Just absolutely amazing work, and fast. My AC had a pretty big problem, and Bill really did a great job getting it working again, and it has worked better then it ever did. read more

On a day when the temperatures hit 105, our AC unit decided to quit late in the day, sending the temperature inside our house soaring. Despite it being late, Bill came out, diagnosed the issue and got it back up and running much to the relief of our entire family. The fast and friendly service has made me a customer for life read more

No one wants their AC to go out on a 105 degree day but here we were! I put out a call to Purdy Cool, and I didn't expect to hear back right away, but bill called me right back! I was Very impressed with the prompt response and how quickly Bill arrived! He was able to fix our issue and get our AC running like new! Thank you Bill! We will be repeat customers for sure! read more

Bill is a knowledgeable professional who performs quality work at fair prices. We love that he is honest and dependable. He has saved us so much time and money over some of his competitors whom we had dealt with before finding Bill, so we truly appreciate him! We want our AC units taken care of, so bed the only company we call. We highly recommend Purdy Cool!! read more

Prompt, honest, reliable service is to be expected from Purdy Cool. Just request an appointment and he will respond quickly and provide the service that is necessary read more

He installed my air conditioner and and didn't put in a float safety valve that shuts off the system if it ever get's clogged with debri. For some reason this is not a code requirement by building and safety on the bottom floor but is for the 2nd floor. My air conditioner was leaking water for several months during the Summer. I realized it when my flooring started to have small bubbles. A float safety valve costs about $20. Every homeowner should have one. The damage to my home was $20,000. read more

I was going through some paperwork and came across my invoice from this company. It reminded me what sub par work he did. He installed a furnace in my house a couple years back. He said he would get a good one came back with the cheapest one he could find. the installation was okay he left with the stack crooked on top of the house I had to get him to straighten it. The unit was very loud in my home, it still is. I was asking about some silencing material for my duct. He wanted to charge me full charge for an hourly rate to go get the parts. Who charges to get parts? I gave him a second chance when I needed an air conditioner I try to do business local and he is local. I had several people come out. I got estimates from several. His estimate was too high and he is the only one that charged me for the estimate. He didn't tell me up front. I shouldn't have paid it but I did. Make sure you get what you're buying up front. I did go with Viking heating and air those guys are fantastic fair price great work. read more

I highly recommend Purdy Cool for any HVAC needs. We've been relying on him ever since we became homeowners 5 years ago, and his service has been consistently exceptional. He's incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, friendly and reasonably priced. Unlike many larger companies, he genuinely cares about his customers and provides honest, reliable service without pressuring us to replace our very old unit (36 year old unit!). When the time does come for an upgrade, we'll definitely turn to Bill again. If you're looking for a trustworthy, independent HVAC professional, he's the one to call. read more

Bill is fast and fantastic! He has helped us several times over the years with the units in two of our properties. He is always very forthcoming about the details of the job and will often suggest several ways of addressing the issues so I can choose the one that matches our situation and budget. I think Bill is friendly, knowledgable and trustworthy and I feel grateful to have a local expert I can call whenever I need help with my air conditioners. Highly recommend! read more

Bill is a friendly guy. I had him come out a couple times, but expensive diagnostic fee for only 15 minutes of actual work time if you end up not opting for the repair. Parts are cheap, but labor costs are horrendous and don't seem to be worth it unless you're desperate, so I would inquire first for those quoting around for AC repair/services. read more

Heater quit so I made a Hail Mary call for help. Lucky for us that Bill could come look at it that day. Problem was fixed and heater cranking out heat in less than an hour after his arrival. Thank you, thank you, thank you! read more

Such prompt professional svc. My second service call. Was able to resolve issue. I highly recommend this vendor.

I called Purdy Cool on the recommendation of another air conditioning technician. They responded to me quickly and efficiently... asking for pictures and information. They seemed to really care about my problem, and I appreciated the diligence of following through. read more

I recently used this company yet again. I'm going to keep this pain and simple. Bill has a customer for life! He came, repaired and serviced our unit and left. Everything is working to our expectations! read more

Bill made time in his busy schedule to come out quickly to our house to fix our AC unit. Fair pricing, quick trouble shooting resolved the problem the same day. He's got this new customer for life. read more

Our run capacitor failed on our AC unit. Bill charged us $375 for a $20 part that most people can replace in less than 10 minutes. Unfortunately I was away when our unit broke and my wife handled the transaction. I'm a big fan of supporting our local business and paying professionals appropriately for their time and knowledge. I feel that this was opportunistic predatory business behavior taking advantage of an unknowing customer desperate for a fix. I highly recommend looking elsewhere for your HVAC needs. read more

Price was high compared to average rate for the required fix.

We've used Purdy Cool a few times when we had issues with our A/C, & heater. Bill has always provided awesome service. He arrives on time, diagnoses any issues quickly, & performs the repairs efficiently. We recently had an A/C unit that needed to be replaced, & Bill took care of everything in 2 days, at a very reasonable price. We highly recommend Purdy Cool for all your HVAC needs. read more

I lived in the Sant Clarita Valley since 1974. There were just two traffic lights in the whole valley back then. Man how it's grown. Business have come and gone over the years. One that's remained a constant is Purdy Cool. Throughout those years I have experienced both heating and air conditioning problems. The one constant that I have come to depend upon when those issues would occasionally arise has been Purdy Cool. All those issues were affordable and efficiently resolved in a timely manner and there was NEVER an instance when I had to call this service back because the issue had not been adequately resolved. read more

Bill has been keeping my AC in top shape for years. Professional, efficient and more than reasonable rates for instant service. I'd recommend Purdy Cool to anyone. read more

The first time using Purdy Cool yesterday (8/26/21) and I was absolutely pleased with the services provided by Bill. He was flexible in his arrival time as I had to quickly pick-up my kid from school, and was able to assess the problem with my A/C in short order. Bill's friendly demeanor made the conversation easy. He has a quick-wit too! Nearly as quick as mine, which made the experience that much more enjoyful. At my first chance I will recommend Purdy Cool to someone when I know they need an HVAC professional! read more

This guy will take your lunch money. Untrustworthy and will take advantage of you. He charged my unsuspecting wife $400 to replace a $20 part. She had small kids and the air condition out and he saw $$$. I understand that people have to eat and certain times of the year there is better times to make money but this was a flat out robbery. read more

He did a Purdy good job -- great and honest service! Came with a mask and serviced our units in a timely and professional manner. We highly recommend :). read more

Dont look anywhere else. Honesty, timely and just a good guy. Thank you Bill! Btw this is the second time im using his services and completely trust him read more

We have used Purdy Cool for over 13 years. Bill's high integrity is reflected in his business. He has always provided honest and upfront advice. He does his best to address our needs as soon as possible. I am always impressed with how he cleans up his work area. Today was the day that the old unit was no longer repairable. We are very happy with the choice and installation of our new unit. Our only regret is that we won't see Bill for 5 to 10 years! read more

Purdy Cool - So excited to get my new unit! - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me - Santa Clarita, California

We lost our A/C in the late afternoon on the hottest day of the year. I reached out to Purdy Cool the next morning along with other local businesses. Some advised they were booked up solid and couldn't arrive for several days. Purdy Cool (Bill) came to our house within a couple of hours that same morning and fixed our condenser within an hour! We had a cool house that afternoon and were very pleased with Bill's service! read more

Bill came through when another venting company I had booked was a no-show. He came by to look at the AC unit and furnace for maintenance before the summer heat waves. Everything checked out ok. He also repaired a broken PVC pipe in the furnace. Honest, direct, friendly, and knowledgeable. Aside from that, we remove our shoes at our home. My only gripe was that Bill said he couldn't remove his shoes because his "insurance didn't cover it." Most repairmen who come to our home and decide to keep their shoes on have some sort of disposable shoe covers to wear for sanitary purposes. Would appreciate the same sort of care, so please take note of that suggestion for homes that keep their shoes off :) Thanks, Bill. read more

After calling several other services with great Yelp ratings and being given large "windows" of time that they could come out that did not work with my schedule I asked a few neighbors. Everyone recommended Bill and Purdy Cool. Gave him a call, he was very flexible and understood our work schedules and was able to work with us for a time. He checked our system and got it running cooler than it had been. Very happy to have had him give our A/C a check up with the heat we have been having as no one wants the air to go out when it is over 110 degrees. We will call him again should we need it. read more

Bill came to my house this afternoon and it was after 4 o'clock when nobody else would come over so I really appreciate the work he did and he did an awesome job! He was very honest and just did what needed to be done and charged a very reasonable price, I'm so glad I found him thanks Bill,,!!! read more

With regard to JASON O. and his review: he is leaving out facts and his issues are false. He was quoted a price through his wife by phone and had the option to say YES do the work or NO thank you. He wanted to use his own parts for the replacement which is never done because there is no way to stand by the repair not knowing the condition of the parts. If JASON O. was such an unknowing victim, why did he have replacement parts in his garage. He is clearly not telling the real story and trying to harm Purdy Cool A/Cs reputation as a vindictive act. Some people are just cheap. The overhead for a truck, tools, specialty equipment, labor, time to figure the job and bid it, driving time, insurance, gasoline, phones, advertising, picking up equipment and supplies, office supplies, rent etc. are part of the cost of a repair or new installation. That is business. Hopefully there is enough left to put food on his table and take care of his family. We are also paying for the knowledge and expertise that 30+ years in business provides. Don't listen to sour grape cheapskates. Entitlement mentality is running rampant for free stuff and "let the government or big buiness pay for it". I have used Purdy Cool A/C for more than ten years and you could not find better quality work or a more honest guy to deal with. read more

I called Bill Purdy last week when my AC wasn't keeping up with the heat. I got a recording that he was on vacation until the following Monday. I left my number and to my surprise, he called me back that evening and said he could arrange to come out the Monday he got back from vacation, (which he did!). He thoroughly went through my system and gave me good advice on how best to use my AC during the hot days of summer. I have used Bill Purdy before and he never tries to upsell me on a new system when he feels the current system will work just fine. He is honest, fair, and an expert HVAC Professional. I highly recommend him to anyone needing air conditioning help. read more

Our air conditioner went out on the first hot day of the season. I called Purdy Cool and boy and I am happy that I did. Bill provided an estimate over the phone and also gave a time frame (same day) to come fix our unit. He did everything that he promised. If you are looking for someone that is honest, professional and knows what he is doing I hope that you consider giving them a call. We will only use his services from here on out. read more

This review is specific to their customer service: Called Bill yesterday afternoon around 4:00 because my thermostat stopped working. He said he had an opening in his schedule and was able to see me. By 4:45 he was at my doorstep. I loved how prompt he was. He examined my a/c unit outside and then the thermostat inside, and to his diagnosis it was just a very old, worn out thermostat that needed replacement. And so we did just that. By 5:45 he was all done and out the door. I was very satisfied with the speed and professionalism Bill has. He charged me $250 total for the new part and labor. Whether that is reasonable and fair i really don't know for sure. I'd still have to do research on that. read more

Having had a new air condenser installed in August 2013, imagine my surprise when it stopped blowing cool air in August 2014! Bill Purdy responded quickly when I asked for a diagnosis and cost. I selected Bill and we scheduled the coil installation. He showed up today as scheduled and completed the job in the time he said it would take and helped even more by recommending I relocate my upstairs thermostat and a few other things. He also kindly did a huge favor for me! Bill will be doing my heat/air maintenance from now on. Service men and owners don't always add the personal touch to their service. Bill is a great guy, very open, friendly, but all about getting the job done and pleasing the customer. Trustworthy, safe, and competitive pricing (really, he saved me over 2k from another analysis and quote)!!! Hire Bill for your heating and cooling needs! He's the man! These 5-star ratings were earned! read more

Very honest and helpful AC professional. Bill answered questions and advised more affordable repair options when other AC companies tried to upsell us by saying I needed a completely new AC unit installled because repair on existing system was "not possible". read more

Unfortunately, i did not have a pleasant experience. We spoke on the phone and I was told $100 for the service call will be used towards the repairs, plus the cost of parts. Except, he wanted to charge $350 for a$15 part. When I called him on it, he said: "That is my price". Not a fair person. Most of these 5 Star reviews must be fake! read more

Bill Purdy has been my AC guy for at least 2 1/2 yrs and he is the absolute best! Today i had no appt, but needed help with my thermostat and temp is 114! Yikes! He was here in no more than 2 hrs and kept me updated with his time schedule so I knew when to expect him! He has always been fair with his prices, professional and patient knowing I don't know the first thing about air conditioners! Today was no different! I had him install a thermostat with WiFi so I can control temp from anywhere and I love it! Thanks Bill! read more

I've used Purdy Cool before and have always been impressed. My air conditioner wasn't working yesterday and it hit a record 116 in Santa Clarita.
