I have so many positive things to say about Oswalt Concrete. Jesse and crew show up on time, when…read morethey say they will, and flat out get it done. These days, it's impossible to find a crew that want to do things right, and these folks are sticklers for ever little detail. From the very beginning, Hollie was fantastic, and generated my quote in record time. She gave me a list of options, and explained what to expect as we went along with the permit and homeowner-association approval process. She's a gem, and a total rock-star when it comes time to get it done. There were no surprises, problems, or excuses. These folks know the business, quote very fairly, and do extraordinary work. The quality they deliver is uncommon, being that it's so good, and the crew is so experienced. I noticed they use a lot of new equipment too, and put a priority on safety, quality, and doing things correctly the first time. That meant a lot to me as a customer to know I wouldn't have to deal with breakdowns and excuses from using old and broken tools and gear. Start to finish, my job was done in three days. I can't say enough how happy I am with the finished product. They did a 20 x 25 brushed finish patio, and a 5 x 10 pad next to my garage. I couldn't get other companies to call me back, or worse, they'd show up and under-bid, and then expect a payment and to sign a contract on the spot. These are red-flags, don't work with people like that, you'll likely pay someone else a lot more to fix it later. I talked to 8 different companies before deciding on these guys, because they were clearly the best. Take your time, call everyone, but call these guys too... they deserve the business!

I cannot put into words how much you should hire this company ASAP! They gave me a very reasonable…read morequote for a stamped patio and were very transparent early. I had a good feeling but then they did the work. Wow. Amazing. Everyone in the company from Jesse down was a dream to work with, they humored my questions, worked hard and gave me a product I love. They were very good with communication and updates. They even helped rectify an issue a different company created. They are the real deal. You cannot go wrong with Oswald Concrete.

Do not be fooled by the "friendly neighbor" pitch. If Eli's Paving approaches you claiming to have…read more"leftover materials" from a nearby job turn them away immediately. This is a predatory operation that relies on high-pressure sales and sympathy tactics. The Sales Tactic: The foreman (whose name I later found to be Alex Wanko) arrived with his very young son in tow--a blatant attempt to build unearned trust and sympathy. He talked me into a repair and seal job but after seeing a string of terrible reviews online I tried to cancel. Alex essentially begged for the work, repeatedly dropping his price and promising a "guarantee" they supposedly don't normally offer. Against my better judgment, I caved. It was a mistake. The Failure of Work: Incomplete Repairs: We specifically discussed a major "cap" fix for a broken section of the driveway. They completely ignored this area, instead focusing on a minor tree root bump that I wasn't even concerned about. Unprofessional Labor: Seeing a young child wielding a pickaxe for "work" on the minor section was a bizarre spectacle and clearly more of a sales tool than a professional service. Disorganized Execution: One worker applied heated tar in a completely random, haphazard fashion across the driveway with no discernible technique. It was thick enough I now have concern that hotter summer days will make a gooey mess of our driveway. Broken Promises: After a brief rain delay, Alex promised to return the next morning at 10:00 AM. "I'll take care of you", he said. No one showed until after 4:00 PM. Those workers were surprised the initial repairs were skipped and claimed they couldn't finish the job without more materials. They promised someone would show up to complete the work the following week. The "Scam" Reality: Over a week has passed and they have vanished. The phone number listed on their website is disconnected and they do not respond to online inquiries. They are unreachable because they have no intention of standing by their "guaranteed" work. If you see this crew in your neighborhood, do not engage. They are unprofessional, unreliable, and--based on the disconnected lines and hit-and-run workmanship--operating a complete scam. Save your money and hire a legitimate, local contractor.
