Friendly staff. Doctor was informative but not "sales" pushy. Cleaning experience was great. Explained everything. Would recommend!

**Disappointing Experience at Aspen Dental - More Focused on Selling Services Than Addressing My…read morePain** I visited Aspen Dental because I was experiencing significant pain in a back tooth on the left side of my mouth. Unfortunately, I left feeling frustrated, pressured, and completely dissatisfied with the care I received. My experience started poorly when the staff failed to verify my dental insurance, even after I explained that I had coverage and that my insurance information should already be on file from a previous visit--which, incidentally, had also been unsatisfactory. Nevertheless, I paid the amount requested upfront before being taken back for X-rays. Before the X-rays were even performed, I was asked whether I would be willing to pay for a deep cleaning if they determined one was necessary. Looking back, this should have been my first warning sign. After the X-rays, I was placed in an examination room where the dental hygienist briefly reviewed my X-rays, glanced inside my mouth, and informed me that I needed a deep cleaning. Shortly afterward, the dentist came in, briefly examined my X-rays and teeth, and repeated the same recommendation. I specifically asked about the pain that had brought me there in the first place. Rather than providing a clear explanation of what was causing my pain or discussing treatment options, the dentist simply stated that he would prescribe a mouthwash for me to use until I received the deep cleaning. I was then directed to the financial consultation desk, where I learned that my examination and X-rays were covered by insurance, but the recommended deep cleaning would cost over $4,000. After insurance, my out-of-pocket responsibility would still be approximately $2,000. When I asked whether I could have one side of my mouth cleaned at a time to make the expense more manageable, I was told the dentist preferred to complete the entire procedure at once. Instead, I was encouraged to apply for medical financing to cover the cost. Despite my continued questions and concerns, the financial representative seemed more interested in scheduling the procedure than addressing my concerns. I was even told they could perform the cleaning later that same afternoon. At that point, I felt extremely pressured and uncomfortable. I declined the appointment because my immediate concern--the tooth pain that brought me to Aspen Dental--had not been adequately explained or resolved. I ultimately contacted another dental office, where my pain issue was addressed and resolved. **My biggest disappointment is that I went to Aspen Dental seeking relief from pain, but the experience seemed to revolve around selling me an expensive procedure and arranging financing.** I am not suggesting that a deep cleaning was unnecessary, but I expected a thorough examination, a clear explanation of my pain, and an opportunity to understand my treatment options without feeling pressured into an expensive procedure. Patients deserve to feel heard, respected, and confident that their immediate dental concerns are being taken seriously. Based on my experiences, I will never return to Aspen Dental, nor would I recommend them to anyone seeking dental care.

They purmt my payment on a City Bank Syncrony card with a very high interest rate. The entire amount was put on a card with a 20+ percent interest charge. I transfered that total to a card with a much lower rate. My upper dentures were being modified to accommodate my mouth structure. The pallet had to be continually recovered to prevent gag-reflux. Finally got to the point when a tech there told me that an upper denture would never work properly. I demamanded an review with the Dr. and the office manager. They decided to reimburse me a percentage of my cost, which was, again, paid in full. I since went elsewhere and now have teeth that work perfectly well, but I still have a monthly payment of thousands left that I still have to pay for the work Aspen Dental couldn't complete. I get upset every month when I make that payment, and equally upset that it was a tech, not the dentist that finally told me that my procedure would never work properly. Please take heed if you need dentures or partials. Let Aspen Dental be your LAST desperate resort. M.Morningstar

A few minutes later I was getting X-rays, and then whisked to the chair. Dr. Shah took a peek and gave a couple options and her opinion on what the best would be. I'm a TERRIBLE teeth grinder and with the case of this tooth and come to find another molar that was broken an extraction was the way to go with plans for a possible partial in the future. Next I met with the office manager when went over the treatment plan, along with cost after insurance. After paying I only had to wait MAYBE an hour where I was back in the chair having 2 molars pulled. Dr. Shah made sure I was completely numb before she started and continued to ask if I'm doing okay. About 45 minutes, a few dissolvable stitches later I was done. Every single person working at Orland I dealt with was amazing. They all seemed to care about their patients and it felt like they all enjoy working there with their coworkers. Thanks Guys!

When I call to re-schedule I'm told they can't even find my appointment even though I was getting a reminder in both email and text. They schedule your cleanings 6 months in advance and then somehow lose the appointment as it gets near. When you call they offer a new appointment several more months away. Save yourself the headache and find a more reliable dentist. What good is a dentist you can't get in to see.

I waited about 3 hrs. without completing my appt. After the scaling, I was placed in a waiting area at 12:30, which became overcrowded by 1pm, due to a lack of seating, with one person standing and one sitting on another's lap. With no update or service, I went to the front waiting area and was told I was "next." I continued waiting until 1:40. Then I was told it would be approx 20 more minutes before I could be seen. Nearly 3 hrs later, I had to leave. More frustrating is that I had received multiple texts and emails reminding me of my 11am appt., yet scheduling was clearly not managed. I understand walk-ins are accommodated, but SCHEDULED appts should be prioritized in a timely manner. Given the excessive wait time and inability to complete my SCHEDULED services, it is unreasonable that I was then offered a rescheduled appt. nearly two weeks later. This reflects poor scheduling and disregard for patients' time. I should have been given priority rescheduling, along with consideration for compensation or courtesy adjustment due to the inconvenience. Marsha Lee

I had an appointment scheduled for tomorrow, and late today I received a call informing me that the office needed to postpone it. Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident. The same thing has happened to me before, and my wife has also experienced similar last-minute changes with this office. I completely understand that occasionally an unexpected situation can force a dental office to reschedule an appointment. However, when it happens repeatedly, it becomes a pattern and reflects poor planning and appointment management. Patients organize their work schedules, family responsibilities, and other commitments around medical and dental appointments. Canceling or postponing appointments at the last minute--particularly when it happens repeatedly--shows very little consideration for the patient's time. I am posting this review because prospective patients should be aware of our experience before scheduling here. The issue is not the dental treatment itself; my complaint is specifically about the reliability of their scheduling and planning. If you need a dental office where you can reasonably rely on an appointment taking place on the date and time scheduled, I would strongly suggest asking this office about its cancellation and rescheduling practices before making an appointment.
