Weekday classes will offer you more space, but don't get there late, otherwise you may end up being on their live stream for people following the class from home. It's a great workout, and the heated room is amazing for sweating all the toxins out of your body. They offer monthly specials periodically.

There's not a lot of Hindu influence here - their music selections are mostly ambient, modern relaxation or upbeat tracks that don't compete with instruction. Don't get confused -- enter through the Main St. door, as if you were going to the bank, but keep going into the building, and up the first half flight of stairs, you're there! This is a wonderful business in Medford, I want to help hang permanent decal signs on the windows, as it's really hard to know that studio is even there. Another yoga studio hops on the Prana Power bandwagon…read more Welcome to HYP's Needham outpost, where I ventured for a 75 minute "warm" power class last Monday. As I entered the waiting area, the "hot" flow class was leaving, super sweaty and sticky. The girl checking me in was friendly enough, and the paperwork to get my Passport to Prana card swiped was quick. I can't believe they only have one changing room and a bathroom for each sex! Classes easily hold 40 people, many of whom who need to change into their Lulumon gear beforehand, and who want to get out of those sticky sports bras immediately after. So, it was packed getting in. I found a spot to lay my mat; they've got tape on the floor showing you where to line your mats for optimal sardine squeezing. Why these power studios don't have you stagger your mat to allow for a fuller range of motion, I'll never get. My instructor was Jordan, who was nice enough and didn't say too much touchy feely bullshit. I did laugh a bit when he referred to wimping out on the yoga pushup as "cheaturanga." He had an assistant adjusting, which was cool, but she was a little forceful and pushed me a bit too deep into the asanas. She also didn't adjust the same student's pose on both sides of the body. We went through the typical Sun A, Sun B, triangle, side angle, tree pose, bow, pigeon, and some back bends. I sweated so much I turned part of my white Yogitoes towel the black from my mat underneath. Gross. It was a decent practice, and just enough heat to really make me work. I usually don't practice hot yoga. I was feeling all zen and shit until I was heading over to my mat with the mat wash spray and a grabby student tried to take it right out of my hand. I didn't like the vibe from the students practicing there. But, if you're close to Needham and want to hop on that hot power yoga train, here's another crowded spot for you to try.

Lets you arrive and sink into your met. I had such an issue with my hip and was going to see a dr the next week for a shot, I took one of her classes and she added ball rolling and WOW is all I can say. Dr said I didn't need a shot and continue to take yoga he also said I didn't need another appointment. If your body is craving to move and need to create space so that you can move easily take one of her classes she never a disappoints. Patty J

Jill and Gina, the current owners, have fostered an environment that is welcoming, supportive and focused on each individuals well being. The space is bright and airy and offers a varied class schedule. All yoga equipment is provided at the studio but you are welcome to bring your own. They offer virtual classes which provides flexibility and ensures in studio classes are never overwhelmed. Pricing is also reasonable with a variety of packages to choose from. Parking is never an issue with abundant street parking available. I've attended classes instructed by Jill, Gina, Heather, Christine, Theresa and Raman and highly recommend all of them!! After some googling, I found Medfield Yoga, so I signed up for the new student package and booked a Monday night class. The studio space is very relaxing and nicely decorated, and very clean! There are plenty of supplies, like mats, blocks, and blankets for the students to borrow. After taking two classes this week, I can say that I really liked the instruction that I received. The teachers were very helpful and supportive, as they explained each position and also demonstrated how it should look. I look forward to taking more classes. :)
