The menu has a lot to offer... more than I had expected. Very pretty, windows gave fresh air, employees very sweet... 10/10 if I come by again, I'll be sure to order more than I had today.

I left the restersunt tonight feeling "meh" about my experience. We sat ourselves, as no one was around to seat us. It took a good bit of time for someone to come around and give us menus (understaffed? Neglectful?). We ordered quickly, but it did take quite a while to receive our drinks- despite the waitress taking on more tables. We received our food quickly. I had the bistec encebollado. The sauce on the beef wasn't my favorite, and the beef was not what I was expecting- tasted like a roast with some sauce. The rice was flavorless. The salad was typical of other salads I've had. I did not eat the beans. The place felt clean, and was in a good location next to the harbor. Probably would not return, as there are more places to try out and nothing presented to us really stuck out.

We stopped by for lunch on a weekday and were immediately seated. We ordered the shrimp, fish (chapín), octopus, and lobster empanadas. They were all very flavorful and freshly fried. The restaurant is all open with fans, and it had low playing music. Overall, good ambiance.

This spot never disappoints the food is always on point. The waiters are nice and attentive making sure that everything comes out on point food wise. The environment is always a vibe it's just always hot but that's typical for Puerto Rico

Definitely recommend paying a visit to la Parguera if you find yourself on the Southern Shore if Puerto Rico! This is one of the many small restaurants located on the "boardwalk". The food was super tasty and the staff was super friendly! The mixed seafood salad was amazing, as well as their mofongo! They have a wide variety of the Traditional Puerto Rican dish, so make sure you come hungry!

This is the second time that I have visited this place, and both visits have left me disappointed. The service is horrible and unacceptable. The waitress tossed our food at us, and was extremely rude. She wasn't attentive and neglected our table. She never brought us our bill so we had to go to the register ourselves and ask for it. When the owner asked us about the service that we received, we told him about the waitress's bad attitude. However, upon telling him about her attitude, he acted as if he had never had this problem with that specific waitress before. He also said that she was one of the best waitresses he had in the restaurant. But if she's one of the best, I don't want to encounter the worst one. Do NOT come to this restaurant if you want to be treated as the gum on the bottom of someone's shoe.

For those people waiting for their tour in Parguera , this is perhaps a better choice among limited options . There's enough room with roof top that can accommodate bigger families too. The food is authentic but not special when compared to restaurants in old San Juan

Nasty, oily and salty sorullos. Would not recommend. Regret buying two orders we didn't eat them.

Great bar food. No thrills, great service. No ocean view though. It's a typical seafood place

We were in Maricao and we wanted to have lunch at a Puerto Rican food place and we had been told good things about the Casona de Artemio in Las Marías. The road is a little dangerous but we went there. The food was very good, service excellent (the girls who served us worked very hard). Very reasonable food prices (generally between $15 and $30 per dish) and drinks were affordable too. The only thing that surprised me (negatively) was the exorbitant price of what they call "crème brulé" and that was a Catalan cream (both are very similar, but the consistency of "crème brulé" is less solid than that of the Catalan cream, (I have lived in Paris and Barcelona, and I know the difference well). While the price for other desserts fluctuated between $4 and $5, the price of the crème brulé was $8.50. The cream was good but not extraordinary nor was the portion big (maybe 3 ounces) to justify that price (and the price wasn't explicit on the menu either).

This review is intended for non-locals…read more I have an app on my iPhone to record the noise level and after five visits (their "siete potencias" fish soup is out of this world good) can tell you they keep the music level at an average of 98.3 dB. If you worked at the airport and stood next to a revving jet engine, that would be about 100dB. Not surprisingly, you will need a megaphone to be heard while you are placing your orders. Also, bring some constructions red flags to wave uncontrollably in order for you to get the attention of the servers at no other than the ordering spot on the counter. To say the service is slow would be an understatement. Based on five visits I would estimate there is a 99% probability they will get something wrong with your order. Stray dogs (and chickens) roam the dinning area (I wish it wasn't so), if you need to use the bathrooms there is a 100% probability it hasn't been cleaned on that day and there will not be any paper towel (that is pretty much guaranteed). The trash cans in the dinning area will always be overfilled with trash. You may be tempted to empty their trash cans, in an act of random kindness, in the dumpster adjacent to the restaurant but I will discourage you from getting within 50 feet of that dumpster. The "view" along with the stench will likely have you running to your car and you will not be able to run away fast enough. I saved the best for last. This passed Friday I stopped there, yet again. Why, you may ask? Because I am telling you, their fish soup keeps me coming back to it. The experience was the same as the other four times except this time there was no queue to order (it still took about ten minutes to order) and a "chinchorreo bus" pulled up right behind us with about 50 people! After getting our lunch (for three people) and the mandatory fish soup, I stood there trying to pay for about 15-20 minutes. It did not matter what I did to try to get their attention (and I was right there at the counter), they either ignored me or could not see or hear me, which would not be surprising. And so I did what I had never done in my life: I walked away, got in my car and went home (without paying). I do not recommend you do the same but my frustration level was at the highest it has ever been, mostly because the workers kept ignoring me regardless of what I did to get their attention. I kept waiving my debit card in hand, lunch on the counter and my two daughters behind me asking "what is wrong with them?" Every two minutes or so. Two things will happen now: I will offer to pay for that lunch on the next visit (I am telling you, I am addicted to that darn fish soup!), or they will contact me after reading this review, at which time I will pay them with 100% premium for not doing it when I should have. I still will not leave a tip... In summary, their fish soup is to die for, their service is so bad there isn't a scale to measure it, the music is so loud you should consider it as dangerous to your hearing, you should bring a megaphone to be heard placing your order or asking for the bill, and you will wonder how on earth this place stays in business. And the answer to that last question is, because people like me May complain and warn others about the health hazards of coming to this place, yet we still come back for that darn fish soup...
