The guys at Renewing Stucco fixed all the ceilings, Sheetrock, baseboard damage throughout the house and even touched up a few other bits and pieces around the house. Their repairs are seamless and you now cannot tell where the damage was. They were professional, staggeringly fast, and cleaned up thoroughly after they were done. I had imagined that the repairs would take a couple of weeks, but they were done in 5 days!!!! I would highly recommended them for any repair projects you have in mind.

However, I only noticed a 6 degree drop in temperature. I informed them of the issue and unmet expectations; only to have their representative re-inspect the house and tell me that there is another separate issue causing my excessive attic temps. When I asked why the initial issue was not identified, the representative just shrugged. From my perspective, I spent $1,800 on a solution that was ineffective and possibly unnecessary. At best, I would say that their solution was misrepresented - but I just feel lied to. Given the experience, I would not trust them with a larger project or recommend them.

He checked in before the crew started working and gave me his cell if I had any issues. I felt terrible bothering him, but we had these rose bushes in the front yard and there were a few shingles that had fallen on just one of the the multiple bushes. I just mentioned it to him and it was immediately gone (it wasn't a big deal and they were being as tidy as possible, but the bush was full bloom and I love roses so I wanted to keep as many flowers as possible!)! He didn't seem bothered or agitated and someone on the crew even apologized to me. I had two smaller kiddos I was concerned about them getting hurt after the replacement, but the crew did a great job keeping the mess as organized as possible and they even did a second check, we had no issues at all after the roof was finished being replaced. I thought Justin, his crew, and everyone I encountered with Fair Claims did a great job. Also, my realtor, whose husband owned an appraisal company, referred me to them. Her and her husband both are very particular and she said they did her personal home, as well as many of her clients' homes and they had never had any issues either. He came out and spent time evaluating my roof and speaking with me about all my options. Houston Roofing and Construction was the only company that was concerned about maximizing my ventilation system. Ryan immediately noticed that my particular roofing system was not sufficient for my house.He pointed out that my house didn't have many ridges, to support the Ridge Vent Ventilation System. He suggested that I go with a turbine system that would maximum my ventilation system that would in return help extend the life of my roof. Ultimately I opted to file an insurance claim which is quite a lengthy process. Ryan offered to come out when the insurance inspector came out to evaluate my roof. He helped me throughout the process and made sure I understood all the roofing terminology. He was an invaluable resource through the entire process. Houston Roofing company is a great choice if you are looking for a superior level of knowledge and service. During the installation, they caused severe damage to my front yard, including destroying a rare and expensive Japanese maple tree. Their method of "protecting" plants was just throwing a tarp over them, which did nothing to shield them from falling shingles and tools. A three-story ladder fell on my shrubs, damaging several, and worse -- it also fell onto my brand-new AC unit, bending the top grill. Since then, the ventilator has been rotating only millimeters away from the edge on one side, at risk of scraping. On top of that, there were permit issues. It took multiple emails and calls from me -- both to the company and the permit office -- to get it straightened out. They tried to tell me that "approval of the drawings" was the same as having the permit approved, which was not true. The confusion dragged out the inspection process unnecessarily. They never offered to fix or compensate for any of the damage. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend them.

I called Done Right Remodeling to get an estimate on some sheetrock repair in my kitchen and…read moreceilings. I had used another painting contractor before, but I needed a second estimate for comparison. **Note: when I called the other contractor for an estimate, he asked me how many cracks I had and gave me an estimate over the phone without seeing what needed to be done. Charlie came by the day after I called to take a look at the work that was needed. I had some pretty substantial cracks in the kitchen area walls and some minor cracks in the ceiling in the kitchen. A few other minor cracks in the walls on the first floor also needed work. Charlie emailed me a written estimate the next day which was lower than the previous contractor I had used. When I called him to accept the bid and arrange for a day to do the work, Charlie told me he could come the following day! Joy! I could get this taken care of ASAP, since we are expecting out-of-town guests next month and I didn't want my house to look like it was falling apart. Charlie and his helper did arrive a little later than expected (minor) the next morning, but they took a short lunch and finished right on time. They were great about clean up and were extraordinarily tolerant of my dogs, too! The work that they did was superb. My walls look tremendous now, especially since I painted yesterday -- my kitchen looks fabulous! What was really great about Charlie was that he gave me a lot of advice. Obviously parts of the ceiling would now need to be painted -- but I didn't want to paint the entire ceiling. He saved the strip that he took off, told me where to take it to match the paint (which they did) and exactly how to paint it so that it would look perfect (which it does). He told me precisely how to paint the repaired areas of the kitchen walls first, and then the whole kitchen so that it would look like the walls had never been repaired -- which it does. And, Charlie talks. I like that in repairmen. When they talk, they tell you things -- stuff you can use. He told me what I could use to revitalize the finish on my cherry-stained kitchen cabinets (even sent me a picture of the product). He had useful information to share about basic home repair. Charlie talked; I listened. Done Right Remodeling is a BBB accredited business with an A+ rating. That's how I found them, and I'm glad I did. With the quick response and reasonable bid I received, combined with excellent workmanship and clean up afterwards (a big plus in my book), I see why he's earned that A+ rating. I would definitely recommend this business and call them again for a repair that I could not do myself.
