We went to the Taste of Chicago at Grant park on 07/10/2022 and of course the lines everywhere else was scary except for this establishment. The guy was very nice especially with my dietary restrictions. Their desserts was very delicious. In fact our entire stay at the Taste, this was the best thing we tried. Unfortunately I can't find their physical location but it seems l can order online. I recommend. read more

I stumbled across Puffs of Doom at the Logan Square farmer's market this weekend. To be honest, the little cream puffs caught my eye, and then the interesting business name drew me in. My mom and I chatted with the guys working a bit and I decided I had to try one. I had the strawberry Nutella puff (so adorable!) and it was delicious - a delectable bit of goodness and happiness! So, folks, if you see this stand at the farmer's market or if they are in the neighborhood, definitely try them out. The BLT one looked amazing, but I had just consumed the biggest brunch ever, so I will save that one for next time. read more

Salted caramel puff 3.5 Value 2.5 The salted caramel puff was creamy and delicious on inside but served a little cold. The chocolate topping could have been richer and not so artificially flavored. Plus for $5, I expected something slightly larger than half tennis ball. The savory puffs for $10 I didn't get a look at, but I hope they're bigger. read more

I love caramel and my daughter heard great things about your caramel sauce so she bought me some for Christmas. Went to have some with ice cream today and I was so bummed! The jar opened with no trouble at all, and the contents are about two inches below where it should be with a white blob of something on the top. This was definitely pre-opened and then sold -- not great quality control. I wish I could add a photo..... read more

Full disclosure, I didn't actually get to try one! I meant to circle back to their stall, but my kids had a long day and we needed to get them home. My husband was smarter than I (don't tell him I said that!) and he didn't choose to wait until later to pick a puff- he ordered the chicken jalapeno popper puff and LOVED it. I really regret that I didn't go for it when I had the chance, so I'll be creepin' online to find my next chance! The guy manning the stall was very nice, personable, and knowledgeable. I learned about puffs when I stopped at the stall, drawn in by the name and cutesy logo, and I really love it when people are clearly passionate about the food they create. read more

Hats off to Rebecca for AH-mazing customer service!! I had a bad experience, and she did EVERYTHING in her power to fix it. Refund + Free retry of the Salted Caramel puff + Free other sweet puff flavors...Whoa is right! 5 stars for the service, logo, and concept. Ok, the salted carm was sooooo much better. Also tried a peppermint fudge, D-licious! Cream on both of these so fantastic. Puff was not dry it overdone. Great flavor combos here. Peanut butter pretzel was ok. Weird cream center. Might be awesome for some people. Still have a few left to try. 4 stars on overall puffs and flavors. Puffs of Doom will see my dollars in the future. From the above and beyond service I received, I'll be happy to pay for something that goes to brand with so much passion behind it. read more

I must put a disclaimer out there that I have known the creator of Puffs of Doom for a while now and I was lucky enough to be a taste tester for her creations before Puffs was even a reality. But there are a few things about the puffs that stand out to me that I think others should know. I expected these puffs to be really rich and sweet gooey processed goodness that I am used to. They aren't. They are....real. Everything about them tastes real, and clean. I hate using buzz words like "clean" but honestly it's accurate. Her flavor combinations are well thought out and when you taste basil, you are eating basil and not a flavoring. Strawberries, blueberries, goat cheese, etc are all as real as you can get and taste as such. It doesn't take a lot of product for it to taste good. I know that now. I had a peanut butter and jelly one and I felt like I was in 3rd grade again, but at the same time, an adult, because it wasn't cloying and gross. It was refined. They are affordable and work hard to make deliveries and access seamless. I ordered quite a few for a work birthday celebration and they went over well in the professional atmosphere. I plan on ordering them again for the holidays. Absolutely fantastic. I highly suggest them for something different and genuine. read more

MrBeast Burger is currently located inside of the Hatchery along with a few other vendors. I love these shared kitchens because they bring a diverse selection of foods to choose from, as well as opportunities for entrepreneurs to get their name out. The shared kitchens are also open at times of the day when other restaurants are closed. This was a different experience in comparison to other shared kitchens I have ordered at. The others have an open building where you can pick-up at a counter or even order onsite, but the Hatchery does not. I parked my vehicle along Lake Street outside of the door where food is picked up. What was odd was that there were no lights, no call button, or no note on the door which made me wonder if it was closed or if this vendor even existed. I nearly considered canceling my order until I saw other customers who had ordered start to pull in. An employee ended up coming out, asking names and what restaurant ordered from. He did not appear to be the friendliest person at the time, but he did return in a reasonable timeframe with everyone's order. It probably would be beneficial if there was some sort of a message informing customers to stay in their vehicles or stand by the doorway patiently as orders are being made. As for my order, the Impossible Beast Style was satisfying in size, but they sure skimped on the mayo, ketchup, and brown mustard. It was to the point where I utilized my own barbecue sauce to give it taste, but even that did not help cover up its over seasoned taste, seemingly doused in one area of the sandwich. While taking my final bites, I made the yucky face in disgust as I chewed. Yuck! Sadly, I have to say that it was by far the worst Impossible sandwich I have ever had, and I have had several. Obviously as indicated in this review I did not have the greatest experience with MrBeast Burger. I would have been open to ordering with again, but this experience makes me ambivalent about ordering with in the future. ~Blessings~ Thomas G

In my opinion, they're one of the best cookies you can get. So when a friend called me and confidently said, "I know a cookie that's even better than I Can't Sleep cookies," my curiosity was immediately piqued. That led me to a ghost kitchen operating out of Jason's Deli near me. My first hiccup came before I even tasted a cookie. I couldn't order at the counter. I had to order through the app. Not only that, I could only order through the app, and the smallest order available was a dozen cookies. So there I was, standing in front of the cashier while he politely explained that he couldn't take my order. I had to place it on my phone, which would then send him the order to make the cookies I was already standing there asking for. Needless to say, we were off to a rough start. At that point, though, I was committed. In for a penny, in for a pound. I grabbed a seat, pulled out my phone, and ordered these supposedly legendary cookies. When they finally arrived, I have to admit they were good. They came out warm, soft, and fresh. I tried the chocolate, oatmeal, and chocolate chip, and each one had a nice flavor. But better than "I Can't Sleep" cookies? Not even close. The cookies were enjoyable, and I'd eat them again if someone handed me one. But they didn't live up to the hype.
