Unfortunately I got bit 2 times today for whatever reason they couldn't find blood. Also felt my hematologist could've been a little more animated as opposed to being a zombie today on top of her apparently letting the less experienced person try to draw blood for me. I have come across good hematologists in the past at other Quest unfortunately though not here, won't return.

However, there was one occasion here when they couldn't find a doctor's order, so I left and went back home only to find out that the dude looking things up really didn't know what he was doing. (They called me back and said "Our bad," without seeming to give a rat's furry behind about my time and travel.) More recently, the phlebotomist drew my blood and wished me a wonderful day. The next day, I was informed that my blood "coagulated" and that I would need to return for another draw. I call bull. Though I went back and let them draw again, which was also a painless experience, I let them know that blood doesn't just coagulate in a vile. Not mine at least. (It didn't "coagulate on the second draw.) The truth is, someone mislabeled or mishandled my lab specimens. Why not just admit the mistake? There are other Quest locations around here, and I have and will continue to avoid this one.

They do not accept checks. I did not think to ask if they accept cash or not. I would hope so. Business owners should not pass along the cost of doing business to their customers/patients. That was so easy! I called the morning I wanted to do my labs, made an appointment for an hour…read morelater, took my printed lab form ( I ordered tests online myself) walked in, checked in on their computers. There was a room full of people but the monitor shows the order of appointments. I waited less than 5 minutes . The young man that took my blood was kind and quick, it did not hurt at all. My appointment time was 8:30 am and I was out of there by 8:40.

As soon as she "stuck" me I started bleeding. I knew good and well how this was going to end up. When I was back in my car, I lifted up the pad and it was soaked in blood like you would expect if you cut your finger chopping vegetables with a sharp knife. I also had a purple bubble on the site on my vein which turned into a purple bruise. I took photos but will spare the gruesome details here. Other than that, there was a lady there who became ill from her test and it was obvious they were unprepared for that. They took her in to one of the rooms but for some reason they put the trash can out in the hall so those of us in the waiting room had a birds eye view to her throwing up in the can. Everyone did their jobs exceptionally well and were very caring and polite while doing them. I have had to call on 2 different occasions because my drs office did not send the orders. They were very helpful and took care of the issue for me. My tests are read and results posted very quickly...as in a matter of hours. I had to use another facility last week because Alliance's CT machine was't working. The office manager called ahead and made sure they knew I was fasting and needed to be seen right away. The second facility had a nice staff and I was seen fairly quickly but I am still waiting on the results! That was 4 days ago! Also, as for the wait time, I have never had an issue.
