He numbed me and came back about 10 minutes later. From many years experience with dentists, I know when I not numb, so when he started yanking on my tooth, I immediately felt pain and raised my hand. I told him I felt pain, so he gave me more novacaine, but instead of waiting 10 minutes like before, this guy started yanking on the tooth right away! Again, I felt pain, raised my hand and said, "I can still feel that." He was behind me, and I could feel and hear an abrupt move that he made, and then I saw the plastic glasses he was wearing FLYING THROUGH THE AIR AND LANDING ON THE COUNTER ACROSS THE ROOM, followed by him saying, "I'm going to have to come back then!" in an obviously irritated manner. Everyone was very helpful in scheduling and he was made comfortable the day of the procedure as he was very nervous. His procedure was done in under an hour and his recovery pain was minimal. The office checked on him the following morning and the dr was available after hours to answer our questions about some renewed bleeding my son experienced on day two which was a Saturday. The office even called to follow up on that after the weekend. Everything healed nicely.

The surgeon is only there one day a week so I get it. That being said my appointment was at 10 and they told me to come at 9:30. I did that and I wasn't seen until almost 1130. That being said I had a quick x-ray done of my mouth and they were just basically checking to see if my mouth was OK to start doing the implants and make an appointment for that. I am not kidding you I think the surgeon was in the office in my room for about 2 to 3 minutes. He just looked in my mouth and had looked at the x-rays before he had walked in and said oh I understand you're in a hurry to get back to work, your mouth looks fine. We can go ahead with the implants. And that was it. Such a long waiting time to see somebody for like two or three minutes. That was ridiculous. So that's the bad but the good is that they're really nice. Another bad thing is they don't have nitrous oxide so nothing to get you to relax before a dental procedure. They just numb you up and go from there. Though I've recently switched dentist lately and only went to Aspen to get implants. Even my dentist doesn't use nitro sock side. My old dentist did it did make the experience much easier for me to deal with since I have TMJ And it made me relaxed enough to keep my mouth open for a longer period of time.

His assistant comforted me during the procedure by rubbing my upper arm, and was very compassionate. What can I say about the surgeon pulling my tooth out? I was scared beforehand, but I had no reason to be- this man removed the tooth with surgical precision, and did not even pull at my lip once. This guy has talent for sure. Price was also very fair- $145 plus $26 cost of ex-ray. I am so relieved that I made the right choice.

They were going to charge me an outrageous sum ($787)up front despite the fact that both insurance policies were clear on their coverage. I ended up taking my daughter to a competitor in Porter Co. where the practice only charged me $56 for the same procedure (also a good experience but that is another review. Sadly all my metal fillings have now been removed from my mouth, so I can't tune into B96 by tilting my head in just the right direction anymore. The good news is I no longer have to monitor how the stocks I had my HSA invested in are doing, because its balance is 0!!! I can't say enough about how fun and caring the entire staff is and how responsive they are to whatever is ailing you. I loved the counter where you could complete paperwork-so much better than balancing a clipboard and completing it! The hygienist was Very sweet and gentle. Thank goodness because I didn't get nitric. My only disappointments were that they didn't ask for my medications and the supplement for nitric was $75 compared to my previous dentist where it was $15. They gave us a detailed list of what work we needed and costs. I am happy with Dr. Miller and plan to keep seeing her.
