Almost all of their ingredients come from their motherland, so it is authentically made. There's the soft kunafa, sheep ghee, sheep cheese, and pistachio.... And Mohammed, the owner, takes pride in that and how he makes it. He makes sure all his customers are given a somewhat close experience to how it's like im the motherland. And speaking of that, being inside of Nuthut personally warms my heart because of all the beautiful Palestinian art and touches of the culture. All the staff members that I have encountered have been nothing but kind and soooo helpful whenever I have a question or am curious about something. If you're lucky enough to catch them on the day they make their batch, you can watch them make their house blend on the roaster. It is a cool process to watch especially since their house blend uniquely has 5 different beans!!! So all coffee lovers, I mean true ones... if you need a locally owned wholesale coffee provider, this is where you should go. If you love all types of nuts, this is also where you should go, their peanut, cashew, almond selections are great!!!!

I finally got to try this spot and I will definitely be back. Most items are sold by weight and I can settle for a small portion and try more of it. Also, the service was great, he let me sampled the nuts before buying. They also had some samples by the register to sample. Everything I sampled was very tasty. I usually don't drink coffee, but I sampled some of that with a type of shortbread cookie and it was amazing! The shop isn't huge, but it is plentiful and smells amazing.

Like, we-think-you-don't-have-a-day-job kind of late. Noon-ish. On a Tuesday. I don't know who their target demographic is, but it's not anyone with a functioning calendar. When you do manage to show up during their elusive open hours, you're greeted by... well, "greeted" is generous. The staff makes you feel like you interrupted their private cheese cult meeting. Don't expect warm conversation -- unless you're the cheddar. There are free samples, which I respect. If you're feeling broke and brave, you could turn it into a little snack crawl. And the cheese? It's fine. Not bad. Not transcendent. Just... cheese. Maybe you'll find something aged and interesting, or maybe you'll walk out wondering if Trader Joe's would've hit the same for less. Verdict: Free samples Absurd hours Staffed by dairy gatekeepers Cheese that says "eh," not "ooh"

I went in there to buy something that I knew was overpriced but when I asked about it, the guy behind the counter said oh I just put it away in the back, Like I just put it away and I don't wanna be bothered with having to get it back out. So I left. And this isn't the first time I've encountered this kind of experience with the employees who I guess the owners feels It's more important that the employees are happy than the customers are happy. i'll take my business to Whole Foods.

Someone was waiting for their coffee that was being made, as I entered, and the barista did not look up or acknowledge me for quite some time. I stood awkwardly by the front, waiting to be greeted when someone else came in and stood in front of the counter next to me as well. After the barista was done, making the first person drink, he then helped the patron who came in after me and still did not acknowledge me. Finally, after that patron had been helped in their drink was fully made, did I get acknowledged. I ordered the cheddar chive biscuit, and almond croissant, and a plain croissant. I took my pastries home and heated up the cheddar rye biscuit to enjoy, which was dense, but could have been made better with some additional cheese melted on top. The almond croissant was freaking great!! Specifically the almond slices on top and the delicious sweet filling within. The plain croissant was good as well, nothing out of the ordinary. Cute little shop overall.

So for years, I've been grabbing friends by the scruff of their neck as they try to walk into Starbucks, and dragging them into D'Amico. Not on my watch. I bring them over, and watch as their eyes widen in wonder. I watched her marvel over the machine mixing and roasting beans in the back of the shop (used to be in the front). I watch them peruse all the options, finally picking a blend (organic, fair trade Sumatra maybe, or French Costa Rican). I listen as they and the helpful coffee guy discuss the type of coffee machine they have, and watch him grind the beans into a bag specifically for them. And then I allowed them to kiss my ring for showing them where they SHOULD be buying coffee. For the past decade or so, we've also been gifting a bag of coffee to a lot of our loved ones, because it's a useful gift that everyone can appreciate. You can do this too, and you don't even need to give me credit for the idea.
