I personally enjoyed the music selection, when city of angels came on, it was transcending me back to the memories of all the good times and that song played! I think I did pretty well for a noob, need to understand form and holding the core tight better but that'll come with practice. Made it to the end, there was plenty of build up spots where our instructor gave us a breather. I definitely think it's a great place to start at and they offer bunch of classes day and night. I'm sure there are tougher versions of the class but this one fit me just right!

Great HIIT workout ;) We spontaneously signed up last night for a 7am 45 min spin class for this morning. They offer mostly 45 min rides & it looks like from the schedule, 60 min ride classes occasionally. Check-in was super easy. One of the staff members checked us in upon arrival & helped us with shoes. They're $3 to rent here, which is on par with other competitors. Shoes can be added to cart online, as well, when you purchase rides + reserve bike. Now, onto the class itself! We rode to the beat of the music & like most other cycling classes, right foot dominant to chase the rhythm. Decent amount of choreo & LOTS of crunches. I've realized I really enjoy classes with choreo, so I personally appreciated it! Not the most choreo heavy class I've attended but it was still good. If you've never been to a spin class, music tends to be pretty loud. I found the music to be too loud here though; I like loud music (trust!) but it made it super difficult to hear cues from the instructor for switch in resistance, positions, etc). The class was very crunch-heavy, which I'm not used to. Typically only do crunches to one song but I believe it was ~3 songs throughout class? It was nice, something different! Overall, I did have lots of fun & am super glad I was able to make it to an early morning spin class here. I would for sure come back again... loved the energy & vibes. Plus, classes here are noticeably more reasonable than SoulCycle and others.

The workouts are amazing -- they are intense (HIIT workouts). It is great to have a different class each time, mixing it up keeps the workouts from getting boring. It is also nice to be able to monitor your progress during/after class. I would STRONGLY recommend trying this gym out -- what can you lose with a free trial class? They are also not pushy about buying the membership afterwards (something I am always nervous about before signing up for a free trial). The workout in an orangetheory class is so much better than any workout I could do on my own. GO GO GO!

The instructors are clearly very passionate about barre, Cassie being my favorite. I went the Secret Physique for about 2 months straight, 3-4 times a week, and each and every class was different. It's a franchise and each location has its quirks. If you have never done reformer pilates - TAKE YOUR TIME. It can be intimidating. Once I got myself into the studio, it was an interesting experience from there. Expect everyone to be delicately lean and know what they are doing (to a fault) when it comes to pilates. Other skills... well, we all are different. As a latino, I felt odd. As a 12 year zumba instructor, a lot of the mechanics were second nature to me, albeit the instructor for the day tried a "little too hard. Kudos for keeping safety at the forefront. It's not cheap, so if you are looking for price, this isn't the place for you. Given the drive and off of Route 9 (MY NEMESIS), I have some considerations. But I'd like to at least try the 4 pack one on one training sessions to get into the groove and see if this is something I can commit to longer term. As with any other program - work your way into it, unless you are one of the young superfreaks of nature (me, 35 years ago!). Pilates can be a gentle and effective way to strengthen, tone and lengthen, improving posture, balance and overall functional fitness activities (aka life in general). I have mixed feelings but I wasn't totally put off (chime in here F45 Wakeforest, NC area...). It's a logistics thing. If you are mainstream, middle income - you'll find yourself a great place to take your fitness to a new challenged.

She is a great instructor, always tweaking the formats to improve our workouts and eliciting feedback from members to ensure we are getting the most out of each class. She knows everyone by name and it truly feels like a community. I have taken both the boxing HIIT class and strength and conditioning class. Boxing HIIT encompasses circuits including boxing combos on the bag, alternating with HIIT (eg burpees, jump squats, jumping jacks, etc), with rounds of dumbbell work and abs mixed in. It is truly a full body workout. I took my boyfriend to a class and he was absolutely drenched in sweat by the end. Strength and conditioning is more of a traditional circuit format with alternating exercises focused on strengthening your arms, legs, back, and core. They also have boxing technique classes, youth boxing, and kickboxing classes throughout the week, and now sparring on Sunday. They just introduced women's only kickboxing class on Saturday morning which I am super excited to try out! Overall such a great addition to the JP community and one of my fav local businesses.

There's sticky pads to put on the reformer so you don't slip and we also used very squishy balls. I wasn't exhausted or overly sweaty, but felt like I got a good workout in. The people here are friendly and would definitely recommend checking this place out.
