We found Penny's. This place was amazing!! The owner, I think her name is Barbara, was so kind and truly pampered our fur baby. She actually sat in her bed with her to comfort her and even read to her! Edna's room was comfortable and sunny and had relaxing music playing. If this place was near where we lived, we would use it exclusively.

Animal-loving staff. And dare I say, very reasonably priced at $25/ night. They could be greedy and charge more, because they're worth it, but I'm grateful for the value. They require vet records and don't mix dogs from different households. That seems basic practice, but it's not so with other kennels I've visited/ interviewed. Our two Pomeranians had days worth of poop dried to their backside. It was so bad one lost hair in the area and his skin was weeping, he is still healing almost a week later. The dogs were never given their beds (they still smelled like detergent from home with zero fur on the beds) and one of the other dogs was never given his medicine. We also had an unopened bag of treats they were never given. Their paws smelled like poop and they were severely dehydrated. White tongues and they drank an entire bowl of water the second they got home. When we voiced our concerns to the owner, we were screamed at and hung up on. A week later and one of our dogs developed pancreatitis which the vet believes may have been caused by severe stress and less than poor living conditions while borded. I would never recommend this place. My heart hurts for the absolute fear and neglect they caused my dogs. Shaking and severe shedding. A truly despicable place. Mind you, the photos are after one of the caretakers used about 10 baby wipes to clean his backside.

Her and her sister were both sick and left in a kennel with diarrhea all over them and their blankets. I have had a sleepless week taking care of my poor fur babies. There are a lot of hoops to jump through depending where the International travel is too. COVID has added additional restrictions and Veterinarians are relying on Fur Baby's to get the correct paperwork completed for the dogs before travel. Travel restrictions are very fluid as the pandemic adds restrictions not only for people but for their adorable pets as well. The whole staff are very nice and professional. At last minutes notice our pup an Australian Shepherd named Maverick was boarded at the facility,…read moreand we greatly appreciate that. He had to stay one day longer than expected, and we greatly appreciate that. Upon arrival on 12-23-25, I was informed that he had a small injury due to an incident with another dog while playing. I would like to pause here and say that I had no problem with that. It's within a dog's nature for incidents like this to happen. Though I did not appreciate the attempt to charge me for medication that was needed because of the incident; I didn't make a fuss. I settled in my mind we would not be a repeat customer. I was told that he needed antibiotics to prevent "possible" infection. Maverick has had an injury more severe than this ( I shared this information with the dr) I was sure we would be able to take care of him to prevent the possibility of infection. On our ride home he had an odor. No problem agin. We have a groomer that makes house calls. He was not himself, very lethargic and wouldn't eat. After watching him late into the night I realized that infection was already set in, and this is what the familiar odor was. This is where the problem begins. The lack of care. Maverick needed care before 12-23-25 and did not receive it. I was told by the dr his injury was only noticed when he was being prepared to leave. I can only speculate the injury had to occur on day 1 or 2 of him being boarded with Fur Baby's. Not only was he not cared for; he was overlooked. I was told that I was responsible for any care or medication he would receive for an injury that happened during his stay. If Fur Baby's was only a grooming and boarding facility I may have been alright with that, but the fact that this is a vet hospital posses HUGE concern. He had to have a health assessment upon arrival, and as records should show he was completely fine, and should have left in the same condition he came in. We can only be thankful that we knew how to provide wound care and had resources to get the antibiotics needed. I was told that this is not standard treatment, but for some odd reason on this day all customer service, compassion, and responsibility for an animals wellbeing just flew out of the window. While in the office I was gaslighted and brushed off. As to say the problem is mine, and was told that Fur Baby's didn't have any responsibility due to the fact that Maverick was an intact male. AGAIN the incident is not what I take issue with. It's the lack of care. We have performed wound care and given him antibiotic since 3am 12-24-25. That's 5 days so far, and have several pictures, and are willing to share with anyone. I
