    The instructor was amazing, I took myself for my birthday 4/16. So clean, it was such a good workout. 10/10 will be back.

    Such a fun spot to bring to Livermore! I've enjoyed all the instructors I've taken classes with and I love the vibe of the studio!

The owner Josh, is incredibly knowledgeable, has a keen eye for good form and proper technique, and is not afraid to offer corrections, and sometimes spares many a furtive glance in the mirror to fix his hair. ...I mean pilates certainly attracts characters. Which brings me to the deduction of one star. This place is fantastic, but some of the clientele are not. at all. some of these people are so distractingly abhorrent and odious, that it can detract from the work out if you are not locked in. This place is great, but some mean, frivolous, ridiculous women like to collect and compare here. So be forewarned. Don't be intimidated though! Ignore the clowns and their one man circus and enjoy a good workout.

It's clean, well stocked but the stations are very crowded because they keep a stationary bike right up against each Reformer. You have to adjust and move the bikes as you do different motions s not to bang into them. I've had some good and less than classes- Marie Ver Haar and Leslie Velasques were great. They explained things well and checked on everyone for proper form, leaving me feeling like a had a whole body workout and feeling good. Another instructor spent a great amount of time on the springboard/jump board thing. Like A LOT of time. My knee was pretty irritated and the rest of my body was just along for the ride. I won't do that class again. O8verall, this is a nice place with good equipment and some good trainers. I think I'll stick with Marie and Leslie V. for best results. I wish there was a changing room for members to change clothes before or after or at least a place other than the floor to put your personal items while exercising.

They pay attention to each student, guide you with care, and make sure you're progressing safely.I came to GLO with chronic back pain, after just a couple of months of consistent practice, the pain completely disappeared, I feel stronger than I've felt in years. The studio owner Terik is incredibly welcoming and always goes out of their way to make everyone feel at home. That personal touch makes a real difference.     Over three years coming here but I wanted to share a health benefit I've never experienced before …read more All my life I've been lifting heavy weights and I've been fairly muscular for the last thirty years or so. My HDL cholesterol number have always been lower. It has jumped up from the thirties to 62 in the last year after I started more vigorous yoga like sculpt from Moji and Bikram from Jamie.. I'm still able to bench 315 pounds once a week because yoga works on my small muscles . All heavy weight lifters have sore shoulder joints which yoga has helped me overcome greatly . But sculpt and Bikram is not easy especially at 72 but I try my best to get through the class.

Before the session, they take the time to talk with you in such a calm and thoughtful way -- asking about your health, past experience, how you're feeling, and your goals. And it never feels like a formality -- you can tell they truly want to understand you. I really appreciated how they match you with the right class. It never feels like you're just placed wherever there's availability. Instead, they recommend what actually fits you best -- so you feel comfortable, safe, and supported. The sessions themselves are both professional and gentle. The instructors are always attentive -- they carefully watch your form, make small adjustments, guide you, and support you throughout. And they do it in such a kind, respectful way that you feel encouraged, not pressured. One of my favorite things is the small group size. It creates this almost private-session feeling. You're seen, you're heard, and you get real attention -- which is so rare and so valuable. The atmosphere in the studio is incredibly warm and calming. But what has truly kept me coming back is the owner Alina and the community she has built. Alina has a rare gift for making every member feel like family rather than just a paying customer. That meant the world to me during a deeply difficult season of my life when I was navigating infertility struggles. Her classes gave me a sense of connection to my own body at a time when I was really struggling mentally, and that was an invaluable gift. When I finally became pregnant, Alina and her instructor Woo began offering prenatal classes specifically designed to keep both Mom and baby safe. Together, they carefully modify exercises to ensure you can stay active and strong throughout your pregnancy without compromising your baby's wellbeing. And now, I am 4 months postpartum, and Alina has continued to show up for me by welcoming my son to class so I can get my workout in without worrying about him. She even offers "Mom and Baby" classes, making it possible for new moms to prioritize their fitness without having to leave their little ones behind. Pilates Forever isn't just a studio -- it's a community that meets you wherever you are in life. I'm so grateful for Alina and her staff for everything they have created here.

    Aloha, So I've waited 2 months before writing my review…read more I've attended over 50 % of the classes offered at all 4 Joya locations: - Livermore - Pleasanton - Dublin (before the closure) - Blackhawk I initially sign up for 1- month trial for $39.00. After that was complete I waited a week before I sign up for 3 month of all access pass (all access allows use of all locations) . Since I joined in October , I've completed 44 classes. I have attended classes at all four locations. I chose to try Joya because it offers Bikram Yoga, Circuit, HIIT, and more! All of the facilities are amazing. Their facilities are always clean and I love that three locations have showers. I enjoy attending 5:45 AM and 6:00 AM classes. The instructors are always energetic and excited to teach! , Considering most of us get up at like 4:45-5:00 AM to be at class by 6:00 AM. I have not yet attended - Joya Cycle (I have a sciatic issue) - jBarre (availability/classes always full) - jFit (availability/classes always full) - Cardio Blast (availability) - Ariel Yoga II (availability) Again, I can only attend early morning classes due to schedule. I have attended a few weekend classes which there is a ton of availability at all locations. I personally love how intense the HIIT/Pilates and Jcircuit classes are. I really get a total body workout in those classes. I love that Joya offers HOT Bikram in 60min, 75 min, and 90min sessions. I do one of those classes once a week. Bikram has done wonders for my health since I started doing it in. 2014. If you are looking to change up your routine, or to try something new. I highly recommend you doing a one month trial for $39.00 with Joya! I'm rating Joya 5 stars because of the classes they offer, the facilities, and my personal experiences with staff and instructors!     I went with a friend to a Sunday afternoon aerial yoga class! We were so excited to find Joya who…read moreoffered this type of class so we could try something new! Upon arrival we walked in and it was so empty in the front room. We waited a while and peeked around at the merch but no one came to the desk and the class was starting soon so we wandered into the back. We found the only room with silks hanging and entered, the instructor was incredibly off-putting and cold. She didn't welcome us, or even look at us when we approached her to intro ourselves. She scolded us for not checking in properly even though no one was in the building to tell us. She put my friend and I in far apart spots and when we requested to be near each other she huffed. The class itself is a whole lot of fun. Being new to using silks, the instructor explained the movements well and I felt confident in executing new moves. After she felt out the class she even walked us through a more advanced upside down movement. There was one student who was clearly very advanced in aerial yoga/acrobatics so the instructor had him do the majority of the demonstrations.

Keeping me flexible and having a healthy spine and joints for everyday functionality is very important to me. I am in better shape now than when I began (and I am now in my 60's) young or old every BODY needs Pilates! The studio itself has two full rooms with beautifully working apparatus and equipment that is up to date. All of the instructors are Stott Pilates trained. I live in Campbell and drive 45 mins one way every week to get to LVTC to take a private class with Melissa. That's how good she is. I get a first class education. But also I get an awesome, difficult workout that is tailored to me. Melissa is a Stott lead instructor trainer. She trains the people who train the pilates instructors. She is also a physical therapist, but not just any physical therapist. She keeps up on anatomical and medical research then applies that knowledge when she teaches YOU! If you've been to another studio, there's a good chance that your instructor has gone to Melissa for education. Melissa heads the group of highly trained instructors, half of them physical therapists. If you are concerned this is a paid Yelp review, look me up, I'm Jenny Jones from Almaden Valley Athletic Club in San Jose. The studio equipment itself is top notch, all well kept, and the gym is very nice. But the instructors are what really matter.
