**Disappointing Experience at Aspen Dental - More Focused on Selling Services Than Addressing My…read morePain** I visited Aspen Dental because I was experiencing significant pain in a back tooth on the left side of my mouth. Unfortunately, I left feeling frustrated, pressured, and completely dissatisfied with the care I received. My experience started poorly when the staff failed to verify my dental insurance, even after I explained that I had coverage and that my insurance information should already be on file from a previous visit--which, incidentally, had also been unsatisfactory. Nevertheless, I paid the amount requested upfront before being taken back for X-rays. Before the X-rays were even performed, I was asked whether I would be willing to pay for a deep cleaning if they determined one was necessary. Looking back, this should have been my first warning sign. After the X-rays, I was placed in an examination room where the dental hygienist briefly reviewed my X-rays, glanced inside my mouth, and informed me that I needed a deep cleaning. Shortly afterward, the dentist came in, briefly examined my X-rays and teeth, and repeated the same recommendation. I specifically asked about the pain that had brought me there in the first place. Rather than providing a clear explanation of what was causing my pain or discussing treatment options, the dentist simply stated that he would prescribe a mouthwash for me to use until I received the deep cleaning. I was then directed to the financial consultation desk, where I learned that my examination and X-rays were covered by insurance, but the recommended deep cleaning would cost over $4,000. After insurance, my out-of-pocket responsibility would still be approximately $2,000. When I asked whether I could have one side of my mouth cleaned at a time to make the expense more manageable, I was told the dentist preferred to complete the entire procedure at once. Instead, I was encouraged to apply for medical financing to cover the cost. Despite my continued questions and concerns, the financial representative seemed more interested in scheduling the procedure than addressing my concerns. I was even told they could perform the cleaning later that same afternoon. At that point, I felt extremely pressured and uncomfortable. I declined the appointment because my immediate concern--the tooth pain that brought me to Aspen Dental--had not been adequately explained or resolved. I ultimately contacted another dental office, where my pain issue was addressed and resolved. **My biggest disappointment is that I went to Aspen Dental seeking relief from pain, but the experience seemed to revolve around selling me an expensive procedure and arranging financing.** I am not suggesting that a deep cleaning was unnecessary, but I expected a thorough examination, a clear explanation of my pain, and an opportunity to understand my treatment options without feeling pressured into an expensive procedure. Patients deserve to feel heard, respected, and confident that their immediate dental concerns are being taken seriously. Based on my experiences, I will never return to Aspen Dental, nor would I recommend them to anyone seeking dental care.

His assistant comforted me during the procedure by rubbing my upper arm, and was very kind to me, bringing me a magazine while I waited. What can I say about the surgeon pulling my tooth out? I admit I was kinda scared beforehand, but I had no reason to be- this man removed the tooth with surgical precision, and did not even pull at my lip once. Dr. Wolf is very talented. Price was also very fair- $145 plus $26 cost of ex-ray. Less than half of the cost of the facility in IL to which my dentist referred me. I am so relieved that I made the right choice and found Northwest Oral Surgeons on my own. Dr. Wolf and his kind staff took an unpleasant experience and made it into a "non-event." He even suggested that I come in tomorrow morning so that he could make sure all was healing right. I am so relieved this is over...

If you like getting your wisdom tooth pulled with ineffective numbing medicine then this is your place! He rubbed a numbing agent on my gums and then immediately proceeded to shoot me before the numbing medicine started to work. Um. No. You're. Not. I demanded that he stop! The nurse removed the nitrous which wasn't working anyway and I high tailed it out of there. If you're searching for a little shop of horrors office experience then please schedule an appointment. First, I've never been to a dentist before, so I was terrified because I heard nothing but bad things about dentists. Coming here, I was immediately at ease! The staff is INCREDIBLE! They are really nice and talk to patients like they're actual people, not customers filling a seat. I felt welcomed immediately! They ask questions about you, not just Q&A over dental needs, so it felt amazing to not just be a statistic, but someone with a back-story. And my dentist was an amazing person, too. He was so soft-spoken, friendly, and wonderful. From the moment I met him, I felt at ease and I completely trusted him with my care. He took the time to discuss what he was going to do, the tools he was using, and he did his best to keep my calm while he drilled, filed, and administered pain killers. He did an amazing job, and better yet, I had NO PAIN whatsoever after my procedure (he said there might be pain) and it was back to business for me. I am actually looking forward to my second visit to finish my restoration because I know I am capable hands. Also, for those worried about the money-end, Distinctive Dentistry does offer financing. As long as I live in the area, I found my dental office.

I loved the counter where you could complete paperwork-so much better than balancing a clipboard and completing it! The hygienist was Very sweet and gentle. Thank goodness because I didn't get nitric. My only disappointments were that they didn't ask for my medications and the supplement for nitric was $75 compared to my previous dentist where it was $15. They gave us a detailed list of what work we needed and costs. I am happy with Dr. Miller and plan to keep seeing her.
