Refusing to draft a contract until payment - Florida law requires a written contract for jobs over $1,000. This refusal is a major concern. The total quote was $1700. 4. Name discrepancy - the license belongs to Darwin Fernandez, but Kevin Garcia was the contact person. . There was no confirmation that a licensed contractor would supervise the work. 5. Pressure/harassment - repeated attempts to coerce payment show poor professionalism. 6. Sloppy paperwork - I was presented with a permit for a gas water heater, which I did not have. Zal efficiently replaced a jury-rigged pipe under my kitchen sink, that had plagued me for years. Zal then showed me, & repaired another leak, that a previous plumber had told me he'd fix. From there he discovered the blockage in my drain. Zal did not give up. He kept snaking the pipes until he freed the stubborn clog. This all took hours. Zal worked steadily, & kept his sense of humour. He was kind, & respectful the entire time, explaining any questions I had, & his price was reasonable. Then quoted me $425 for literally just checked the problem but had done NOTHING AT ALL. One thousand question marks??? You can gauge people like this during Covid-19 time? I had other plumbing companies to fix the pipe problems for me never got charged more than $180 and plus this company didn't do nothing. Instead I wrote them a $250 check and that's it, along with this bad review and will never choose this company, also will tell my friends to stay away from this company.
