I ordered a Caesar salad with fresh anchovies and shrimp. The salad was overdressed, dripping and dressing. The lettuce was wilting and brown and a total disappointment on a positive note. I must say the shrimp were good. Service was decent, but the food was unacceptable. I'll have to think about giving them another try but based on my first impressions, it was a big mess On a positive note, the owner of the restaurant called me after this review and apologized that my experience was less than expected. As they were unloading, we snuck around them to the front desk. The front desk told us that this was the first of 2 buses that would be staying at the hotel. The front desk clerk checked my wife in while I was unloading the car, and told my wife that she had upgraded us to a nicer room. Our room was a king bedroom suite according to my wife. It was supposedly a little larger than the other rooms. The room had a nice sofa and a work area. A small refrigerator was available for us to use. The bathroom was adequate. The toiletries were the usual bonvoy special. The room was good enough to give a couple of good nights of sleep. Breakfast was served in the morning downstairs. Because of the multitudes of elderly there on a bus tour, they also opened up a conference room for additional seating during the breakfast hours. The breakfast was decent for a Fairfield with scrambled eggs, sausages, breads and fruit. 2 waffle irons were available for you to make waffles. The hotel gym was located on the first floor. It had ellipticals, treadmills and bikes for your cardio equipment. Dumbbells were available for you to lift. Santizing wipes were available for you to clean the equipment. I got to meet a few of the participants on the tour from both Ohio and from the Pennsylvania Dutch Country. They were really nice people with a great sense of humor. They told me that I could be a stoway on the bus. The hotel was good. It was better than I thought it would be. Meeting the nice people on the tour made my stay even better. Nothing to be scared of.

So we went to the hostess and said table for 2 and took the buzzer and were told 45 minute wait. It was an hour wait but I loved the experience and was ok with waiting. So when our buzzer buzzed. I headed to the hostess stand and there was a long line. I didn't want to be rude so I said the lead hostess "hey I just got a buzz" she said "ok maam I will be right with you." She continued to take down the names of the multiple groups of people in line. I decided that I would go to the back of the line to be respectful. As we were just about to near the front I hear her say "table ___ is a no show we are giving away to table ___" the people she gave the table to were people who were bothering her about the long wait time while my boyfriend and I patiently waited. She went to then give me ANOTHER buzzer as she gave our table away although we were there on time and then ignored. I gave the new buzzer back to her and told her that we previously were there with our buzzer and told her and she told us to wait a minute but ignored us. My boyfriend chimed in to say that he saw her give the table away to the next people on the list that were bothering her while we patiently waited. The hostess didn't say sorry and let us leave after we were very respectful. As someone in the industry it breaks my heart. I have been in her position and have done everything I could to make it right and to allow my guests to have the best experience possible. All she did was stare at us as we expressed concern. I was deeply hurt after this interaction and left wondering what I did wrong. All I tried to do was be a loyal customer and be respectful and I was patient and was punished for being patient and respectful. All I want is some recognition and apology.
