Pupusatime has some tasty authentic dishes, the pupusas are flavorful and fresh. It's the kind of comfort food that makes you appreciate small, family run spots. This is a mom and pop operated shop and loved the out of the country home like feel. The customer service could use some improvement. The staff wasn't very attentive or welcoming during my visit and it felt like I was more of an interruption than a guest. A smile or a bit more engagement would go a long way in making the experience more inviting. I have high hopes for my next experience due to this being a holiday weekend, they were probably slammed. With a little boost in hospitality, overall I would visit Pupusatime again.

Ever since visiting El Salvador and trying pupusas, I have been in a roll to find some authentic versions locally. This restaurant is cozy but mighty comes closest. The cashier is easy going. I phoned in an order for a pupusa de pollo and a pupusa de asada. Both were hot and ready when I arrived for pick up. Although both were filling and delicious, I enjoyed the chicken more. Parking wasn't a issue for me. I parked across the street on the cul-de-sac, the park is in front and walked to the restaurant. I would definitely return to this restaurant when I am craving pupusas.

What a great find, thank you fellow yelpers for the recommendation! Hubby and I were craving pupusas on a Friday night and living in Aventura means our options are very limited. Luckily we found Pupusatime which was about 20 minutes away, and we've become immediate loyal customers after the first visit! We ordered the shrimp tacos and they were chef's kiss! Handmade blue corn tortillas, shrimp cooked to perfection topped with a delicious sauce-- SO GOOD! We also ordered cheese and bean pupusas that were unbelievable! Not "doughy" ( I know they're not made with dough, it's masa-- but some places tend to make pupusas too thick and lack filling) and bursting with filling, some of the best pupusas we've tried! Their curtido (salad) and sauce was fresh, flavorful and the perfect topping. The locale itself is pretty small, but decorated bright and beautifully. There are a few barstools/bar area and a table, making this the perfect "to go" spot. We ate here but while we waited, 4-5 customers who had ordered ahead, which we will do as well in the future. The staff was very nice, and so helpful. I'm so happy to have found this spot!

My wife and I went to eat lunch/dinner based on a recommendation. This is a small place to get food to go with limited space inside. When you arrive, parking, maybe a little difficult to find, but you can park by the park. Inside, is quaint and the menu is right in front of you. Once you place your order you go to the cashier and take a seat at the table or any of the chairs. if you're looking for fast McDonald's service, you need to be patient as orders are made by hand. We ordered a mix of items and pupusas were delicious and nicely seasoned. They even give you different toppings that will pack their own heat. We ordered the shrimp tacos, and if you like items, you will definitely get a kick out of that one. I am not a fan of spicy items, so I only ate one of the tacos, but it was nicely seasoned. Lastly, I had a tamale which chicken and it was on point. As I stated, this place is meant for takeout, no big groups, and no animals. You will get authentic El Salvadoran food by hand and it will not disappoint. I definitely recommend going and trying this place out.

Wow! These pupusas are super fresh and yummy. I went with the classic cheese but the staff let me try some of the Birria Pupusas and OMG. Such a delicious pupusa. The birria pupusa is shredded beef and cheese and comes with a beef based dipping broth that is to die for. Pupusas's are like a grilled cheese but made with corn, like an arepa but thinner and yummier. The cheese is gooey and it's served with pickled vegetables like onion/ cabbage. It also comes with a fresh tomato salsa/puree. The Horchata was on the sweet side but super bomb as well. Check this place out! You won't regret it!

This place is definitely worth a stop. The pupusas were freshly made while I waited under 10 min. Interesting interior tucked in between a tech shop and smoke shop.

I've ordered from here twice through delivery and each time it was amazing! Great size and filling, great price as well. You really can't beat the value. I actually just ordered for the third time tonight as I'm writing this review

Very good food and I must say that it was my first time there and I was impressed with the cozy place. Good is done freshly and yes, it can take a bit but I don't mind waiting for good and fresh food. Pupusas tasted super good and delicious.

Mixed Pupusa and Pupusa de Asada. Both were amazing. The sauce and Curdito Slaw mix were excellent.

Awesome tacos and pupusas. Tacos were Mexican street style with homemade tortilla, meat, onions (on side) and cilantro. Salsa Verde was homemade and awesome. They even threw in a couple roasted peppers on the side. The steak and chicken were both perfect. The pupusas were out of this world good. Cheesy and meaty with their fresh red sauce and the traditional pickled cabbage carrot jalapeño slaw, it's not spicy. They even had chicken tenders and awesome fries for the kid, $8.00. The tacos were like $3-4 each. And the pupusas were $4-5 each. They also had the Mexican sodas, $3 so good. Order ahead for take out or you'll have a nice chill 15 min wait as they make it to order fresh. Be prepared to use google translate or speak basic Spanish. If I can do it you can, it's worth it.

Very small place. Had to check it out based on an ig post. And since it's near my house. I decided one night to try it out. I ordered the pan de pollo and it was decent, definitely had some flavor. Very filling as well. I couldn't finish all of it within one sitting. Had plenty of veggies in it. It was an interesting sandwich for sure. I just hope to try their pupusas for next time as well. It was a bit of a wait for my food. Other than that it was nice.

From the outside, the building looks a little run down but once inside you could never tell. We ordered the Super Antojitos Atlakat. My friends complimented the crispness of the pork belly. The meal was filling for 3 of us with left overs. Seems like they have a great lunch menu and the prices are very reasonable.

When I arrived, I was surprised they had more tables than I was expecting. There wasn't a wait, but it was full. They also have counter seating with a tv if you're into that. I ordered pupusas "revueltas." For those who might not know, a pupusa is a traditional Salvadoran dish made from thick corn tortilla stuffed with a mixture of ingredients. "Revueltas" or "mixed/scrambled" which I ordered is a combo of beans, cheese and pork mixture which is blended and filled inside the pupusa. It's served with a type of cabbage salad and tomato sauce. So good. I also ordered a tamale which was delicious as well. This is my go-to place when I'm looking for Salvadoran. Try it!

La Casita Salvadoreña, ubicada en Commercial Boulevard, es el clásico hole in the wall que parece discreto por fuera, pero por dentro te da una bofetada de sabor (con cariño ). Las porciones son absurdamente buenas. No sales lleno... sales derrotado. Si no has ido, ve. Si ya fuiste, sabes que digo la verdad. Y si sales con hambre... hiciste algo mal.
