Logan and his staff went the extra mile to make sure my coffee got to me. UPS was having some delivery issues and delays (understandable, as there is a lot going on right now, but at the time it was frustrating ). When I communicated with the staff at Abbotsford, they made sure to get a delivery to me asap. Their kindness and customer service is greatly appreciated. Also, right now if you order coffee they are also providing very generous samples of another coffee. I had ordered Forza (and included a note in my order that I was interested in sampling Crema). They gave me a great amount of both coffees. At the moment, I have Forza open (description on the bag: "Full-bodied and strong, with hints of dark chocolate, hazelnuts and caramel"). I haven't yet tried the Crema (looking forward o trying it), but Forza is delicious! My only problem lately is limiting myself from having too many cups - I'm sure I will soon be tempted to make coffee late at night (I know they sell decaf options too, so will have to get that next time as well!). Loooooooooooved this place soooooooo much. The coffee selection is outstanding, there are a ton of options for pour over in addition to the already stellar selection in the standard menu. I was so sad they were closed Sunday because I wanted to go every day I stayed in Brooklyn. The cold brew was perfectly balanced and plenty strong. You got a lot of coffee for the price point and it was delicious. I also loved the spiced white mocha which I got iced . The staff was also friendly and worked quickly through the rushes. I don't usually drink coffee but theirs is so good, and they're also a wholesale supplier too so you can easily stock up on your coffee and chai tea here. I've got coffee spots galore that I go to, but none this special. It's large, cozy, yummy & a great working space. I had a caramel latte & asked for it not too sweet & the barista made just that, plus a heart foamy design? Oh, yeah. And then a doughnut with custard? Brought straight from the owner's recommendation. Oh, also, can you say AMAZING customer service? Because I can. It's hard to find these days, so, they've added me to the list of regulars here because you can't beat nice people. The owner, Logan, personally introduced himself to me & checked in a few times. My friend Michelle and I learned so much and had the best time at the free latte art making class! James, our instructor was so funny and made the class so enjoyable. It's free with a purchase of their bag of coffee. It was so much fun that I look forward to taking their other classes. The owner and workers there are truly passionate and coffee EXPERTS! There's so much art and detail that goes into making a latte. It's not about the art but the quality of the coffee bean and love you put into making a proper cup. It's Australian! The coffee was delicious. If you are fancy they have so many coffee blends with various flavors and notes to them available for purchase, whole bean or ground. This is actually a coffee roasters and there are giant bags of coffee beans in the back. Very cool. Only thing I didn't like is that there isn't a big food selection. First off I gotta say the nice things - baristas were nice and the coffee is ok. This is how it has been when coming here lately, and I've been visiting on and off for let's say eight months But the best person who ever served me here, James, doesn't work there anymore! He remembered my name and brought my drink to my table. Since visiting again everything has gone to the junkyard. The cafe is so cramped I feel claustrophobic and this is a warehouse. There is nothing to eat anymore. I do not even want to come in for the coffee and that is the only good thing to consume here. Even if I did, I would feel the hostility of this woman who marches around the place thinking she owns it. Maybe she does, but her face is nowhere in the pictures on the wall. She bumps my table like every person who passes by, but with this conceited "why are you sitting here?" look. I think I heard her name is Sawdiva? With her attitude, I would guess that she fired James. She seems spiteful and very selfish. I could go on and on about other instances I have had to sit with her negative energy, but the rating says it all. Funny side note, they have a sign that says they are customer oriented. Honey, if you were, you would not have let this place go to shambles. New or not, it was better eight months ago. I love this new coffee shop! I first read about Abbotsford in a Timeout magazine and had to check it out since it's only a block from Brooklyn Boulders Gowanus. Staff was friendly and well skilled in his coffee brewing. The space is nice and open with a lot of natural light. Coffee beans are roasted in house and there are a variety to choose from, and beans are sold at a decent price to take home (12oz for $12, 2.2lbs, and 5lbs). It's a little out of the way from where we're at in Fort Greene, we pass several coffee shops to get here, but it's completely worth it. The staff is extremely attentive and friendly. The owner is very pleasant and the location is stunning. Great floor to ceiling windows brings in amazing natural light, beautiful subway tiles along the main counter may the place look warm and elegant, many areas to sit... the coffee is unlike anything I have not tasted before. This review is not only for their amazing coffee but specifically, for their sales rep Logan. I recently opened a restaurant and we signed a contract to sell Abbotsford Road products. Logan was very friendly and easy to work with from the start so the decision to sign with this company became an obvious one right away. However we made a mistake when ordering the coffee maker itself and needed to swap it out. Logan could have easily held us to the original machine but he made a swift adjustment without any questions and made sure the issue was resolved the next day.
