I'm very objective and have to say the trout was the most superb meal I've had this year away from home. I had to ask how they sourced the fish because I was amazed at how clean, fresh, and flavorful it was. We are both lifelong foodies and skilled cooks so the whole dish service was exciting and not commonly done. The staff were also handling a wedding on the rooftop, but service was excellent regardless. Our waitress really listened to everything we said and ensured our food was served as we preferred. I was also pleased that we're were able to move to an acceptable table away from foot traffic. I would have been bumped on repeat otherwise with the wedding guests coming down. The cheese curds were the saddest, greasiest one I ever had (they were squares not curds) and hit the trash when we got home. Service was good. Not sure what the answer is. Perhaps it is just the taste of the people in the area...they like what they like. The Entrees on the menu were somewhat diverse and it looks like they are trying to upscale a little. Wedge salad is good- not in my top 5 but certainly in the top 10. Made right/ great blue cheese dressing! Personally the red snapper and shrimp was lovely. Crusted with Parmesan cheese the red snapper had a nice exterior. I had double veg and appreciated the asparagus. All the food was great the appetizer was awesome. They happily seated us! The place looked super sketchy on the outside, since it is in the Super 8 building, but their food was absolutely wonderful! The steaks were cooked to perfection, and very flavorful. Each of the four us took cakes and cheesecakes to go. I wish that we would have bought more! The service was wonderful as well! If we ever find ourselves back in Sarnia, we will definitely stop in at Waggs.

We had a wonderful lunch prepared,, ordered and served by students. James was our waiter and he described our experience there very thoroughly. He insisted we take home our bread bowl with a variety of breads all prepared that day by the students. We had delicious Rueben sandwiches ( turkey & corned beef). Lots of food, reasonable prices, and super friendly service. The desserts looked tasty but we were full from our meal. Didn't make it past the dessert case outside of the restaurant. Took home a slice of homemade "bumpy" cake for our daughter. Limited hours & days since it is a school. Changing menus throughout the school year.
