It's what it is. A self service find and pull a part. Makes for a cheap and I believe rather fun day to find car parts. Bring tools though!

Good selection of a few vehicles I couldn't find at the bigger wrecking yards and a great price.

I highly recommend Jackie at the Tucson East location!!!! I first want to say this is my third car…read morebuying experience with Carmax, and I've been happy every time!!! I was in Tucson for work and live in the Phoenix metro area. I'm in the market for a new vehicle and had some time open after work. The Tucson East location was a mile from my hotel so I decided to cruise over and check out what was on their lot. Jackie was amazing. She helped me identify a car and went with me on the test drive at my request since I don't know the area super well. I ended up loving the car and shipping it to a location near my home. I'm still waiting on the arrival of the vehicle- but just wanted to give a shout out to Jackie who was sweet, amazing, personable in every way and very encouraging of helping me compare and review all options. Go see Jackie at Tucson East Carmax for a great car buying experience!!!

I purchased an 2013 Infiniti G37 at Tucson CarMax. Post purchase, I had it inspected at the…read moreInfiniti of Tucson I've gotten service from since 2017, with my last G. The Infiniti techs found a laundry list of major issues. Dark AT fluid, cracked drive belts, dirty air filters, dirty cabin filter, head gasket leak, cracked heater hose, 12 years old old spark plugs that the manual says are change by time, which is 10 years, brakes at 3mm, and dark and dirty differential fluid. Total about $3117. CarMax refused to change the dark AT fluid, which called for replacement, by time or mileage, claiming it was not dark. CarMax refused to change the cracked drive belts, claiming they were not cracked, claimed the head gasket was not leaking, and refused to service, denied that the plugs needed replacing, claiming "well, they could have been replaced already", and finally, denied that the differential fluid was dark and dirty, and again, refused to service. So I am left with about $1200-2000 in undone, needed maintenance. CarMax did change the filters, the heater hose, and changed the front brake pads and rotors. Not quite half the work. You decide who you would trust. Infiniti of Tucson has done right by me for nearly 10 years. Calling their technicians liars doesn't sit well with me. At this point, I wouldn't let CarMax service my lawnmower. There's also taking three weeks to get the car shipped from Amarillo to Tucson and drivable by me. CarMax did refund $651 in shipping. CarMax might inspect 125 systems in a world where cars actually have that many systems. They check the oil, put new shit tires on it, and there's your rigorous process. Buyer **cking beware. The one star is for the shipping refund, or it would be zero stars. CarMax is more like The Car Lots.

I had a flawless and wonderful experience with Alex Rosas (sales) and David Valenzuela (manager,…read morefinancing). I would recommend them for any purchase, I won't be back for a while because they sold me a WONDERFUL vehicle that will last me for decades. I had been looking for an older 4Runner with under 100k miles. I needed something bigger for my family and most of all, reliable. I really wanted a Limited in Black. Two days before, I had found a 4Runner Black SR5 with 69k miles in Phoenix, not the options a Limited had but I didn't think I'd find one. I was so excited. I had gone through the process at another dealership, ran my credit, sent a contract-only to find out they sold to someone else. I was extremely disappointed and disheartened. A couple days later I found the 2015 Black Limited 4Runner with 77k miles at Chapman Honda Tucson. I figured the other one I hadn't gotten was blessing in disguise because I found the car I ultimately wanted at Chapman Honda. I forget what they call it but it was like a "preview" because it wasn't ready-they had just gotten it in on a trade in. This was a One Owner truck and in fantastic condition. I sent my interest form and 5 minutes later-a gal from Chapman called me. She told me someone would call soon, and they did. It was Alex. I immediately came down, I didn't want to lose the vehicle. I was greeted at the front desk warmly and they called for Alex. He was very kind and attentive. Asked if I needed something to drink or if I was hungry. The vehicle was in the shop going through inspection. He said we could go check it out and we did. The service men were so nice when we came. They told me what a gem this was, the previous owners really took good care of it and did all the scheduled maintenance. I took my test drive and I was sold. Because the vehicle was not ready, I did put a deposit down on my card. This insured that the vehicle would be held for me. There were lots of inquires. The deposit was refunded when I signed my paperwork. They addressed all issues with the vehicle. The tires still had good tread but because they were out of code (the date) they replaced them all! The battery was not great, and they replaced that as well. Didn't have to ask, they just did that because of their inspection and taking care of their customers. I opted for the tint because it was a 2015 and it was bad. They removed all the old tint and returned it with a ceramic tint with a warranty. It looks great!! They gave me the top dollar for my trade according to Kelley Blue Book which was fantastic. David got me financed, higher % because of the year of the vehicle and I understood that. It was a great deal and my daughter will drive this in 10 years. When he was processing the loan, he found a better rate for me than we initially thought. Another kudos! All in all this was a wonderful experience. This is my second used vehicle purchase from Chapman Honda Tucson and I would refer any friend and family to Alex and David. Thank you again to Alex Rosas and David Valenzuela!
