We are quoted $89 for a washing machine repair. The technician spent 20 minutes, cleaned the filter and ran the washing machine and left. He charged $317. He said he discussed this with me before he performed the Work. He is lying beware of this company. I would not recommend using them at all. I requested a refund. 6/17/24: The electrician came today also confused as to why Puls wasted everyone's time sending an electrician to look at a hot water heater. They said the electricity going to the machine is fine and nothing to do with them...as expected and already known as the one plumber who has been here has already checked the power source to the machine. I called puls at the number I've been communicating with and at the number "Alyssa G" suggested... both incompetent. Approx Week 8 of no hot water and getting the run around. They've spent so much money sending technicians and hiring ppl to respond to Yelp reviews and yet not a single reputable person can be found who can actually fix the problem. Puls keep referencing a "warranty department" but the number I was eventually given to them goes back to the same April/Aimee or whatever. April has zero authority to actually help and her job is to be yelled at all day by angry customers. This company sucks! And I'll keep updating my review until the problem is fixed. Today was the fourth appointment I had to get my dryer repaired. The first time they came, the tech took the dryer apart and said he needed a part. He said the cost would be over $400 and that I needed to pay $135 and he would order the part. He said he ordered it and it would take two days. 2nd appointment was a no show, I called them and they said the part didn't come in and made another appointment 3rd appointment they called thirty minutes after the appointment time to tell me the part didn't come in 4th appointment they called ten minutes before the appointment time to say the exact same thing. No concern for my time or their accountability for lack of timely communication. They just said there's nothing they can do. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. If I could give -100 stars I would. I was literally scammed out of my hard earned money. My dishwasher was not draining because of a clog in somewhere in between the p drain and garbage disposal. I knew what the exact issue was, but didn't have the strength or desire to take it off myself and clean out, so I made a appointment with this company to have someone come out and do it for me. I made my appointment for dishwasher issue, because it wasn't draining HOWEVER, I spoke IN LENGTH with the tech assigned to me about the reason it wasn't draining (clog in p drain), before he came out to assess. I expressed to him that I knew the issue, I just didn't want to do it myself. He agreed and acknowledged the source of the plumbing issue and said he will get it taken care of for me the next day. COOL. He showed up, late, and tinkered around for 15 minutes and proceeded to tell me he was a DISHWASHER TECHNICIAN NOT A PLUMBER AND I NEED A PLUMBER TO FIX THE CLOG IN BETWEEN THE DOSHWSHER AND SINK... AKA THE CLOG IN THE P DRAIN. I paid the service fee, and immediately called customer service. After a run around I was finally transferred to a supervisor who pulled up the messages the tech and I had before my scheduled appointment. He agreed that this was not ok, undeestood my frustration and said My situation is eligible for a refund, he would put the request in and receive it in 48-72 hours. Awesome. I'm happy. Days go by and I have not received anything, then get an email from the "refund team" and they stated that they were "unable to complete the refund because the technician was able to do an onsite inspections where he deemed a plumber was needed." HE WAS A DISHWASHER TECHNICIAN YALL. WHAT THE HECK?! I told this technician and have the messages to prove that he would be able to fix the CLOG in the PIPE connecting the sink to the dishwasher. If he was not a plumber, knew and agreeed to the EXACT issue I was having, why the heck did he say "no problem, I can definitely help you out" when he was not qualified to do so? Why, if he was a dishwasher technician and knew that the sink/pipes were definitely involved in my issue, did he not transfer my request to a qualified plumber? I'll tell you why, BEN THE DISHWASHER TECHNICIAN & PULS THE COMPANY are terrible people, they practice BAD BUSINESS, and are hungry for a easy buck with MINIMAL labor from all sides. Called made appointment for service tech to come out and diagnosis problem with my refrigerator. They did not show or call to cancelled. I Finally got through 2 hours past the service window. They asked same questions they asked when I made appointment ( their long pauses and generic response to my questions prompted me to ask if she was an actual person .... she called herself a virtual assistant. ) She said someone ( service technician) would get right back with me. It's 12 hours later ... have not heard from Puls. Puls ad presents them as a responsive reliable company that values your time as well as theirs which is why I made the appointment. Puls is not I repeat is not a responsive , reliable company. They do not value your time. I would not recommend them to anyone. read more

My family has been without A/C for 4 days and I was told the reason why things are taking so long to get approved is because the person in charge of my claim is on vacation. Very poor customer service. I had their technician come out to service my washer. It was making a knocking sound. He found the issue gave me the quote and agreed to the service ( my mistake). He came back and fixed that issue. After one load my washer began to make a very serious knocking sound. I sent an email to the company with a video of this new sound. They received my new complaint and would get back to me. After 3 days I received a call. It would not be for another 3 days before the same technician could come. I said no way. Found out it was the drum bearing. Now thats not to say this was the original problem I do not know however very suspicious that this happened so fast. I had asked the tech if everything looked good and he said looks very good. Needless to say I had to purchase a new washer for all the repairs would have cost more then the washer. Set up an appointment with Puls online for a repair for an unbalanced washing machine. Repair guy showed up diagnosed the problem. Said he did not have the part and asked us to order the parts on Amazon ourselves. We ordered parts and scheduled him to come back next business day. We paid him $138 on first visit and ordered the parts for $40 on Amazon. Technician Ben Jones never showed up at the two hour window. Puls was very difficult to contact. They were apologetic once I reached them but it seems like they are just a scheduling company for these repair guys. Ben Jones has his own company and uses them for scheduling. Rescheduled for a few days out. Ben called ten minutes before end of window arrival time to say he was heading to us. My husband told him to forget it. He never called us or tried to communicate when he did not show up. Very unprofessional since we altered our schedule for two days and four hours so that he could fix our washer. We are out $178 and have two weeks of dirty clothes and still have a broken machine We are going to buy a new washer rather than deal with unreliable repair services with people who scam you. Never use this service. They are awful. Update: Puls refunded the $138. So Puls seems to be ok yet the technician made bad choices. read more

I hate having to use such foul language but screw this location. Puls was great when I lived in Phoenix. This location is absolutely awful. Today I scheduled someone to come between 11am and noon. I received a text from the tech at 7am to confirm the tv measurements. 12pm rolls around and he says he is 50 minutes away. I said I was ok with that. 2pm rolls around and he rudely texted me asking if I was home because he just drove an hour to my area. I told him I didn't need his service anymore because I expected to come to my location at 11am and if he was only 50 minutes away, why was he arriving around 2pm. I hated to be mean but its frustrating blocking that much of my day away for someone not to show up till 3 hours later. His rating was 2.5 and I can see why. If he texted me along the way and apologized, I would of let him in my house. But for him to constantly ask if I was home and being rude about it. Worry about where your at and why your 3 hours late. I called Puls and decided to reschedule for someone to come out between 5pm and 6pm. He never showed up and he's supposed to now arrive tomorrow. I don't even want their services at this point. Their technicians are not even 5 stars and the emails they send out lie about their rating. Puls only called to try to upsell their membership which I was going to get. Puls here in Houston need to worry about their contractors and kicking them off the platform then getting people to sign up for a membership. I paid for over a year for their services and when the time came for a repair, I needed my refrigerator and the vent over the stove fixed. I was told I'd have to pay 2 service fees of $89 each. This was fine but as I waited for them to show up, they only scheduled one repair. When I went into what I needed done they informed me they didn't cover the vent fan. When I took out the policy I was told it was covered. I decided I didn't want to continue on with their service & for them to cancel my policy. Later on they said they sent me an email for the cancellation, must have gone into spam. Anyway they charged me two more months & wanted to charge me $21.08 cancellation charges. Not a dry reputable company. There sales people will tell you what ever it takes to sell you a policy, and then charge and charge you, to get everything they can from you. read more

My dryer drum wouldn't tumble. I also reported a burning smell. Rafael changed the belt, which wasn't broken. He said it was fixed and showed me it running empty. Well guess what? It runs when there's no weight in it. So we were told we needed a new belt and pulley system, paid $350 for that plus $89 trip charge. Then when I reported the dryer wasn't working, they said they'd send him out again but they took a week to respond and tell me he could get me in 5 days later. Then he didn't show up. I called back and they sent him out again the next day. He agreed the motor was going out. And said he'd be back in 1-2 hours and left. He never came back. I then got a call saying he'd come back the next day. Then they called and told me it would be $370 to fix. Are you serious?? Now we are suppose to pay $800 to fix a problem you misdiagnosed? I asked what happened to the service guarantee. Then they told me they were looking into the situation and nothing. Paid over $400 and the dryer still doesn't work, Puls isn't honoring their service guarantee and I'm so frustrated, I have young kids and no dryer to dry clothes. I want a refund. They never showed up I booked Puls to come and do an install on a Saturday afternoon. I was hosting a party that evening and wanted the TV mounted for my guests. 15 minutes prior to the scheduled appointment I received a phone call the technician could not do the appointment because he wasn't in my area. When I pressed the service person for the reason they said something came up but rescheduled me for the following Monday and promised that I would be a priority customer. 15 minutes prior to when the technician was supposed to arrive on Monday I receive an email they are not coming and they just randomly rescheduled me for another time later that week without checking with me. Stood up twice right before the appointment and they didn't even bother to call the second time. You are rolling the dice when you schedule them to see if they will show up. read more

I called Puls because my dryer vent needed repairs and they showed up recommended on Google. I repeatedly explained while booking that the issue was my dryer vent. When the technician (who identified himself as "Sam"), showed, he told me that the company does not repair dryer vents and charged me $85. Had I known that Puls does not repair dryer vents, I would not have booked. The company also does not take checks, which nobody affiliated with them told me until the technician was in my house demanding that I pay him $85 via credit card. Had I known that Puls does not accept checks, I would not have booked. The technician also failed to inform me that I would receive an email and text allowing me to pay over my own phone. He insisted that I put my credit card information into HIS phone. If I had known that I could have paid without putting myself at risk for credit card fraud by giving "Sam" access to my credit card, I would have done so. Since "Sam" left, I have received multiple emails and texts from multiple addresses and phone numbers all claiming to be affiliated with Puls. They have persisted even after I have directly asked them to stop. Some have even promoted me to tip "Sam" after he refused to do any work and pressured me into giving him my credit card information. An appliance repair company should, at minimum, repair appliances and not put its customers at risk of credit card fraud. So far, Puls has done neither for me. I cannot in good conscience recommend them for any services. read more

The company will quote you with a price for a service call and then inundate you with pressure to join their service plan. They text and email you to death! They make the payment process complicated and confusing. I was told I would be able to remove an extra charge when I paid on the payment link but the price went up instead. So I paid a premium for a job that took less than 10 minutes. Also, I did not like that the serviceman came to my house without a mask. He was very lackadaisical about the whole appointment. I have to call PULS to located service tech. 3 guys in small little car show up with 1 screwdriver between them. When i made the appointment i informed PULS of the refrigerator model and serial number. I even described the issue. So PULS had prior iinformation - a heads up. However they have nothing to repair anything other than than 1 screwdriver. I was told the replacement of the mother board with labor plus a 3 week wait on the part would cost me over $500. Woke up on a Monday morning, two days before welcoming a family of house guests, and my refrigerator was breathing its last. I called PULS and booked an appointment online for the same day, morning, amazing in itself. And not only did they text me several times to let me know where their technician was (and his name), but he actually CAME ON TIME! Technician Sean was amazing. He explained every step of the way, even showing me the innards of the fridge and what was wrong; he fixed the problem in less than an hour. He was polite, courteous, professional, and my very protective Labrador retriever, after a cautious bark or two, lay down and relaxed on the floor while Sean fixed the fridge. Do NOT use PULS!! They have the GOOGLE search engine automatically connect to their website when you search for "home appliance repair" even if you put down a specific company like "Sears". They fraudulently claim to be affiliated with whatever company you're googling for but they are NOT. A PULS tech quote me on a defective drain HOSE and came to my house to replace the drain house. When he hurriedly left, he did NOT replace my hose, made a terrible mess in the washer and dryer room And the half bathroom (he dumped the water from the washer into the bathroom toilet" claiming that he "tried to clean up". AFTER the repair, the washer STILL DID NOT DRAIN because he did not replace the hose which was allegedly the problem. I have asked for a refund and they asked for photos to show that the work was not done which I submitted. Then they asked for a diagnostic report from another repair company. In short, I submitted the photos and diagnostic report from another company yet I am given the run around about getting my money refunded. THEIR TECH MISDIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM, DID NOT GIVE ME ANY PAPERWORK TO SHOW THE ESTIMATE NOR PROVIDED A RECEIPT FOR MY PAYMENT FOR A SERVICE NOT RENDERED, LEFT MY HOUSE A MESS, AND I STILL DO NOT HAVE A WORKING CLOTHES WASHER! read more

I wish my experience with this company would've been different. I really did want to like this place. Let me start off by complimenting on how easy it was to schedule an appointment, and how convenient it is for a technician to show up to the place of your choice the fix your phone. However,the quality of the screen that I received has not at to my standards. The sensitivity of the screen is not the same. I have an iPhone 7, and even with my very cracked screen before, I was able to open apps, close apps, answer phone calls, etc. With this new screen I received I was not been able to simple task such as answering my own phone. I have to wait till I miss the call, turn off my screen and dial back. Also have the same experience when opening and cloapps. The sensitivity is not the same. I called customer service and I was told I would be receiving a new screen, and when the technician arrived he said I would be receiving the same quality screen. In which I decided to not waste any more of the technicians time and called customer service instead. I was refunded the full amount that I had paid. I'm really glad I was able to get my money back. The customer service was great, and followed up to insure our money was refunded. If you aren't completely satisfied with your screen they will refund your money which is great! read more

The guy showed up to my job 2 hours later and replaced the screen in 20 minutes. The screen was so dark I could barely see anything. I was told AFTER the repair that they do not use OEM products for Apple and will not tell you that unless you ask. I called and talked to a supervisor who re-scheduled me for another tech to come out on Thursday for free to replace the screen again with the SAME non OEM screen. The tech was a no-call no-show for the entire day. I called and spoke with ANOTHER supervisor who apologized 100 times and set me up with ANOTHER apt. on Friday for 12:00 at my job. The tech called me at 2 and said he would not be here until 3. I told him I had already been waiting for 2 hours. He then called at 3 and said he couldn't be here until 6. I WAS DONE!!!! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!! I waited over 48 hours for someone to come and replace the crappy LCD screen they put on the 1st time, had 2 different techs that were no shows, and I still have a dark screen I can barely see. This is a terrible company that has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. And now I have a worse screen that before. read more

He never updated me and basically Just took money out of my pocket and I ended up having to call someone else. After he left I noticed he didn't install xbox so I immediately sent a message to Puls, just asking for a refund of the $20 i was charged for xbox connection. My daughter hooked the game up herself. I scheduled a Puls 'technician' to come fix my dishwasher a year ago. They came out as schedule and got the dishwasher working 'one time'. After they left it stopped worked immediately. I finally called another reliable local company and found out the machine was out of balance and one balancing leg was rusted through so it would never be able to be reliably balanced. Cut to this year. I have since moved and got notice via email that my 'subscription' was declined due to the wrong expiration date and the please get on their website and fix it. I had no idea that the charge from last year was for a subscription. I emailed the 'support' and they assured me I could cancel. They have no phone number to contact them. After several continued emails to fix my credit card info - and getting replies that they were 'processing' my cancelation. I was SHOCKED that they were able to put through an $84 + charge on my account with the WRONG info. I contacted their support again and again was 'assured' that this was be fixed. Meanwhile I was charged and of course contacted my bank to find out how they could have even got a charge through with the WRONG information. Needless to say the charges were disputed and reversed - however, this company is a complete SCAM. They do not have a way to contact a person except through email and their 'technicians' in my experience did not really know what they were doing. DO NOT use PULS for anything. Absolutely a scam. Called them to fix a washer and look at a freezer. I was told it would be a $79.00 service fee charge to assess the situation. Technician came out (with a translator, because he didn't communicate in the English language), didn't fix the washer and broke the freezer. No customer service, no one will call you back, no one will help if there's an issue. I finally received an email 3 weeks later telling me sorry, they won't refund. Technician was reading the manual while trying to repair, and had no idea what he was doing. It cost me $900 to fix my freezer after they left and I had to replace the washer entirely. Because they take your credit card upfront, they can charge whatever they want. I was charged $228.00 for them to come out and break my appliances, and they won't refund. Learn from my mistake, just call the local repair shop who's been in business a long time. This company is the worst I have ever dealt with period. read more
