This is a new addition to pacific highland ranch neighborhood... adjacent to the middle school and high school. there is a skate park and a playground in the same park...this is a pump track (intended for bikes)... I think it is a great concept and am really happy to have a place for the kids to ride locally. tons of grass for parents to hang out (they even have picnic tables inside the gates which i imagine will eventually be pulled out...not safe at all!) here's the issue... it is a public unsupervised park....that's fine... the issue is that there are older people (i'm guessing early 20's) who are not following the rules and posing a danger to the young kids here. yesterday there was a group of boys who even showed up with glass beer bottles and skateboarded around with beer bottles in hand! they left the bottles just lying around... there are kids as young as 5 riding here! (mine are teens and were bothered by some of the element that was here). i am really happy to have this park here but i am hoping the one's who are bringing the alcohol and drugs to the park decide to start hanging out elsewhere...or maybe the police should swing by every once in a while =) we will be back

    Small nice skate park.

Cool little hidden skate park. Not as big as others in the area but far from the beaten path. It was very busy probably because of the high school and middle school on the same block. Something a little different to skate. Checknit out if you are in the area. Don't go out of your way, their aren't too many good features, it is very small.

Well-designed and smoothly constructed, this place offers loads of fun for bikers, skateboarders, and scooter riders (it appears the latter two originally weren't allowed, but are now). Practice tricks and learn some new skills no matter your age - young and old alike can enjoy this track! I highly suggest going on a weekday morning or early afternoon if you can, as evenings and weekends may get quite crowded.

Nice clean skate and basketball park. They had signs indicating to wear a mask. There are 4 basketball courts with nice clear white lines.

Pacific Highlands Ranch Pump Track on a sunny San Diego day!

The Pacific Highlands Ranch Park has many really outstanding amenities, but to top it all off, it has a fantastic pump track! Make that 2 tracks! Park amenities: 1. Outdoor and indoor basketball courts 2. Skating arena (for those who are not afraid to fall!) 3. Large soccer field area with a sand track around it 4. Out-door gym stops with beautiful landscape 5. Large picnic canopies and restrooms 6. Dog park area, with water spout 7. Last but not least: 2 awesome pump tracks! The few times I have been, they were not too crowded, and there were a few times, where they were almost empty. Most of the people have a great attitude and are attentive to the young beginners, who can really get a kick of all the bumps! All the above are clean and well maintained, and there is ample parking on the street and at the nearby school parking lot during the weekends. I truly wish more parks were this well maintained and treated by everyone!

This is easily one of my favorite places on earth to be at. I know I'm not the only one who feels that. I drive from Orange County to come out here & ride around, the drive is absolutely worth it every time. A lot of the same people come here consistently & it's created a family like atmosphere & I've made amazing friends. We're all so bummed it'll be closed for the next 6 months. From what i've experienced everyone at this park has been so respectful & when there's kids on the track us adults are normally able to go around them or crash ourselves instead of running them over lol. There's room for everyone here & Ive never experienced disrespect just a lot of encouragement & fun. Can't wait til it reopens.

Loved it. Cool area. Little of everything. Something for everyone. Can get crowded and unsafe but worth the risk

What an amazing skateboarding experience. We should have one of these in every city with a population over 50,000.

There is ample parking in a lot and go up a small hill towards the rec center. When we came into the center, the basketball courts were decided into 2 halves. The group of about 10-12 kids played for about 45 mins. The basketball coaches were very nice and welcoming. We enjoyed the coaches and how encouraging they were to the kids. Outside the rec center is a playground, fields, and picnic areas. There were games happening, Zumba, and kids playing on the playground. This place wasn't crowded when we went but I am sure this place gets crowded when it's warm. Nice place to have a party as well. There are bathrooms available and the library is right across the street. Nice place to check out if your kids are in need of a play to play, join sports, or have a party.

Well Leucadia Oaks…read morePark is close enough to the beach to give you that clean crisp air but far enough so you won't be bogged down with parking or other patrons. You can have an enjoyable morning or afternoon visit with your kiddos and be fresh enough to grab a bite and move onto your other adventures for the day. This playground has a variety of structures including slides, swings, climbing rings, and stepping platforms in addition the abundance of sand. In addition, there are plenty of benches and picnic tables for shared meal outdoors as well as a basketball hoop and skate park for those looking to take a break from the sand. For those looking forward to playing with sand, well you're in luck! They have an accessible water station (filtered water too for drinking) to help add that extra rigidity to your sand castles. There's a bit of grass for running but not a whole lot for field play. Otherwise, it's still good for picnicking. The park is rather quiet and it seems mainly locals come out here (most walked to and from the park). With that said, there's plenty of parking along the side of the park should you decide to commute out here. Overall, this park was pleasant and allowed our kids to experience sand as if they were at the beach and also play on a classic playground. Great place to soak in some sun for about half to a full hour before lunch or nap time (for the kids but I guess us adults too!)
