    Lamb Samosa (2 pc)

Came here for dinner around 6:00pm and were able to get a seat right away. This restaurant is quite large, so there was plenty of space. 3 other tables filled up around 6:30pm. Staff and Service: - Our waiter was kind in answering our questions about size of dishes, recommendations, etc. Food: - Chicken Korma: with kind of a nutty taste from the cashew, this dish was new for me, but delicious! Each piece of chicken was quite large - Chicken Curry: classic curry, delicious as always. Each piece of chicken in this curry was also quite large - Rice: each curry comes with a large dish of basmati rice. We got two curries for 3.5 of us (3 adults and one toddler) and the two rice dishes were too much (excellent problem to have). We finished maybe one total dish or a bit more than one (we did also order naan though) - Garlic Naan: my, oh my, this smelled delicious. A good side to order if you like garlic - Lamb Samosa: comes with two pretty big and packed samosas. As someone who doesn't like lamb, I did enjoy this dish. It tasted more like seasoned ground beef. It does have a little kick to it Miscellaneous: - Parking is available via street parking - Good for groups of various sizes from small to large - Lollipops available for kids after

Came here for the lunch buffet. Parking can be difficult as it's located on the street without off-street parking. Service is average and the staff does a good job making rounds. The chutney here are really good and they provide a good variety with onion being my surprised favorite with a kick to it. The chicken can be a little dry but the flavorful sauces make up for it. I really enjoyed trying everything and using the naan to soak up the curries.

Lunch buffet review: we came around 1pm on a Sunday. All the food in the buffet was warm. However none of it had been refilled recently. We were in the restaurant for 30 mins and the only thing that was refilled was the naan and somosas. I tried every dish and all the chicken was overcooked. That said, the flavors were really good In all the dishes. I just couldn't get over the dry chicken though. Their chutney is some of the best I've ever had. They have some soup and chi as part of the buffet which was nice. Overall I wasn't super impressed.

It had been a while since we had food from a Panjabi Indian restaurant and were looking forward to the experience at Punjab Cafe, but it was rather a surprisingly disappointing experience. We ordered the Lamb Masala (lamb marinated in yoghurt and cooked with herbs), Butter Chicken (staple at a Punjabi restaurant), a tandoori roti and a garlic naan bread. The curries were surprisingly very disappointing. The lamb masala gravy was heavy on cream and low on flavor. Even a medium plus spice level hardly felt hot. The meat pieces were ok. The butter chicken was also very low on spices and hardly packed any heat. And who puts raisins in butter chicken!!! The naan bread and tandoori roti were very dry and hard. Overall disappointed to visit again.

This is my new go to spot for Indian takeout! Their lunch menu is pretty extensive with over 15 different options for only $11. I ordered directly from their website. This restaurant is right past the Goodwill and there is easy street parking. I got the chicken masala (extra spicy) with white rice lunch special it was delicious! It felt like a good deal as usually Indian food goes for higher prices. For lunch on the weekdays, their is a thali (round platter) special available that comes with 7 items for $17. They have a buffet option on Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 - 2:30pm for $19.95. The service was quick and friendly, my order was ready without 10 minutes! The lighting inside is dim with classical peaceful Indian music in the background. I will be back here due to their good quality and cheap lunch specials.

I cannot believe I've never been here until now. Actually, yes I can. I'm someone who is loyal to a place if I tried and loved it. For Indian cuisine, I only go to one place in the South End, Mela. And my friends have been accommodating me by going there when we decide on Indian. However, I've heard them talk about Punjab Cafe and I just go yeah yeah yeah. My husband randomly took me here since we were nearby. I had zero expectations of this place. Upon entrance, there is an area where all the awards they've received were. Then, we were greeted with a smile. We tried a cod pakora, garlic naan, and three curry entrees. The curries were very tasty. But that garlic naan, is HEAVEN. I've never had better naan than this! It was so fluffy. I can't stop thinking about it. If you're in the area, you have to do yourself a favor and try them out!

Restaurant is still take out only. Luckily it is the best Indian take out in Quincy. All the entrees are well seasoned and you get plenty of rice on the side. I forget the name of the dish but the cauliflower was my favorite. Chicken Tikka Masala hits the spot.

Vegetable samosas, hot paneer masala, and chutney sides

Caved into my Indian food craving, and so glad to have finally tried Punjab Cafe! My partner and I ordered vegetable samosas, hot lamb saag, hot paneer masala, chicken biryani, garlic naan, and aloo parantha - TASTE: 4/5 - everything was wonderful! My favorites were the strong garlic & cilantro flavors in the naan, potato stuffing in the aloo parantha, and spinach-y savoriness of the lamb saag. The biryani was just alright. The chutney sauces on the side were great complements to everything. Note: we ordered the saag and masala as "hot," but neither were that spicy. Will definitely select the hottest option next time! TEXTURE: 5/5 - the samosas were perfectly fried, the lamb was tender, and paneer was chewy PRICE: 4/5 - prices were a little more than I expected, but solid for the amount of food we got SERVING SIZE: 4/5 - ordered this for Friday night dinner, and still had plenty of leftovers! SERVICE: 4/5 - easy to order on the Toast takeout app, and our food was ready 10min earlier than indicated PARKING: 4/5 - some lot spaces available, as well as street parking, for a quick pickup

The ambience is clean and comfortable. The food is terrific! I have dined here many times with many friends and coworkers. When we're indecisive about where we want to go this place is always a top choice. I have tried many dishes here and have never been disappointed with the quality of the food. In all honesty, there may have been some flavor combinations that I didn't like her. Perhaps a dish was too spicy, but that is more a personal preference than a statement about the quality of the food. I tend to like heat so I do like spiciness. However, when I ask for a little spice, my understanding of what constitutes a little spice is not always the same as the chefs. Sometimes I think my face will catch fire so I have to say please just only use mild spice. Lol. One of my go to dishes is chicken, tiki masala, butter, chicken, garlic, vegetable, samosas, and butter nann soft leavened northern Indian flatbread. It is simply delicious to dip pieces of this into the tiki masala sauce. Also delicious is the mango lassi. I have not tried this sweet creamy ice cold refreshing beverage you don't know what you're missing! The mango lassi is made with fresh mango, plain yogurt, a little bit of cream or milk, and a little bit of sweetener and a sprinkle of cardamom. It is highly addictive. I have on many occasions ordered a mango lassi to go with a side order of just a cup of ice. I like my mango lassi is super icy and cold. The vegetable samosas are so enjoyable that my family often orders several to go for a nighttime snack. Samosas are crispy, fried Indian pastries filled with a spiced savory mixture mashed potatoes, peas, ginger, green chilies, and spices like cumin, coriander, and garam masala. All in all, the Turmeric House is wonderful.

My guess as to why this place doesn't get the same recognition as other restaurants is because it is Indian food. The food at Tiranga is all authentic Indian street food. But if you go expecting to get an authentic sandwich, the type you get on the streets of Bombay, along with Maggi ketchup, this is your place. Their live Pani Puri is also an authentic experience.
