Pure Barre - Barre Classes Near Me - Columbus, Ohio

I can easily recommend this place - great workout and reasonable prices. The staff were all really nice and the instructors able to answer questions and were supportive. I used an unlimited monthly pass that was a special buy. I am so bad about working out and often just cancel with relief I don't have to go. I didn't go as often as I should have during the month, but that is on me. Barre is very low-impact, which I love, but it is still a workout and you do sweat. Grip socks are recommended and they sell them there. A perk of this location is it's right by BBW and Whole Foods! read more

Wow. I love this place and their classes. If you're looking for a challenge, I recommend taking Taylor's Monday night classes or Sammie's Wednesday empower. Those classes kick my butt. I swear I can see abs coming in. The studio is clean, each station is 6 ft away from each other and everything is sanitized thoroughly for those concerned about covid. If you're looking for a workout that challenges you, changes you and pushes you every. Single. Time... this is it!! read more

I attended my first ever Pure Barre class on Tuesday. I was warmly greeted by the ladies in the lobby/shop area and signed my waivers, bought a really awesome pair of sticky socks and went into the studio to get started. Having a gymnastics background really helped me get a hang of the movements, without having an introduction to the workout first. The instructor, Nicole, was very friendly and upbeat, constantly helping to shape the exercise formations if anyone was ever just slightly off. She was super encouraging, letting us all know we were doing a great job. This workout goes by FAST. I am NOT the kind of person who enjoys working out (at least I wasn't before.. Pure Barre just might be the workout to break that!) and usually working out feels like its dragging on and never ending. I was shocked that the class was over so quickly, but looking back and realizing just how much we did- we were all swept up in the exercises and stretches to have any care about the time. This is one hell of a workout. I felt great after leaving, I wasn't even all that sore yesterday. My muscles were immediately tired, and the shaky leg was ever present. Today (my second class is this evening- wish me luck!) my whole body hurts. You know you've gotten a solid workout when the muscles above your ribs are screaming in pain. I'll make sure to stretch and drink plenty of water today before my class tonight. I am FINALLY excited about working out and that makes my Pure Barre experience even better. read more

I just finished the complete Insanity workout, and I thought this was REALLY tough. That being said, I felt amazing afterwards... And really sore the next day. I disagree with the review about being dressed perfectly and having a $300 bag... I went to the class in a hanes t-shirt and shorts, and was treated very nicely. I would give it 5 stars - but it's just TOO expensive. A month of classes is $100... I just don't think that's realistic for most people. read more

Pure Barre is pricey, but totally worth it. It is expensive, so its not my usual go-to workout. When I need to tone and lift after I've been a little lazy with a workout routine, this place is it. It can be intimidating. Everyone is tiny, superfit, dressed to the nine's in Lululemon and seems to know what the hell they're doing! However, I completely disagree with Arika C, the staff and instructors have always been nothing but helpful in helping me correct my form and answering all my questions about different moves. It's a hard workout, but I literally can see my strength and body improving after every class. I recommend it to all my friends who are looking to try something different to get out of their exercise rut. The only downfall is it's price, but it is definitely worth the splurge! read more

This is the first time in my life that I can say that I look forward to working out! I am pretty out of shape and was worried about not fitting in and not being able to keep up (I have no dance background and am not that flexible). The instructors were so friendly and motivational, that it didn't even matter. They took the time to come around and help give me modifications or encouragement (even taking the time to compliment everyone by name throughout the class), and I can't express how helpful that was. This class is kinda similar to yoga in the sense that everyone is focused on themselves and making sure they are doing the right moves and that helped to make me feel less self-conscious. But in no means is the actual workout easy. It takes a lot of focus to try to get through the shaky leg (still haven't mastered that one), but it is an awesome feeling when you can hang in there for a little bit longer than the class before. I was so sore the next 2 days in muscles that I didn't even know I had, but it was great knowing that I really worked hard! Please beware that your first class can seem a little overwhelming because you are trying to learn the moves, but I promise it gets better! By my second class I was already more confident. I would highly recommend Pure Barre for anyone, no matter their fitness level! Just go in with an open mind and be ready to sweat! Oh, and the sticky socks are totally worth it! read more

If you're already in great shape, perfectly dressed and carrying a $300 gym bag you'll love this place. If you're a chubby girl in sweats they're less than friendly. read more

I went in on a chance trying to find a new workout. The workout was okay, but I've defiantly been to better classes. I bought a new client pass that was a month for $100. I ended up only using it a couple times due to the fact that the instructors and receptionist were rude and condescending. I would not recommend this place. read more

Both the instructor and staff were so helpful on my first visit!! (I had Chelsea and she was fabulous!!) Even the other students in class were friendly...it was a great, positive vibe!! The workout targeted my core and booty. I will continue doing other cardio workouts and do toning with pure barre classes. read more

Fun and challenging class for those of you looking for something new and fresh! Great staff as well!

I attended my very first class at Pure Barre on Friday. I was greeted with lots of love and welcome, not only from the Team but from the ladies talking the class. The instructor, Emily was AMAZING!!! She really took all my fear away about jumping into this new workout. Emily helped me out a lot, I felt as if she gave me her undivided attention. The studio is a nice clean place as well. If your looking to get back in shape this is the place to start. I will be attending again soon, especially with all the amazing packages they have to offer. read more

I don't have enough good things to say about this Pure Barre studio! I am from out of town, here on business, and needed to find my happy place away from home. After wandering in last night for my first class, this is definitely it. From the moment I walked in, the staff was extremely friendly and so warm. I felt like I'd known the girls in there forever. I haven't been to a Pure Barre class (or any barre class for that matter) in about a year, and the teacher yesterday evening walked me through everything I needed to know beforehand. She was supportive during class as well and tweaked my movements for me when they needed it. She stayed a few minutes after class to answer a few questions I had about the movements and was genuinely happy to help and wanted to make sure I felt comfortable. I definitely think it takes a few classes to really get the flow of the class and the different movements (which the teacher echoed when we chatted afterwards as well), but it's one of those classes where I can't wait to get back in the studio and give it another go and get better. Not to mention, my booty is on fire this morning! The studio itself is also adorable as well, and right next to a Whole Foods for dinner after an evening class :) If you've been on the fence about trying Pure Barre out- I'd definitely recommend this studio. You won't feel like an outsider at all and you will want to come back. I also received a phone call this morning from the girls at the studio following up about how my first class was and hoping that I enjoyed my first experience with them. I can tell you I've never received that from a single barre studio I've ever attended- so bravo ladies, keep up the great work! read more

I never thought that I would like, let alone, love Pure Barre, but I gave it a shot anyway. Three years later, I'm still a Pure Barre client. I love the community and the workouts. I've been really pleased with the addition of Platform. I loved the Columbus studios & think that Emily has done a great job building her team. My experiences have been that the staff are always helpful and welcoming. Also, there were quite a few times when I needed to change my class time via email and they were always accommodating. I really can't say enough good things! My husband and I recently moved to a new city and I'm very sad to leave Pure Barre Columbus. I'd highly recommend giving Pure Barre Columbus (any of the studios). read more

Had a great workout! I workout 5-6 days and had my first class that kicked my butt. The instructor was very helpful to beginners. I thought this was a great way to break away from my routine. read more

I have completed ten Pure Barre classes as of tonight and true to their word, I have definitely noticed a difference. I feel much stronger compared to my first class. I enjoy that the classes are the same yet different every time while very challenging! Emily and Cara have made me feel very welcomed. All the instructors are great and encouraging. I'm so glad I joined Pure Barre! read more

Talk about an exhilarating Sunday workout! Before trying Pure Barre, I only had a small bit of knowledge of what it was all about. I am always up for new fitness opportunities and I can honestly say I'm sold on what Pure Barre has to offer. I was greeted with a warm, friendly hello and smile; as a first timer I was directed on what the class would entail and quickly filled out the waivers before being directed into the studio. Shawn was absolutely amazing! Very friendly, informative and offered tremendous amounts of encouragement and feedback on form correction. It's funny how a small, simple adjustment can make such a difference! As a swimmer and runner, I am no stranger to the amount of hard work that goes into staying in shape. I was surprised to find out just how out of shape I have become over the winter months and busy schedule that has been so apparent. In the midst of the workout, I wanted nothing more than a 10 count to be over; shaky legs, abs and arms to boot. However, to my surprise, time flew and I left the studio craving more. Feeling a bit sore the following day is always a sign of a great workout! At the close of class, the full body stretching and relaxed atmosphere certainly give way to quick recovery. I am sold on the Pure Barre experience and look forward to making it part of the routine! read more

Pure Barre is without a doubt one of the best workouts that I have ever done. The staff and owner, Emily are amazing. They are professional, friendly and easy to work with. Each client is treated like family and the instructors enjoy what they do. I have been attending since December 2013 and I don't want to ever stop going. Not only do I feel great when I leave but I also feel stress-free! I love it here! read more
