It's a pretty large studio that offers changing rooms, apparel for sale, and even childcare (only for some class times).

I've experienced 2 different instructors and both were patient & encouraging, I even cried in one of the sessions because that particular practice resonated with me so much. The studio is very clean. The bathroom was in impeccable shape. They offer some amazing products for cleaning up too one in particular that caught my eye was the Indie Lee Product. I didn't bring a mat but I was able to us one of theirs, the fee is $2. They offer a wide variety of drinks and I heard someone raving about the coconut water. Signing in is easy and quick. You just find your name and press check in. The cubbies are in the front and they lock the doors during a session to ensure safety of your things. Overall the studio, class instructors and staff are amazing. Such an amazing place to do yoga in Raleigh. Ps, there is plenty of parking too.

I first started going when they first opened and had to take a break due to work schedule etc. I recently joined back and it was like I never left. Instructors remembered my name and for those who didn't know me, quickly introduced themselves and made me feel right at home. I was blown away on how quickly everyone remembers your name.. it's a small thing.. but to me it, it made a world of difference. It's proof they truly do care about getting to know their community. I signed up for the yearly unlimited pass and could not be happier with all of the classes they offer. They have been extremely safe during covid, making sure everyone wears masks. The studio is super clean and they offer hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes. If you're wanting to be a part of a local Yoga community that you're always welcome in, look no further. Now more than ever we need to support local businesses and this one has been top on my list! Thank you YoBa!

I…read moresigned up for a membership after a class, thinking I was joining a supportive, professional studio. What I got instead was a shady cancellation policy, poor communication, and one of the most condescending emails I've ever received in my life--all courtesy of Rob. When I submitted a doctor's note and asked to cancel, I expected a basic level of professionalism. Instead, Rob decided to send me a passive-aggressive email lecturing me on his company's policies, defending the employee who signed me up (who clearly didn't explain the terms properly), and implying that I was somehow unfair for calling the cancellation policy "ridiculous." Spoiler alert: it is. Rob's email was less about resolving the issue and more about making sure I knew how right he thinks he is. Imagine needing medical care, asking to cancel, and getting a long-winded reply about how his employees deserve their commissions. Like, seriously? Rob, I didn't ask for a finance breakdown or a guilt trip--I asked to cancel a service. Also, don't talk to paying customers like they're dumb. That "if you were an employee here, I'd hope you'd want to be paid" line? Completely unnecessary and dripping with arrogance. You could have just said "thank you for the documentation, your cancellation is processed"--but no, you had to be petty and self-righteous. The tone, the attitude, the complete lack of empathy--Rob is a textbook example of how not to lead customer relations. I'm so glad to be done with this place. I would never recommend this studio to anyone, unless they enjoy being patronized by smug management who clearly think customers are beneath them. Take your money elsewhere. There are plenty of studios that actually care about people--not just policies and commissions.

I enjoyed their 4:30 afternoon classes and some of their Saturday classes. Many Barre studios only give you access to one location, so I loved that they gave you access to multiple. They also had fun events to encourage you to work out more. They usually had different barre socks than the Kildare location, for $18 per pair. Their Pure Barre app made it easy to sign up or cancel classes too.

When I think of barre, I think of perky, petite young women gracefully poised beside it, doing…read morepliés and point... building up their slender legs to support and sustain them with an incredible combo of strength and flexibility. The workout trend Pure Barre is designed around getting that dancer body... But through totally different means! I'm talking dubstep. Blasting as girls place kickballs between their thighs, then squat, tuck, and tooch (to borrow a term coined by Miss Tyra). It's true: I never thought I'd be booty-tooching to Scrillex... outside the privacy of my own home. The workout started with some simple stretches and upper body routine, and some floor work in the form of plank and pushups. They only have dumbells in 2, 3, and 5 pounds. The short number of reps and low weight made this section of class completely un-challenging for me. But that disappointment was eased by the next part, where we stepped to the barre and focused on hips, thighs, and --as they like to delicately call it in Pure Barre-- "seat*." [*I don't have a seat. I have a bubbalicious boo-tay. Which is why I wanted to go to this class in the first place. So for clarification purposes in this review, my seat will instead be termed butt.] The most annoying thing for me was that the instructor demonstrated very few of the positions (perhaps due to lack of space on the barre); and it was difficult for me to follow her instructions some of the time. Many of the movements are so isolated, it's hard to look at a classmate and copy from what they're doing too. So parts of it did not feel tough... which left me wondering if I was doing the movement correctly. But other parts had my entire lower body shaking like a leaf, butt and quad muscles on fire. And I absolutely felt those muscles recovering the following 48 hours, so I know I did at least some of the things right! Class finished up with some ab work, which I also felt was too easy, and some finishing stretches. One hour flies by pretty quickly. And I can definitely see the appeal in a class that's shaped like this... getting all the core muscle groups into one workout. But I would personally prefer a class that focuses exclusively on the lower body, to round out my own exercise regimen and perhaps benefit my running as well. I did a drop-in class that was specially priced at $10; reasonable. (Their regular drop-in is $23.)

I thought the classes were pricey for the area at $16 a class, but they do offer pay what you can community classes. According to their website they designed their studio environmentally green including using only "non-petroleum soy candles". Music is played during class which is nice. The studio has high ceilings and tall windows, but really only comfortably fits about 15 people practicing at once, but they can squeeze in 45 or so with mats 3 inches apart from each other. They have a store in the front with lots of books, dvds, and clothing. With a name like Blue Lotus I was expecting to see a blue wall somewhere or a lotus candle, something that plays on their name in the decor, but I think they were going for a white space with minimal decor. Not pretentious, but still clean, spacious, and inviting.
