I'm not going to lie...staying here scared us. Pulling in right before me into the driveway of the…read moreFairfield was a tour bus full of senior citizens. As they were unloading, we snuck around them to the front desk. The front desk told us that this was the first of 2 buses that would be staying at the hotel. The front desk clerk checked my wife in while I was unloading the car, and told my wife that she had upgraded us to a nicer room. Our room was a king bedroom suite according to my wife. It was supposedly a little larger than the other rooms. The room had a nice sofa and a work area. A small refrigerator was available for us to use. The bathroom was adequate. The toiletries were the usual bonvoy special. The room was good enough to give a couple of good nights of sleep. Breakfast was served in the morning downstairs. Because of the multitudes of elderly there on a bus tour, they also opened up a conference room for additional seating during the breakfast hours. The breakfast was decent for a Fairfield with scrambled eggs, sausages, breads and fruit. 2 waffle irons were available for you to make waffles. The hotel gym was located on the first floor. It had ellipticals, treadmills and bikes for your cardio equipment. Dumbbells were available for you to lift. Santizing wipes were available for you to clean the equipment. I got to meet a few of the participants on the tour from both Ohio and from the Pennsylvania Dutch Country. They were really nice people with a great sense of humor. They told me that I could be a stoway on the bus. The hotel was good. It was better than I thought it would be. Meeting the nice people on the tour made my stay even better. Nothing to be scared of.

Fairfield Inn Cape Cod on October 3 and 4, 2025…read more The first day of my stay was excellent -- the room was clean, comfortable, and met my expectations. However, the following day I encountered unprofessional and unsanitary conditions that have left me extremely concerned. On Saturday afternoon, I approached the housekeeping staff to request clean towels and politely asked that they not clean my room. The housekeeper I spoke to was dismissive and rude. She asked me to place the used towels on the floor, then handed me a trash bag and instructed me to place the towels inside myself. I found this behavior unprofessional and disrespectful. Worse yet, on Sunday morning, while drying myself after a shower, I was horrified to discover dried blood on one of the supposedly clean towels that the same housekeeper had given me. It was extremely disturbing and unacceptable for a hotel of Marriott's standards. I immediately re-showered and used a clean shirt to dry myself instead. At checkout, I showed the photo of the towel to a front desk employee (a Latina woman), who asked for my phone number on a yellow sticky note and told me the manager would contact me. No one has called me since, and it has been several days.

"In a nutshell "STF" sub par tourist food! This restaurant…read morelooked great from the sidewalk. Outdoor seating on a pretty patio area and a solo guitarist. Ughh so disappointing though. After walking through town and checking out the boutiques we decided to stop in to grab dinner before heading back to our Air B&B. This was a Thursday evening around 6, just before the downtown area got busy. We were sat promptly and a waiter took our drink order. Drinks came within 10 minutes and we placed our order- an appetizer of calamari, a salad with grilled shrimp for me and risotto and scallops for my husband. We waited 22 minutes for our app. The calamari was very good though I do think the portion was a bit skimpy. The cocktail sauce tasted like it came from a jar which was disappointing. The presentation of the dish was fairly lackluster. The apps and the entrees are delivered by two different people but neither are your original waiter. Our meal arrived about 15 minutes after our apps. The salad was arugula with slices of oranges and fresh tomatoes along with the grilled shrimp. The tomatoes were amazing and the shrimp were just ok. I didn't find them overly amazing but they were decent. Decent as I'm not much different than a neighborhood cookout. My husband's risotto was bland and slightly undercooked. The scallops looked about as good as they tasted and I can tell you that they did not look all that good. Presentation was not great, and the scallops were just so -so. They did not have a sear which is fine but they also didn't have that fresh sautéed feel, taste or look to them. Just meh. Our waiter checked on us about three quarters of the way into our meal. We never saw him again and had to ask another server to track him down to get our check. Our meal with a high noon and a beer was $110. Honestly I wasn't impressed in the slightest by the food or the service. This seemed more like an establishment in a great location but that's about it. I can also say that the inside seating for the restaurant was empty. By the time we got our meal the downtown area started to get busy and 90% of the foot traffic walked right past Torino's without stopping. There was a pizza place down the street that was super busy. But it seemed that most of the traffic passing by Torino's had to go boxes. Unfortunately I'm not sure which restaurant they were coming from. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant and I won't be giving it a second chance. For the money it wasn't worth it. I also can't stomach paying $10 for a single can of high noon. It's high noon. But I'm all fairness I do expect tourist prices so I wasn't overly surprised.

While they've made a few enhancements to the interior - it was always softly lit sitting and eating spaces, accented by beautiful exotic art pieces, live fish in large bright aquariums and tasteful decor. Super spots for 2 or 4 to enjoy delicious drinks and an authentically tasty meal. Or tall tables for 1 and a good read. I remember the bartender/server from years ago - a man of few words but incredible drink making skills! We had margaritas that he MADE FROM SCRATCH - no plastic bottle of margarita mix, he prepared them with fresh fruit, juices and tequila with the artistry of table-prepared guacamole or Japanese cuisine - and SO tasty! One is featured in the pics. See the VERY extensive and beautiful menu; I've had several dishes in the past, none of which disappointed, but I returned to the Spicy Fried Rice with shrimp and pork, and Paul had the Ying's Ramen. My apologies, it smelled SO good that we fell upon it like wolves the instant we got home, so no pics of our dishes. But there are plenty of pics in their menu, which I've posted along with some interior shots. I put a lot of emphasis on personality and guest interaction, and as great as the drinks were/are, a more welcoming engagement with the bartender/server would get a 5 rating, easily. We got a hint of a smile when he bought the nicely packaged bag of food out, but overall felt more tolerated than welcomed. 4.5 is the rating. Try it - the food is amazing, and for some, that's all that matters.
