My friends and I stopped by on our way out of Las Vegas on a Sunday evening (~9PM) and were so surprised at the variety of items available so late in the evening! After a weekend full of relaxing and good eats, we decided to stop in to grab some snacks for the road. There was plenty of parking and only a short line in front of us. While some things were sold out, there were also some items that were just being added to the front display. I grabbed a couple breads, a couple egg sandos, as well as a few onigiris -- and the onigiri was still warm! Everything was delicious and we were a happy car with our snacks despite a late night drive back to SoCal. I had trouble deciding on a flavor for one of my breads, but the staff -- as well as a few kind patrons behind me -- gave me their recommendations and it did not disappoint! We've tried Pullman Bread a couple times now, and we can't say we're impressed. The quality does not justify the price. Very, very overpriced for what it is. I've had better and fluffier bread elsewhere for a much better price. The croquettes are definitely not worth getting. For $5.50 you get mostly mashed potato filling. You're better off going to Tous le Jour where the filling actually has more meat. The katsu sandos are pretty good. For a whole sandwich you pay $15. The quality of chicken is good. Again the shokupan is just okay. You also have to pay an additional $2 if you want sauce. The workers are also a bit inattentive and slow. On this most recent visit we ordered katsu sandos, and our bag was just sitting at the cash register while two workers were just chatting. No name was called out. They didn't even notice the bag sitting at the cash register. I only received my order because I asked if it was mine. But customer service wouldn't be the reason I wouldn't care to come here often. Again it's the price and quality of the bread and desserts. Definitely not worth a drive. If you're in the area, I personally think there's better options for Asian bread. But the sandos might be worth getting as I don't think there's anything too comparable nearby. I'm not sure how they operate 24 hours. Maybe the high prices allow it. read more

The regular egg salad sandwich was fine but nothing special for me. The salty (plain) bun was buttery and soft and you could taste the salt, which I liked. Again, good but nothing extraordinary. The servers were very friendly. It's a little pricy for what you get, so not sure if I want to come back to try the desserts, but maybe that's where they shine. There were so many different Japanese foods to choose from, I wished I had a larger stomach. I ended up choosing Autumn Purple Pudding, Apple Filled Bun, and Seasoned Egg Sandwich. The cashier was so sweet and gave me a free Chocolate Custard Cream Bun. My favorite was the Autumn Purple Pudding which wasn't too sweet and had a nice purple potato flavor to it. The Apple Filled Bun had a nice balance of tart and sweetness. Even though the Seasoned Egg Sandwich was so simple, the savory sandwich was delicious. I was so excited to go to a bakery that's 24/7!! The onigiri here was so yummy. We also tried a mango dessert as well as a matcha tiramisu and I loved the bitterness of their matcha. Finally got to try Pullman Bread's popular items! I've been here once before, but I can't remember what I got haha. The shop is relatively small, but it's super cute! The workers were kind and helpful. I had asked if some items were still available because I didn't see them in the display case or near the front of the store, but the worker who helped us today said that some items (that we didn't see on display) were made just 20 minutes prior, and other items are on either sides of the store. Today, we got the Strawberry Sando, a Pork Bun, Wagyu Onigiri, and Eel Onigiri. The Strawberry Sando was really yummy! I thought it was relatively sweet, but my girlfriend thought it wasn't too sweet (which she likes). There is definitely a Lot of creme, and I wish that the strawberries were smaller or cut up into more bits so that each bite would have some strawberry. The bread was very soft!! The Onigiri were good! I just tried the Wagyu Onigiri, but I am a fan! The Pork Bun was hands down my favorite item from tonight. It was like an elevated siopao with the yummiest filling of pork and onions and a sauce on the side. When we first got the bun, it was still fresh and came right out of the steamer in front of us. I heard about Pullman via @annikasleaf, and her visit featured the onigiri and baked bread that was shaped into a cat head. My family and I tried the onigiris (wagyu beef, salted salmon, and tempura shrimp), charcoal bread, bread made with honey, and the milkbread. Pullman also has sandwiches, desserts/pastries, snacks, drinks and more. The breads made with charcoal and the one made with honey were both ok. They weren't cushy soft nor overly sweet. They were sweeter than plain, white bread, but the overall flavor was mellow. I kept both loaves in the fridge, but the charcoal bread ended up going moldy within the week that it was bought. I had the honey bread cut thick for future makings of french toast and it was perfect. The milk bread was also good for making savory sandwiches and sweet flavored toasts. My siblings liked the wagyu onigiri while I liked most the salted salmon. They both had a good amount of filling and were not dry. The tempura shrimp onigiri was dry and had one piece of shrimp inside. The shop does not have any sitting room and not much standing room, but the store and staff are inviting and helpful. There's even a microwave provided for you to heat up your food if you want. There's a good amount of foods there to try, so I'll be returning. :) read more

They were very nice and truly helpful. I had a few questions and all were answered and made choosing much easier. Everything look delicious and I was unsure what to try for my first time here. Something that I can appreciate but it can be good ABD bad is that they seem to add and remove items from their menu quite regularly and you try something and enjoy it but head back and it's already gone. I don't mean they run out of it, I mean it's no longer made. I see that the are no longer open 24/7, that was one thing that was unique to them. All in all my experience was a good one. This was my first time at Pullman Bread, and I had a good experience. The stand out food items that I got were the Tuna Mayo Rice Ball and the Strawberry Matcha Tiramisu. The Rice Ball had a good tuna to rice ratio. The SMT had a nice sweet creamy milk flavor along with a strong earthy matcha, that was nicely accented with fresh strawberries. The service was great and the place was nice, clean, and organized. The reason I am giving them 3.5 stars is because of the sandwiches. I thought they were lacking in some areas. Definitely nothing to write home about, but fun to look at and take pictures of. The egg sandwich did not have enough egg and was lacking in flavor. The strawberry sandwich was okay, but just expect it to be mostly whipped cream and bread. They only put one strawberry in the whole sandwich, which I was not expecting. The total for everything in the picture was $45. The service was great, the store was clean, and they do have some pretty solid and yummy food choices. (3.5/5) read more

We made a quick stop at Pullman Bread right before heading to the airport. That was one of the best decisions of the day! I quickly got overwhelmed because I wanted to order everything. The staff was so patient and friendly as I kept adding to my order. We ended up with a jidori egg sando, tuna sando, fruit sando, several onigiris and a couple of melon pan. We also grabbed a steamed pork bun and some kinako mochi. I wish they had indoor seating as it was a little cool outside, but the benches in front allowed us to eat right away. The pork bun was so fluffy and savory, and the egg sando was very good, though I would have liked a touch more mayo in mine. We had the onigiri on the way home and they were absolutely delicious - I could eat three in one sitting. The staff are always friendly and always greets us whenever we've come in. The location is a bit small but it's made for to-go orders only. My husband and I frequently come here for their beef curry buns, chicken karaage, char siu rice ball, and a few of their sweet treats. Some of my sweet faves would have to be their strawberry sando, strawberry cup, and custard cream buns. We also like to stop in and see what other new sweet treats they have. Honestly, you can't go wrong with what you pick. Everything is delicious and flavorful. Very goood bread! Though it is very pricey, for example, a square Matcha or Ube loaf is already $25. While it was delicious I do wish they offered slices rather than just having to buy the entire loaf. This was one of the best bakeries I have ever been to! They have many sweet and savory options, and it is open 24 hours, so you can fulfill your cravings anytime you want! A lot of parking is available up front, and the store has the cutest interior decorations. It can be a little cramped inside because it does get crowded, but it gives you more time to look at the options that they have available. Everything is made fresh, so depending on the time you go, not all baked goods options will be available. I got lucky and was able to order a fresh Wagyu rice ball that came out right before I ordered. The rice was still warm, and the flavor of the meat was delicious. The meat was very tender, and it left me wanting more. I also ordered the salmon sando and enjoyed every part of it. The bread was so fluffy and fresh, and the salmon pieces were thick and fresh.
