumo squats are not my friend!. If you have been to Pure Barre I would say the classes have similarities but Barre3 has more cardio/yoga and a more intense warmup. I like that they throw more cardio in, it makes it feel like a better all around workout. I hate when you go to a new studio for the first time and no one really shows you the ropes. Not the case with Barre3! The front desk had already marked down that it was my first time so after a bit of paperwork I got a quick tour and learned what to grab for each class. Tori C was an awesome instructor for my first time back at the barre in years. She was friendly, motivating, and always there to give me a helpful correction. I have also really enjoyed Suzanne's class. She is upbeat and motivating! The AC was not working at full force during the last class and she had me so much in the zone I didn't even notice. Highly recommend checking them out. They even offer child care at a super affordable rate during class. I think that is such a nice touch for moms. **Really bummed they are no longer letting Class Pass people sign up for classes, the only option now is a 7pm weekday class. I completely understand not letting Class Passers in to their busiest classes, but for example Tuesday at noon, that class is usually pretty empty. I was told they ran the Class Pass test for a year to see what they thought. Sad this will no longer be in my weekly routine.**

Every studio is so different but I have to say barre3 is definitely one of my favorites. What makes barre3 stand out? 1) more cardio then other barre studios 2) lot's of mirrors and a much bigger room then some of the others in town 3) childcare (no I don't need it but I have so many friends I want to bring to workout with me and none of these boutique studios have childcare but barre3 does!!! ) Check the times though they only offer it for certain class times. 4) easy parking I was sweating puddles in this class an really enjoyed the cardio aspect. I also enjoyed the burn in my muscles the next day which means I got a good workout. We did a crazy plank series as well that was very challenging. I'm here to workout and that's what I got at barre3, can't wait till my next class.

I enjoyed their 4:30 afternoon classes and some of their Saturday classes. Many Barre studios only give you access to one location, so I loved that they gave you access to multiple. Their Pure Barre app made it easy to sign up or cancel classes too.

The workout trend Pure Barre is designed around getting that dancer body... But through totally different means! I'm talking dubstep. Blasting as girls place kickballs between their thighs, then squat, tuck, and tooch (to borrow a term coined by Miss Tyra). It's true: I never thought I'd be booty-tooching to Scrillex... outside the privacy of my own home. The workout started with some simple stretches and upper body routine, and some floor work in the form of plank and pushups. They only have dumbells in 2, 3, and 5 pounds. The short number of reps and low weight made this section of class completely un-challenging for me. But that disappointment was eased by the next part, where we stepped to the barre and focused on hips, thighs, and --as they like to delicately call it in Pure Barre-- "seat*." [*I don't have a seat. I have a bubbalicious boo-tay. Which is why I wanted to go to this class in the first place. So for clarification purposes in this review, my seat will instead be termed butt.] The most annoying thing for me was that the instructor demonstrated very few of the positions (perhaps due to lack of space on the barre); and it was difficult for me to follow her instructions some of the time. Many of the movements are so isolated, it's hard to look at a classmate and copy from what they're doing too. So parts of it did not feel tough... which left me wondering if I was doing the movement correctly. But other parts had my entire lower body shaking like a leaf, butt and quad muscles on fire. And I absolutely felt those muscles recovering the following 48 hours, so I know I did at least some of the things right! Class finished up with some ab work, which I also felt was too easy, and some finishing stretches. One hour flies by pretty quickly. And I can definitely see the appeal in a class that's shaped like this... getting all the core muscle groups into one workout. But I would personally prefer a class that focuses exclusively on the lower body, to round out my own exercise regimen and perhaps benefit my running as well. I did a drop-in class that was specially priced at $10; reasonable. (Their regular drop-in is $23.)

I've checked out other barre places around the Triangle, and this one was right by my house! The class is exactly what you'd expect from a Pure Barre class (scripted, a routine you would know). You enter the studio, sign in, and set up inside the room. Barre socks are a must, so bring some with you. There are bathrooms both outside and inside of the actual room, and only one wall has a mirror - so you aren't forced in front of one if you don't want it. Both classes I took started late, which is annoying, but it was the first week they were open. I definitely think it takes more than once class to feel the workout - you'll spend the whole first class just understanding what's going on, so if you have the opportunity, a class package is the way to go. I purchased the 4 classes for $40 newcomers special (14 days to use). Unfortunately some of the days the studio was closed due to snow, but the owners were more than accommodating about adding a few days back onto the pass to cover it. However, it was nearly impossible to get into a class! Even a full week ahead of time, I could not get into a class or on a wait-list - AT ALL (I'm talking the entire weekend was full). So despite the owner's accommodation with adding a few days on to the package, I was only able to use two classes anyway. My suggestion: If you have time to take class during the off-peak hours (mid-day? I have no idea) then it's worth it, but otherwise, any kind of package that can expire might not be worth your money. This might be due to the fact that they just opened a few weeks ago, so hopefully as they hammer out a better schedule, include more classes, etc. this won't be an issue.
